Im currently doing a 24 hour long live stream on twitch of 24 hour long race at Spa. Please come check it out if this sounds interesting to you, if not no worries. Im going to be doing more of these in future so any suggestions for tracks and classes of car for me to do on my next 24 hour race would be much appreciated. Stream link here
Hi everybody, lately I've been trying to find some new motorsport outside of F1 to watch. As I have raced some karting endurance team races I thought that WEC was going to be kind of my thing. Since I found out that this week was going to be the season finale I was excited but it turned out to be quite difficult for me to understand and enjoy.
I guess I'll have to wait til next season to try again but I wanted to ask you how did you started to enjoy wec and if you could give me some advice
Just before starting, just wanted to say that I'm late because I just finished to watch the race on replay so anyways !
The fact that we get (before the #51 penalty), 7 (SEVEN), at the seven first places at the finish line is quite amazing, we're just missing the Lamborghini... I'm not ready to get no races for 4 months, but let's hope we'll get a wonderful 2025 season ! We're really living in the golden era of sports cars racing and I hope you guys understand it ! Endurance racing as never finished to amaze us !
The standings would be very different if both cars could score points (as they will starting next year)
Porsche: 272 Toyota: 252 Ferrari: 199 Alpine: 102 Peugeot: 67 BMW: 65 Cadillac: 41 Lamborghini: 12 Isotta Fraschini: 0
With teams like Ferrari AF Corse, Porsche Penske and TGR, there's 6 drivers split into 2 cars. When choosing the lineups, are there specific reasons that'll lead to, for example, Vanthoor, Estre and Lotterer in one car rather than Vanthoor, Estre and Cameron, for example? Is it just similar setup preferences or is there more at play?
Why cars keep getting penalised for rules breaches is beyond me. This weekend’s Ferrari penalty… how the hell did they not know they would breach tyre regs? After watching an exciting finish and willing on the 51, it a real deflator for fans to se this. Am I missing something here? Feels to me like very simple rules to understand. Is it an easy mistake to make? Feels like simple maths to me!
With Ferrari's demotion, Porsche number 5 gains a place and 4 additional points, number 6 moves up to 10th and enters the points +2. So Porsche has as many points as Toyota but more victories and podiums?
The undefeated HyperCar World Champions
It was a tough season. Ferrari is still King of Le Mans, Porsche got the best drivers, and Toyota is still the undefeated manufacturer champion.
long story i'm excited to see who if an Le Mans Potato class is getting any entries. Isotta and Vanwall is coming back. Am i also correct in saying that there might be some changes in the LMGT3 lineups (some rumour about dames going back to Porsche)
aaand that's a wrap! 2024 WEC season is over! How was the finale? Sound off below!
