A Cloudless Sulphur out in late Nov. It has few flowers for food and probably will never see another of its kind.

Squirrels buddy up in tree holes in winter for warmth and add insulation. Come spring they won't be as tolerant, chasing each other away.

This is a rust fly from May. It is not named after its color but because it pierces leaves to suck fluids and causes a rust spot to appear.

This squirrel is missing her right hand. Earlier in the year she also had several bot fly larvae living in her. She is now doing well. I try to give her a grape or walnut or something to make her life better.

A pair of mallards have taken to the newly constructed retention pond. Geese and other ducks tend to stop for a day or two and move on.
