it seems that the chapters for shattered legion and black shields are switched in my book. Die to that even some of the mentions of pages in texts do not line up.
I just want to ask is it only mine that is switched, or is it a bigger „misprint“?
Hey there!
My dad is a big fan of HH, and wants to start a DA army. MKIII armor is also his favorite, and between that and the special weapons it seems like the perfect place to start! Above all I’m looking to gift him a decent sized base for an army that also captures the vibe of the DA of the heresy era.
We’re both way more interested in the fluff and fun side of things, and I already have an Age of Darkness box set I’m planning to make into Night Lords. Ignoring money as a factor, what are your recommendations for expanding the Battlegroup box set into a fluffy dark angels army that can match Age of Darkness (approximately) in power? If it helps, he’s a big fan of the Fallen as a faction and a subplot, and also the knight aesthetic. I know everything can be built differently with different points values, but any suggestions would be great!
I bought a sicarin battle tank during ninth because i thought they were baller but havent played since and now that they arent able to be brought in 40k i want to use it before i buy a 40k tank but cant get one at the moment so what 40k tank is the sicarin relatively similar to in size so i can proxy it
So I'm reading the HH and just finished Legion and I'm low key about to go down the rabbit hole of Alpha Legions being loyalists playing the long game. Are there any other lore books about the legion?
Not the best picture but I am happy to finally add a Fellblade to my death guard. 6 tanks down and 4 to go (as that is all which will fit in my cabinet)
The plan is for sigismund to go with a unit of Templars and an apothecary in each Templar squad and one in the cannons, Dorn with a unit that has chosen warrior so he cannot be locked down by some random character. Land raiders, dreads and Templars are there for anti tank/ dread. Don’t have much anti terminator apart from Dorns unit or the Templar champions with hammers/ dreads. Sigismund is there to take care of enemy characters that would cause a problem.
But I’m thinking I don’t have enough line scoring units just the Templars at the moment

Hello lads,
I'm here today to ask ye lads what units are very good for a death guard army. I've seen that The Reaping makes heavy support squads as compulsory troop choices, but do they get line?
I heard Spartans are good, not sure about their unique units (I don't know the faction that much).
Is the play style walk on the board and abuse the fact that you don't care about terrain? And since you can use fury of the legion and heavy weapons while moving, should I bring more heavy support squads than tactical ones?
Gameplay and army building tips are extra appreciated!
I've hobbied in Warhammer 40,000 since 4th edition but have only played the game itself since the launch of 8th edition. I want to get into HH as having read the rules I love the nuances but there's a lot going on so want to start slow with actually playing the game. To that end, how this for a Blood Angels Day of Reckoning list to learn the game with.

As I look to grow my collection I already have a Leviathan with claws unbuilt and a 40k Jump Chaplain I aim to use. Looking at adding more assault squads and a squad of 10 Heavy Support Squad armed with assault cannons.
Hi,
I'm eyeing an Iron Warriors army since I always loved the legion and it's primarch. I also love love love big robots. So naturally I thought about building a list feilding a couple of dreads and of course, Perturabo and his iron circle.
Looking at the different RoWs available to see where to take my list from there, I found the Brethern of Iron RoW that would let me feild a bunch more of Mechanicum goodness (I'm in love with the thanatars and domitars), but rules-wise the RoW seems to interact a bit weirdly with the Iron Warriors.
For example, one limitation stipulates that you need to feild a certain number of cortex controllers per automata models. Iron circle domitars are automatas, so does it means that they count in respect of this rule even though they are not "RoW units"? Another oddity: the RoW allows you to feild Mechanicum units but doesn't say if they get your Legion keyword. The Units that a forge lord allows you to take do, so does that mean that RoW units just do not get the Legion?
If that's the case, then going the Iron Brethern route feels a bit counter productive. what would be the best course to make it work? Alternatively, what RoW would you suggest going for instead?
Hello everyone, I’m starting Horus heresy in the summer and I am thinking of using this list, Any T&C appreciated

Does anyone have a comparison of Alexis Polux next to the new MK3-6 marines?
The first step in making my Blackshields army was to paint up a bunch of traitors. I’ll be using chipping fluid to create battle damage revealing these paint jobs.
I think this will ultimately create a cool effect (:
What would be better for 500 points kratos or 10 lascannon marines in a rhino?
Probably a stupidly obvious question, but for heresy, are scout squads on 32 or 25mm bases?
Just want the right size before I bash out 15 of them.
I’m looking to recreate a company from the heresy but I was hoping someone would be able to answer a few questions I had. The company would either be the World Eaters 8th, or one from the Ultramarines. I was hoping someone would know of some of the more relevant and fleshed out companies for UM so I could make that decision. My other question is about any resources that would have names, ranks and stuff like that for members of those companies. I tried using lexicanum but couldn’t find much beyond half a dozen names for the WE 8th. Any help is appreciated!
Hey all - trying to write something out that will have teeth against high-level players and be thematic but also isn’t fluffy snow to be easily pushed aside. Let me know
