Have been vegan for a month. I love learning new vegan recipes.
Learning about ethical treatment of animals and helping the planet even if just a little.
Happy new year folks, I just woke up from last night, browsed a bit through reddit and thought it would be awesome if we could share more vegan recipes this month which are more accessible to so-far-non-vegans and don't need fancy ingredients which you won't finish until the end of this month. Of course all recipes are allowed, but I would love to see some stuff here that helps everyone to enjoy themselves in the next 31 days.
I'll post something as soon as I cook lunch. Have a good one!

So at the 3rd time of trying I persuaded my wife to try veganuary with me with some compromise. Mainly not wasting the non vegan ingredients in the cupboard, but we have managed a month buying no meat, eggs or dairy. We did however use some leftover cheese and some recipes that used vegan butter or vegan parmigiano we used the real stuff that we still had.
Positives : found several tasty satisfying vegan recipes so will be continuing to eat those. Porridge with water is fine as long as you add fruit. Madcucumber vegan restaurant in Bournemouth. If you want to eat out Vegan, go to a restaurant that believes in it rather than a chain with a vegan option.
Negatives: fake meat none as good as real meat. Bk burger was closest, equal to a bad frozen burger. The worst item was a slipper insole presented as a vegan chicken fillet by Harvester. So easy to get caught out, milk in salt and vinegar crisps, one day that was vegan until I ate a boiled sweet. Too easy to focus on a plant based diet and not thunk about animals at all.
How has anyone else done.
