Anything and everything vampire-related, from the classics to modern-day!
Rules
No harassing, name-calling, targeting, etc. Simply put, be nice.
While posts can be made related to vampire tv shows, books, and movies, please make the posts about actual vampire-lore or to do specifically with the vampire aspect of the show/movie/book. For example, this is not a subreddit to discuss the plot lines/who's your favorite character/relationship drama/etc. of a specific show. General questions about favorite characters and such may be asked.
Please attempt to use proper grammar/spelling.
If a post is NSFW, please mark it as so. Failing to do this will result in removal of post.
Flair can be edited. Inappropriate flair will result in a request for removal. If flair is not removed, it may result in banning.
Ultimately, as moderator, I will make decisions based on these rules and you may message me about any disagreements. Repeated offenses may result in banning. These rules are subject to change. If you see any violation of these rules, please report it/let me know.
Also, while not necessary, the following markers would be useful if added to your titles:
[Question] - Any questions on the subject that would not be considered conversation starters. i.e. "Where did the vampire myth originate?" would get this marker, but "Which historical "vampire" is your favorite?" would not.
[Book] - If you are recommending a book (not discussing one)
[Movie] - If you are recommending a movie (not discussing one)

I’m looking for a decently long bl romance book (audiobook preferred but I can read) that has black main characters and either the mc or the love interest is a vampire. Also I don’t like the dark romance stuff you see on the internet. (I prefer wholesome relationships).
Im wondering if anyone knows a vampire in this group.
Think fast!
Just something I thought I’d share here, as it seems most appropriate. Name any song, any. Replace the word, “love,” with the word, “blood.” It’s almost …magical.
Indulge me if a song wouldn’t work 😈
I’ve just finished reading the gathering by CJ Tudor & currently reading Dracula by Bram Stoker. Carmila is on my list. Looking for the next vampire(ish) book.
I am looking for a vampire movie or TV series set in modern times (2000-2010) with a scene where two female vampires from one clan deceive and capture two male vampires from an enemy clan. The males are restrained in a dark setting, like a warehouse or basement, and as the women feed on them, the men protest, realizing they were tricked. I remember that scene. XD
I’ve been in the mood to watch some vampire shows lately and was wondering what y’all thought was the best. I’ve already watched Being Human, True blood, and part of vampire diaries. Thanks for your help in advance!!!
So I'm writing an essay for a class I'm taking on vampires and one of the points I made is that both the vampire's creation and destruction come from the church. Thing is I need a quote from a piece of vampire fiction to back this up. Everybody knows the holy things kill them but are there any examples in fiction of someone becoming a vampire because they were cursed by god or the church, excommunicated, or all around sinful? It can be from anything, a poem or a short story. Please help me out.
I may have asked this already but
What's your favourite origin for vampires? Could be off a show, movie, comic, whatever. Could be your own idea.
I love historical lore behind things like this.
