I'm new to this sub, having recently heard about VJL and AFA on "The Bearded Vegans" podcast (episode 254).
Now when I see posts on r/vegan like "one more turkey saved -- pics of our awesome thxgiving feast!" I wonder whether I should comment and tell them that their vegan meals aren't *actually* saving any turkeys (or cows, pigs, etc.), because of meat industry subsidies in the USA. Is this a sound tactic for spreading the message? Or will it just discourage vegans who thought their purchasing decisions were making an impact on the world?
