Hey everyone,
My name is Kate Clark and I’m part of a team of researchers from the University of Sydney. We are researching accessibility barriers that are created by virtual reality and augmented reality technology. The goal of our research is to figure out how we can make VR and AR hardware more accessible (the ethics approval for our research is 2023/352 and we also have linktree – linktr.ee/vrdisability).
We are looking for people with disabilities who have tried AR and/or VR before to complete our survey and tell us about their experiences.
The survey should take no longer than twenty minutes to complete, and if you don’t want to or can’t answer a question, all the questions are skippable. You can find the survey link here: https://sydney.au1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2nl7O5LKer2R3ro
If you want to find out more about us, my colleagues are Associate Professor Marcus Carter, Dr. Ben Egliston, and Professor Gerard Goggin, and you can email me at kate.clark@sydney.edu.au or DM me here 😊

Hello. So, I've been thinking. What if there was a ve game where you can input your loved ones' likeness, voice, mannerisms, etc and you can talk to them/interact with them and tell them everything that you maybe wanted to tell them while they were alive but couldn't? I think, therapeutic-wise, that would be a tremendous help in healing. I know, sounds like Black Mirror, but I'm serious. It has potential.
Does anyone know of one? Want to build a react app with VR capability but VR 360 seems to be recently archived
The XRAccessibility Project is an initiative to provide a central place for developers to find solutions for creating accessible code across various XR platforms. Our goal is to make XR accessible, and to create a platform for developers to share code, ideas, and collaborate. XR Association and XR Access are inspired by developers and other key players and aspire to make XR technology accessible to everyone. The GitHub link can be found here.
I am starting a project on using neuroscience and ML to build a cyber sickness prediction tool, but need feedback as to what interest it would raise among developers! Please fill out this form if you're a developer or even VR user <3
Would you be interested in a cyber sickness prediction software for XR content which returns a score of susceptibility to cyber sickness + how to fix/improve your XR content or experience?
I am looking for plugin that can show webpage in my personal project. I am making a Quest 2 apps using Unity. I have tried dozens of Github repo but nothing's worked. I also purchased some assets from Unity asset store, with price ranging from $5 to $75, unfortunately none of them work.
While I really need this plugin, I don't have any money left. I just found another asset that is claimed to work in Quest 2, but the price is $250.
I would be glad if someone here can help. Thank you.

Hi,
I'm making my first steps with VRTK 4 in Unity. After the import axes should be integrated in the input manager but no matter which Unity version I use (2019.4.23f1, 2019.4.10f1, 2019.4.1f1, 2018.3.14f1), I never get them. I hope someone can help.
Thanks in advance, have a nice day!

Hi everyone, my name is Titouan and as part of my academic research, i am looking for people who have taken part in VR musical experiences (VR concerts & festivals, VR composition, video games, etc.) I’m a student in Cultural Industries and digital mediation at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University (Paris, France). If you could give me a few minutes of your time by answering these few questions about music and VR, I’d sincerely appreciate it. Thanks a lot and all the best to everybody in those strange times !

What kind of changes would VR technology cause in the human mind? I mean since we see the progression of this tech, what do y’all think about what would happen with the human cognition by using VR tech overtime?
I was thinking like it helps us practice mindfulness and VR acts as a tool to override pain receptors... I wanna explore more on ideas like this.
If y’all have any ideas, feel free to comment. Thank you so much.😊
I just took a survey about VR in the workplace. It took about 15 minutes and they gave me a $70 Amazon gift card.
I get $20 for each person I refer, so I figured I'd share it with the community.
Here's a link if you are interested. It's pretty painless:
