A rare Connecticut Warbler was spending time in my local stream. This part of the stream has many birds and frogs currently, and a young deer sleeps there.

I think this is a male Inland Floodwater Mosquito. The female doesn't have the bushy antenna.

Years ago, I could hear a Cuckoo calling from across a stream. It is a bird I have wanted to see ever since. Thank you VA for showing me a Yellow-biled Cuckoo.

I think this wasp is a Ceratogastra ornata. It is about the size of a nickel.

A young raccoon was sleeping high in a tree. I came back later with my birding lens, but it was both cloudy by then and the raccoon was facing the other way.

A young Blue Jay was taught by its parents that people feed the squirrels in the park. The crows, cardinals, blue jays and squirrels all come out when someone is around.

Monarchs are starting to be more common. They have more spots than lady bugs.
