Question about taking photos of Vaseline glass

Hi there! I have a Vaseline glass bird that glows yellow green in it light. Cool. I can see it glowing but trying to take photos with my iPhone and the glow will not show in the camera even as I’m looking right at it glowing. Is there a reason/ solution for this? Please educate me if you know I will be so great full. Thanks.

Here she is in her glory. I understand that Rubin a verde glass isn’t vaseline glass because it isn’t yellow. But, I wanted y’all to see her.

She is wild. Her name is Myrtle.

If it’s rubina verde, does it count as Vaseline glass?

Vaseline glass lamp inherited. What do you think I’ve got here?

Hello, group. My husband went to a lamp store today for a new shade for a lamp I inherited from my grandmother (b. 1906). She might have inherited it too. The lamp people got very excited and told him it’s Vaseline glass. I’ve ordered a black light flashlight, but it isn’t here yet.

Question for this hive: what do you think I’ve got here? I know you’ll be able to tell more after I can share a photo with it under black light. But in the meantime, I’m thinking 1910 through 1940 design elements, maybe. Looks like it was originally an electric light and not converted from anything older. I’m a total noob at this though. The pink is intriguing.

Appreciate any insights! Thanks, y’all.

do I have anything here?

Salvaged two pieces...I think they may be bookends?... from the dumpster, just thought they were cool looking and had them on a shelf. Bought a UV flashlight for another purpose yesterday and it happened to shine on these pieces, so started researching...I knew nothing about 'Vaseline Glass'. They are crystal clear in normal light, no markings
