Good match over with basic nothing fancy moves that establish that Mirage is the Heel. but a couple of observations: 1. McClane could have Branded Mirage "PHANTASIA" instead 2. Why didn't she as a heel usually some magic tricks like Fireball Flash Paper? https://youtu.be/SdQb8a7JveY?si=Lb0BQs7892HMImDL but the match itself 2 & 1/2 stars
Is this a work?

What's UP, the latest episode of Grit & Glitter is an interview I did with Karen Tran, known as Exodus (of Exile!). I had previously spoken to her alongside her former partner (and forever leader of Exile), Genesis about their experience in WOW. This time around the focus is on what she does outside of the purple mat, but she does speak on her experience in WOW as a whole. Currently she is not wrestling, but is working production at AEW.
Hey Everyone!
Although I am no longer the Voice of WOW, I wanted to take this time to show my gratitude to all of you. Throughout my time in WOW – Women of Wrestling, you—THE FANS—served as my greatest motivator.
I’ve been a long-time lurker on Reddit, and I’ve witnessed so much passion and dedication from everyone that participates on this sub. From the energy you all demonstrate in discussions to the stellar artwork you’re able to create, I am overwhelmed by everything I have seen from all of you. I also appreciate the respect you show to each other and the performers of WOW. In today’s world, it has become instinct to bring each other down. To see all of you engage with each other in a thoughtful manner has proven refreshing for me.
I know I am not alone in my appreciation either. The WOW Superheroes I had the pleasure of working with wanted to win you all over and impress you as much as I did. Without you deciding we were worth your time, your money, and your admiration, we would not have the opportunities presented to us.
Personally, the fact that you all accepted me into your homes for—as David referred to it—the hour of power, carries a great deal of significance. Being the Voice of WOW meant everything to me. I took my job very seriously. I know as the play-by-play commentator, I was the voice of all of you. I was the voice of the people watching at home. I knew if you saw something nefarious, I had to call it out. If there was someone impressive, I had to let the world know. It was an honor and a privilege getting to provide the soundtrack to the matches you all enjoyed over the years.
If I haven’t said it enough… THANK YOU! Each and every single person that watches WOW and every person that participates in this subreddit, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
In the future, I’d like to do an official AMA when my schedule permits. Until then, I will do my best to respond to any comments or questions you may provide to me on this post. You may see me drop by from time-to-time to respond to some of your posts as well.
I look forward to the opportunity to interact with everyone, and once again, my sincerest appreciation for the support you’ve shown me, the WOW Superheroes, and the incredible crew behind the scenes. We work tirelessly to provide you with the best wrestling show we possibly can, and to see the level of satisfaction you take in our hard work makes it all worthwhile.
P.S. Please forgive my awful drawing skills
My market unfortunately doesn’t have the syndicated show anymore, so I’ve tried to keep up with the YouTube stuff. I’m seeing some familiar faces, but also noticed a few members of tag teams flying solo with little mention of their old partners. I know Lauren’s deal wasn’t renewed, saw where Ariel was referred to as the last remaining member of Team Spirit, and remember hearing the hubbub as the Tonga Twins walked. Basically, who’s in and who’s out?
I missed the wow episode was looking forward to Brittany Bay latest match does anyone here know how it went or a link to watch it before it gets uploaded on Youtube?
Just a few observations about this past weeks episode and a question.. I was flipping back and forth between the MLB playoffs and College football si I could have something, so correct me if I am wrong about any of my observations. I am posting because it seems like some of the things people complain about are being corrected.
The only match that contained wrestlers that do not have Indy experience was the first. I think the only one with Indy experience was Gloria G. The other three matches were all Indy wrestlers. So this past episode was not full of inexperienced WOW trained wrestlers
This is the one I may have missed something with respect to a backstage segment, so correct me if I am wrong. Ashley Blaze/Camron Branae appeared to be introduced as who she is. She had no "corny" gimmick that I could tell that people complain about.
Storylines could have been better IMO. The Championship story is not great IMO, but they did start a major storyline in the episode, So while not great I am hoping the storyline that got started will be fun to follow.
Just curious what others take on the episode was.
Saw this on Instagram yesterday. I know they do tryouts every year, but it feels so soon this time around. Maybe i'm bitter because my Number One WOWer isn't in the company anymore, but it feels like they don't even give the wrestlers that have been there a chance to breathe (or establish a personality) before the next wave of new recruits come in.
Not trying to be a hater, but after seeing the PWI 250 ignoring WOW again, it makes me frustrated for the women that have been there doing good work and get overlooked in favor of the new crop of wrestlers that might only last 5 episodes.
I know it's part of WOW's branding to take on women that are completely new to wrestling, but i think they should focus on building the women they already have, maybe only do tryouts every other year or something. The revolving door approach feels like it undercuts all the talent by giving the more experienced wrestlers green talent to work with, and with so many wrestlers only around for a short time, it makes it difficult to get invested in new recruits.
Not to draw comparisons to a show I haven't watched in years, but I got the same feeling with AEW, lots of debuts for incoming wrestlers, they meander for a few weeks and vanish.
