i’ve been a fan of wavves for a while now and i decided to make a costume cassette with a hand made j card, what’s y’all’s thoughts on it 😆
I went to a show of theirs a while back. It was one of the first concerts I went by myself and it was nerve wracking. I tried to break my own tension by introducing myself to everyone nearby and just briefly said hi to this one guy and everyone in his group.
Next thing I know, the mosh pit is going and I’m being squished against the stage and the guy I had said hi to was attempting to assault me, right there in front of everyone. The bassist saw what was going on, alerted security, and the guy ran out of the venue like he had a rocket up his ass. And then Nathan shared a water bottle with me and I felt more at ease throughout the rest of the show. The band saved me from a traumatic experience and turned it into an experience I’ll treasure for the rest of my life.
Idk if they ever look at Reddit but if they ever see it, thanks :)
I don't know if there are any music producers on here but I'm wondering if anyone has an idea how he gets his vocal effect in Nine Is God
I've been enjoying Wavves for months now, got really interested in their early songs from Wavves and Wavvves albums. Don't get me wrong, I kinda like the noise pop/lofi feel (distortion) but it is painful to listen after a while because of it... I've noticed that they're slightly better on Spotify (maybe Spotify has a dB limit when uploading songs??? idrk) but they're still distorted. Is there a way to enjoy these without the lofi/distortion effect??
Hey internet people, anyone have all the songs Zach did in a nice downloadable thing? I use YouTube e for it but I would like to have it in my apple library. Im dumb and don't know how to convert YouTube to MP3 or whatever, so if anyone already has those files and are willing to share, please do. Thanks
We are a teenage duo band from Russia, released our first album inspired by early Wavves. We will be glad if you appreciate it! 🕊️

does anyone know what instrument is used at 0:18 and 1:51 of Mickey Mouse?
Hey! I just finished my journey through Wavves entire discography from their self titled all the way to Hideaway. Each album got three listens before I made my opinion on them.
I got into Wavves years ago through King of the Beach like most people. But I never bothered to listen to all their stuff so this was a neat experience. So without further ado, let's start at the top.
Wavves & Wavvves: I don't have much to say about either so I'm going to put these two together. This is a case where I'm sure the problem is me. I really wasn't big on these two. There's some great songs here but I didn't like the majority. Intro Goth is fantastic and I liked Vermin. But most of these I didn't care for.
King of the Beach: Most people's first exposure to the band, especially with Idiot being in Saint's Row The Third. A fantastic album and one of the band's best. It's not perfect but it's pretty close.
Favorite Track: Green Eyes / Least Favorite: Convertible Balloon
Afraid of Heights: Wavves hit the note perfectly here. This album is incredible. I loved this record. Lunge Forward and Paranoid were tracks I wasn't big on but the record is fantastic.
Favorite Track: Afraid of Heights / Least Favorite: Paranoid
V: This album was....something. I really don't know how to feel about this one. In the scheme of things it just doesn't sound as good as the rest of the discography. Kind of a let down.
Favorite Track: Tarantula / Least Favorite: Way Too Much
You're Welcome: This album is apparently unpopular? I liked it! I thought it was pretty solid. I've heard that Come to the Valley is a bad song? It's one of my favorite tracks here. Not as good as King or Heights but still a decent record, and better than V.
Favorite Track: I Love You / Least Favorite: Under
Hideaway: Another solid record! I enjoyed this one quite a bit too. Though youtube only having music videos for several of the songs kinda sucked. Sinking feeling sounds a hell of a lot better as a song instead of the music video with the constant interruptions. If this is the end of the group it's a great sendoff. That being said, I fucking hated The Blame.
Favorite Track: Hideaway / Least Favorite: The Blame
This was a really fun time. Though the first week kinda dragged due to the first two records. But this was fun and Afraid of Heights is one of my favorite records now.
Best Wavves song: Afraid of Heights / Worst: The Blame
its so funny, i've listened to every album but for some reason your welcome just never .. clicked for me? but recently i've given the album another listen and i'm confused how i never gave it a second thought!! under is currently my favorite song :)
