We are visiting this upcoming weekend and staying in an AirBNB close to Belmont University. We are there for a sled hockey tournament (para-athlete hockey) for one of our kids so we have certain "windows" of time to enjoy the city. We would like help from this community getting ideas to complete our itinerary for our trip. Our kids are 16, 13, 11, 8, 6. We would prefer activities more catered to the older portion of the group as the youngers always seem to find fun in anything:
Things we would like to do: 1) Get the kids to live music 2) Check out holiday themed events (considering some kid friendly 'pop-up bars'). Specific ideas were Ryman Holiday Tour on Saturday. Listening room show. Pancake Pantry Whoville Popup Bar (wish we could afford and get into Geists -- looks amazing)
General Schedule:
Friday
5pm - 10pm - Open
Saturday
8:15 - 10:00 am - Game 1 - Brentwood area
10:00 am - 5pm -- Open
6:15 - 8pm - Game 2 - Brentwood area
8:00 - 10:00 pm - Open
Sunday --> games and leave
Does using a spot hero QR code still print out a ticket for parking? I was having issues with a machine at a parking garage in Downtown Nashville putting my code to the laser but it was giving me trouble, I ended up tapping around the screen but nothing happened, I put my QR code back to the scanner and it printed a ticket out. Wanted to make sure this is normal or a product of my screen tapping? Thanks!
Visiting Nashville tomorrow for 10 days for a work trip. Interested in recommendations on some of the following:
Dive bars - particularly if they lean punk/goth/metal. I've got Cobra on my list but is it sketchy? Saw there were stabbings recently.
Irish bars - I'm from Ireland and live on the west coast where they are poor, if there's anything solid in Nashville let me know.
Pro wrestling events - I couldn't seem to find anything for when I'm there but if anyone knows anything - that would be great.
Thrift/antique store recommendations.
Record stores (Third Man is on the list - regularly visit the Detroit location)
Any must do Nashville experiences?
I'll be hitting up tonnes of the museums while there and am sad there are no Predators games while I'm in town. Thanks in advance!
Would love some advice ahead of a trip to Nashville.
I’ve already booked a double show at Zaines and will be catching a Predators game. Definitely want to check out the music scene and get some amazing food (I’ve heard good things).
I’m a big whiskey & bourbon fan, love music, sports and street photography.
My questions are:
Any and all advice is welcome 😁
Hi! My family will be in Nashville from 12/12 to 12/15, and we’re looking for recommendations on restaurants and activities. We enjoy music, sports, and drinking, and the family prefers more basic food options, if that helps. We’re not too interested in Broadway and would prefer spots off the beaten path. For reference, we’ll be staying near downtown. Thanks in advance!
We're visiting this weekend. We're in our early 30's. Currently live in Alabama. We ain't got much here.
We like • video games • tabletop games • MTG (Magic the Gathering) • DnD • anime • romance • experiences • different food
We're down for just about anything. Not too expensive.
Hii! Thinking of visiting Nashville mid December and was wondering how the weather is like. We will be coming from LA 🌞
Looking to come to Nashville within the next month, we are wanting to stay somewhere with nice soaking tub in the room. Any suggestions?
We are in Nashville for 2 nights, I’m keen to book one of the premium packages at the Grand Ole Opry for the Friday night and want to do that asap to secure the best seats possible, this would leave us only the Thursday for Bluebird. Are there always gigs on to book in advance? (Albeit closer to the date) If that was our key focus for the day is it easier to get into an earlier show?
Hello, I’m visiting Nashville with my family this evening (Wed. before Thanksgiving). We’re all 21+ but we need to find something to do. I’m open to anything. Music bars, artsy stuff, comedy, trivia, etc.
I don’t love country music, but I really like EDM, disco, 70s/80s music, alt music, and I’m super into German pop rn. Folksy music is ok, but I’m looking for a scene with a lil more energy. I couldn’t convince my family to do Dungeons and Drafts with me, so that’s a no-go. I’m into the nerdier things in life, so if there’s some kind of trivia or game night or just a bar with like some geeky energy, I’m all ears!
Let me know what yall think we should try!
Visiting 2/14
Will be visiting for the weekend of 2/14. Looking for a higher end steakhouse that the locals recommend that is within walking distance of Bridgestone arena. I have googled but i want to know where the locals go-to spot is.
I have Celiac so need to be able to trust kitchen staff to not cross contaminate with gluten.
All help is appreciated.
hey! my partner and i are planning a trip out to nashville for a few days (mon-fri). what are some activities/sightseeing/attractions to see? we’ve been before for a weekend and have done broadway (fun!) but wanna see the city more. Any recommendations on attractions and restaurants are appreciated! :)
Hi everyone,
I’ll be spending Thanksgiving weekend in Tennessee, and I’m looking for suggestions for things to do! I’m open to daytime or nighttime activities on Friday, Saturday, or even Thanksgiving Day itself.
I love exploring unique spots, great food, cozy vibes, and anything fun or festive for the season. Bonus points for scenic views, charming local spots, or places with a great atmosphere.
Any recommendations for events, restaurants, hikes, or just general things to check out would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Metallic in May! Staying from 1st till the 4th Need advice on parking for nissian stadium! And also hotel or Airbnb nearby!
Sup yall,
My friend and I are planning to come to Nashville for the first time in about a month. We need some ideas as to what exactly to do though, we plan on going for like 3-5 days since we always talked about it but we need advice on where to go. Here’s some stuff we’re looking into specifically:
Hit a predators game. Main reason we thought of coming. Is there stuff to do at Bridgestone on gameday, like tours or just walk around and find stuff? Also, where’s the cheapest place to get preds merch?
Try actual Nashville hot chicken. Where’s the best place for it? Also we want to go somewhere with good southern bbq.
Best bars?
Biggest/best liquor stores?
Best breweries? Priority goes to the ones that give away the most samples or merch (No we are not alcoholics, promise).
Any other fun stuff we should do or places we have to go? We’re trying to fill up another day or two, so any advice would be cool. Thanks!
My partner and I are coming to Nashville next week for Thanksgiving. The plan was to go visit family, but alas they cannot "support homosexuality"...
Anyways, now I am looking for dinner reservations for Thanksgiving. Any recommendations for local places that are also lgbtq friendly? I lived in Nashville back in 2018, but it has changed a lot since then.
I lived in Nashville for years before moving away a few years ago but my sisters still live in the suburbs and we are convening at Bridgestone next month to see Justin Timberlake. We are going out to eat beforehand and would love to find a nice sit down restaurant like Adele’s or Deacon’s New South price wise and close to Bridgestone.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Hushpuppies being on the menu is a plus but not necessary. Right now it’s just four of us but three more sisters may join so restaurants with that kinda space would be amazing too. Trying to book reservations soon! Thank yall!
I’m visiting this city for the first time. It’s been on my list since 2017. To give you timeframe, it’s not because everyone else is moving there. Where do the locals go? I like visiting cities, and go where it’s not saturated by tourists. I like comedy, live music at breweries, walking in and out of local shops for example. Yes, I’ll be avoiding Broadway. Maybe stop at a corner and look at it. But that’s not my speed.
My husband and I will be visiting the weekend after Thanksgiving. Staying near Broadway. Looking for good non-chain restaurants and a good place to watch nfl games Sunday 12/1. So excited to go! TIA!
Hi!! I’ll be spending my 21st birthday in Nashville on Nov 30, and am trying to find places to go with an under 21 friend. She wouldn’t be using a fake (because I’m assuming it simply won’t work lol) and is kind of gonna act as a glorified DD the whole weekend. What cool places can we go with her also being able to get in? Also wondering if any party buses would allow an U21 who won’t drink. Thanks in advanced!
We will be there Dec 27-30. Thinking about getting a hotel room right in the middle of town so we can walk everywhere. Neither of us drink alcohol. We both like music, food, art, and outdoor activities. Not looking to break the bank, but open to spending a little for the right experiences. What should we see/do? Any great places to stay? Any to avoid? Thanks!
Catching a show at Eastside Bowl in a few months and didn't see any decent hotels nearby. Looking for a nicer hotel with a bar to relax at before/after. Am I better off getting one a bit farther away and Uber'ing? Any recommendations?
It seems we're priced out of downtown Nashville for an Airbnb. Which is the next best area to look? There are 4 adults, 4 kids, and an infant. Thank you!
I’m coming into town this weekend with my friend group. We are going to the hockey game Saturday, anything else we should do? Need suggestions please
I’m looking for a unique gift for my son and his wife and am considering a dinner at Kitchen Social in Brentwood. Would really appreciate input from anyone who has been there. Likewise if anyone has other ideas for an experience type of gift for a 40 year old couple, please send your thoughts my way. Many thanks!
I love songs by Clare Bowen from the show like Black Roses, If I didn’t know better, Fade into you, etc. They are like blue? jazz? I love the atmosphere of the Bluebird cafe they always sing at in the show too. I’m visiting Nashville for a weekend in December, where can I go to listen to that kind of live music?
For anyone visiting in December, here are some good concerts to go see:

My friends and I are visiting Nashville December 4th- 8th. We are staying super close to broadway and are all in our young to mid 20s(23-24). What are some recommendations for us in Nashville?
Best bars? Best restaurants? Best things to do during the day? Best nights to go out?
Thank you!
