You are to assist the Pegille Republic (think steampunk fantasy setting Wakanda, but a tad more corrupt) in securing the Well of Ascension against the Imperial forces of the Titania Empire (deeplore and deep magical secrets. Ancient magics lost to time and the whims of the gods). On the deck of a flying ship, captained by the Pirate Queen, your party of hired mercenaries accompany Lt. Technika, an Omnilimb Artificer.

Can't say much more without major spoilers but some factions include the Moonstalker Conclave, the Finisordo Alpha Team, Azriel the right hand of the Lady of Light, and much more.

Preferably (but not necessarily) part of the LGBTQ+ Community and/or a woman. Strictly speaking, everyone is welcome but please be respectful.

Ideally someone aged between 19-35, likes pizza, is 420 friendly (only very mild intoxication while playing D&D), and wants to make four new friends.

I’m 22F, moved to Vancouver at the beginning of summer and have yet to make any friends. I’ve fallen into a bit of a depressive schlump since the move and have also been recovering from a little heartbreak that’s made finding my community all the more complicated when I avoid people like the plague.

A bit about me: I live a pretty active lifestyle, been going for runs at least a few times a week. I do aerial silks and am almost always stretching/doing yoga at home. I work a morning job as a server at a breakfast place so my afternoons/evenings are almost always free. I’m in school to be an aesthetician and would love to practice some spa services on someone! I smoke a lot of weed. Not a big drinker but I don’t mind going out for beers once in a while!

I’m hoping down the line I’ll have more energy to go out and really explore all the fun activities this city has to offer, but for now I don’t want to overwhelm myself and am just looking for people who’d like some casual quality time together. I'm by no means a cinema nerd, and I don't know many actors or cinematographers' names, but I really enjoy watching films and appreciating the story. I've always wanted to dive into cinema chronologically, but since I'm dedicating less and less time to watching, that's probably a long shot now. Still, I think watching together could enhance the experience, and I miss doing this with my friends back home. Often I find myself relating what I see in a movie to what I'm reading at the moment, and it adds another layer to my take or consolidates it. Sometimes, the cultural background helps me catch subtle details that might get lost in translation or subtitles. For example, I recently watched Fish & Cat, and I was amazed by the single-shot take and non-linear time flow, focusing on one character at a time to loop back and continue the flow with another one. I realized that someone who doesn't know the original language might miss some of the artistic maneuvers happening there. That's where we can help each other better understand and feel the films. I'm interested in exploring different cultures through cinema while enjoying great movies. And better for me if your English isn't perfect, so I don't feel so bad about my own!

Most of the movies I'm keen on will be available through rarefilmm or Kanopy. We can have a get-together at Cinematheque and hop at each other's places from time to time.
