With the new two cars rule, in the 2025 for the Manufacturers Championship both car will bring championship points. Instead regarding the Privateer entries, they will remain invisible?
Wouldn't it be better if they weren't?
For example, if in a race a private team came in third place ahead of an official team that came in fourth, wouldn't it be better to assign the fourth-placed car a score of fourth, rather than third?
The assignment of points would not be less confusing?
The same goes for the assignment of points in the World Cup for Hypercar Teams.
I just wanted to say I cannot wait for the coming year with the dames. I’ve been in the comments for months saying “Porsche should acquire the Iron Dames brand” thinking it was just a pipe dream.
Here we are several months later and it’s really happening. The tractor has been banished. The GT3 is no RSR, but still.
Big ups to Michelle for signing with Porsche Motorsport.
We might actually win some this coming year.
Hello! I'm the guy who asked for some hints regarding attending my first motorsport event!
https://www.reddit.com/r/wec/comments/1g2thxp/looking_into_attending_to_my_first_motorsport/
Good news is, that I bought the tickets and I even managed to convince some of my family to come with me!
Bad news is that I went to buy the tickets, I choose to buy 3 at the same time for all family members. I didn't consider that after order is done, all tickets have my first and sur name on them. I was never prompted to name other people that should be eligible to enter.
I want to ask... is that normal? Will my family members be able to enter the venue? Somebody was in similar situation?
Constructive Criticism and feedback welcome always looking to improve and grow
One thing I have always wanted to do is any form of competitive motorsport. But specifically endurance. I am in no way rich. Infact my afterschool job is the only way I could ever pay for this. My parents have already forked out a couple ten grand for my pilots licence. So no more money from them realistically. Im not trying to say, "how to get into hypercar class of we with 15 dollars and a cheeseburger" unrealistic. I don't really care for the series. I just want to be able to be one of the lucky few to do a 24hours of a track. I live in Aus. So my connection probably isn't great. Personally I think I'm a really quite good driver. And very competent. For my age at the bare minimum.
Sorry this question has no structure at all.

Possible effects on the Hypercar program?
Despite the 296 being a competitive car, there seems to be a distinct lack of appetite for a Pro car compared to the Germans, the Brits, and the next door neighbour in Bologna be it in GTWC, IGTC, IMSA, NLS, etc. Is it due to cost or are there more reasons to that?
Does anyone know if it's possible to buy a 2025 WEC TV season pass gift certificate? I'd like to buy it for someone as a Christmas gift. UK based if that's relevant. I can't even find anything on the website about it, let alone gifting it...
The GT World Challenge Europe just had their final race in... Saudi Arabia which last I checked, ain't in Europe?
Either way, it was absolute chaos with loads of incidents and multiple FCY periods, along with something that is becoming frequent with the GT cars racing at tracks with tight opening corners - a huge abuse of track limits on the opening lap.
There was also a MASSIVE problem with the tyre wear, particularly on the Lamborghini's and Porsche's, with the right-rear of multiple cars giving way and puncturing.
It was entertaining though, you had the #51 Ferrari go from the lead, to the midfield, back to the front only to get a penalty, only to then come back once again to take the GTWCE title! Valentino Rossi's #46 BMW crew with Maxime Martin and Raffaele Marciello drove a thoroughly entertaining race, going from 23rd - 1st in the opening hour, a crazy opening stint from Maxime.
With more eyes on GT racing as a whole year upon year - Do you watch the GTWC? and could you be convinced to in the future if the racing is as entertaining as this?
Just watched a GT4 race in YT, and the grid looks awesome! They have Caymans, M4, Vantages, R8s, AMG GTs, racing against Mustangs, Supras, A110s. Can a good career in GT4 lead to a drive in GT3? Are there drivers in the WEC that raced a GT4 car in the past?
