Hey everyone,
I'm new to VRChat and honestly I never really got it.
Until I found myself absolutely addicted to the rave scene.
Not in any bad way. I've just decided it's my favorite form of cardio and meet some nice people too. I've been a bit isolated lately and it scratches an itch I've had for some time. I actually wish I had it when I was younger and maybe get myself into less trouble.
After finding vrc.tl here, I joined Gearfest and I was absolutely hooked.
I also love that there's one at almost any time of day. I am available at weird times.
But I'm ready for more. Are there discords or other communities?
Thanks!
Look up nova gang. It's a PC skin.
Name drop your favorites, pretty please.
Earlier today I was playing Vrc with a buddy of mine and we came across 2 ppl having a whole mmo pvp styled battle They had health bars and everything and I found it really cool but they were lowkey just gatekeeping and I want to battle my homies in VR. Does anyone have an idea what avatars they might’ve been using and where to find them?
While I absolutely LOVE the fact that accounts can now be 18+ verified. Which allows for 18+ instances and "should" put a stop to being asked my age constantly in lobbies. I feel like a ton of people don't realize it's a thing or are too lazy to check your profile.
Also last night I went to an instance ones by a group named "Adult Den". Only thing was everyone there was kids. Maybe 2 other adults were there. Hell the instance (and group owner) wasn't even a verified 18 account.
They also had no idea it was a thing. I know you need to verify on a PC (I think mobile is an option idk) but it seems Quest users are the ones not that familiar with it
This is a bit of a rant so the title serves as a too long didn't read. Also marked NSFW for the terms of LEGAL drug use
So I been friends with someone for about 15 years and he been sorta of an a hole to everyone he meets. And he thinks his recreational greenstuff use is cool. But then when he is all spaced out and practically nonverbal and afk he gets upset for abandoning him to do tasks in among us lobby. The frustrating part is he would flip the script and paint me as the bad guy and say I am the one to blame for his boredom on vr and just overall lash out about arguments we had 3 years ago. And then we took a break.
I then said screw it and did my first solo session without him and it was amazing. I met a few people in an among us lobby and they actually friended me and one said that they are friending me because they thought I was a chill guy. After about 10 sessions later and gaining 50 friends that I now regularly play with and I realized that I wasn't the problem. I cut the dead weight out of my friend group and couldn't feel any better. I just wish I realized it sooner. Thank you VR chat for opening my eyes on how toxic, useless that ex friend was.
I’m kinda desperate at this point to find a way i can hang out with my vr community and not destroy my laptop Edit: to clarify i’m using with virtual desktop and my laptop here https://a.co/d/j3S5nFr
https://a.co/d/5lj6GU0 - this is my laptop i’m using with virtual desktop. When i go to meetups with my discord community my laptop memory usage goes up to like 95 percent and things shake in vr and sometimes vrchat crashes or i get disconnected another way. This seems to happen when people are bunched together like in audience anarchy the most. I’m willing to buy stuff if that’ll help
2 goobers
So I got verified a couple days ago (woo!), and sorry if this has already been covered somewhere but I couldn't find it; where are all the age verified instances? Are there groups that only allow age verified members yet? Bonus points if you can point me to age verified music venues.
Thanks for reading.
Like the title says
Im making a racing world and would like to implement a ghost replay system to give the map single player value. I would also love to give perstiance for PR's and their ghost replays. Is there any systems already existing that can do this? or am in the dark here?
Just watched a video of a guy trolling on both VRC and Metaverse VR.
I've never used Metaverse VR, but I have used VRC. I love the creativity that VRC has, but I noticed something in the video that sets Metaverse apart from VRC in a positive way I did expect.
From what I saw in the video, it's community is way more mature. Aside from the guy trolling, if you pay attention to the background stuff, their discussions are more mature. No screaming, no exaggerated dramatics. The people are clearly able to separate VR from reality, which I've noticed a lot of VRC players struggle to do. The lack of screaming kids makes it seem more pleasant and appealing.
The difference in the two games in the video alone is profound, but honestly for that specific video, VRC was already being shown better than it usually is. When I play the game, it's full of screeching kids, people saying slurs, generally being rude, and immature. Even when I'm not playing minigames (which obviously will attract children) and I'm in the company of adults on VRC, the conversations are immature. I'm not talking in terms of interest, I'm talking in terms of lackluster drama. E-Dating that starts and ends in a week, people taking the game too seriously, people that do nothing but play VR (lets be honest, we all know or have come across players that can't put the game down).
I don't know if I'm wording this well enough, or if I've just found too many bad crowds in VRC, but I wish this game's community was more chill and mature and down to earth like it seems to be in the Metaverse VR game, because like I said, I love the customizable aspect and creativity of VRC, but whereas the people I saw in the Metaverse part of the video felt like real people, a lot of people on VRC often feel like a person that's playing a character. That character, more often than not, is one of immaturity and is out of touch with reality.
Some of the avatars in avatar worlds display with a red x and show that they are only for pc, but I am on pc.
Been playing vrchat for a little while, about 2 years ago my setup was a i5 3k and a gtx 970 with a quest 2 and obviously it was as bad as it sounds. So I sold my quest 2 and last year i got new pc with a 4060 and a ryzen 5 5600G also upgraded to a ssd and way more ram (ddr4). Now with this new setup and a recently purchased quest 3 i still only get incredibly low frames on medium setup (80 fps in optimized box) and 30-50 in other worlds. Im also frequently freezing and crashing. I am not seeing a huge difference in vr and my partners 3060 ryzen 7 3600 is having zero issues and better fps. Anyone have any suggestions on what the problem is?
Heya everyone I've been working on this project for the past couple months but I need people for filming.
[The Story] The story is about a man who tragically lost his father in a home invasion while he was helplessly hiding in a closet, One year later he is trained by someone who knew his father and this someone gives him a choice to either to go through life without knowing a thing about his father or to get answers out of the people who was involved in the killings, which is where the story takes place as he tries to uncover of why did his father have to die that day and who he really was.
