Before returning to in-person singing this summer, the Sanctuary Choir recorded one final virtual project. Click here to watch: https://youtu.be/pi5tsN8dcmY!
“Total Praise” by Richard Smallwood is a long-time favorite of the choir, and paraphrases the hopeful words of Psalm 121:
“I will lift up my eyes to the hills - where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.”

Pam Baker, soloist
Jeff Wood, piano
Zack Poelwijk, Hammond B3 organ

Hi, we are music students from Oporto, Portugal. We would like to invite you to answer a short survey about voice health so we can study more about it.
Thank you so much in advance!

Hi all, it's me again!
This semester has been really popular, and I'm in the middle of doing all the editing! We're starting to get stuff sorted for next year already, and so I thought I'd invite people to join again. It's been a pleasure growing the community, and we've gained almost 200 people since August!
Whether you want to get involved with our virtual choir projects, or to showcase your own work, there's a space for everyone here. In addition to the chorally-inclined, we welcome musicians from non-choral / non-traditional backgrounds.
We also have monthly karaoke, experienced vocalists to answer questions, and are an LGBTQIA+ supportive / adult friendly server.
Join to get involved: https://discord.gg/CTUZY7V
Basically I want to know if I need a special mic or headphones. I want to be able to sing without causing all the noise a mic makes when there's a loud noise/someone screams and also perhaps a good pair of headphones so I can hear myself. Thanks!
Hi guys! I've made my own Discord server to bring together choral musicians and enthusiasts, and from September we'll be running regular projects to make virtual choirs and a few other music-related events. We'll also do karaoke semi-regularly (woo!). I've organised two with another server, and am now pretty familiar with the audio editing side of things.
If this sounds like your sort of thing and you might be interested in joining, please pop along and share this link with people you know!
Folks:
I don't know if this is an appropriate place to mention this, but I am proposing a Zoom meeting to try to explore alternatives to using Zoom to attempt to have a real time virtual choir rehearsal. I have posted details on the Facebook group for Virtual Choir Producers, but I was suggested to post it here as well, but I don't know if it is appropriate.
Many of us are using Zoom or any other conference tool to spend some time together with choir members, and we have to get used to it because of probable long suspension of live rehearsals
And I've heard a lot of criticism about virtual choirs.
But I like them!
So let me show you 5 good reasons to start a virtual choir.

Maybe you had noticed that choir members usually send you crappy video with crappy audio tracks, because they’re using smartphones to record their part and because they’re doing that in noisy rooms.
There are several methods to effectively remove noise from audio tracks, and some of them are automatic, others are manual.
I know that it may sound as if a lot of work is before you, but I think that manual noise removal methods are still the best option.

Hi!
When you ask choir singers to record themselves for a virtual choir, sometimes you're asking them the moon.
They've been singing in choirs for years, yet they are terrified to sing alone.
I think there are some common problems each singer has to face when singing for a virtual choir at home, in front of a recording camera.
I'd like to talk togheter about some of them in my new blog post.
Hope you enjoy it!
