A short song with a simple structure, in which I mainly use cizzle for all the melodies again 🫣
hello
i have been using cardinal for a long while but recently downloaded VCV rack to check it out. i like it lots and i would like to start recording some stuff out of it.
to make the recordings sound better and easier to make, i was wondering if there was a button or switch of some sort that i can hook up to a clock so that it will wait until the next clock signal before it goes through with the output, if that makes sense? so that i can press a button whenever, but it won’t actually do anything until the clock gives a signal, to keep everything in time?
this could be a super basic thing and apologies if that’s the case, i’m self taught with this stuff
thankyou!
Trying to follow Omri Cohen's Vcv DFAM tutorial. His version lets him switch from audio to cv in the sub menu and has a volume pot.
But the version on vcv doesn't seem to have this. I just downloaded what I thought was the correct version.
Any advice?
I am trying out Cardinal with Ableton. Everything is great. Except one thing: when I use my laptop's trackpad to scroll around a patch, Cardinal scrolls way too fast and travels too far with even the smallest touch to the trackpad. This would only be useful for extremely large patches. Regular Vcv Rack 2 doesn't behave like this. I don't see a setting to change this fast movement scrolling around a patch. Does anyone know what to do about this?
Hello, im trying to do an art project from taking the color of the pixel from a video to make it into a sound. Im wondering if there’s any chance to do it so with vcv rack, be cause im more familiar with it then coding it myself (I’ve tried on puredata but it was such a mess). Ive seen someone do similar stuff with like touchdesigner (color tracker) idk if i can do it with my pre-recorded video.
Hiya! I’ve got an assignment for my degree where I need to use VCV rack on reaper. I want to create a basic string sound on midi but am really struggling to do so. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks!
Header menu not appearing at fresh install, is it broken or is there a shortcut for it?
I've been having a lot of fun with vcv rack these days :)
After having it for a few days and religiously watching Omri Cohen videos in bed for the past week, I finally finished work for the week and made my first patch 😂 very simple, and I could’ve probably made something (with less automation) in half the time in ableton…but i was buzzing nonetheless!
That said, I’m sequencing the VCO with mono sequencer in ableton (+909 hat and clap). I’d have liked to have done all the drums in VCV but couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to clock/sync drum sequencer to the main clock (the other drums I added in VCV were done simply by sending different clock divisions to the kick/snare modules which was easy enough, but I didn’t know how I’d send triggers on the “2”, hence me trying to use the drum sequencer instead. 🤦🏻♂️)
So any help in that regard is welcome.
I think once I figure out the basics with getting things talking to each other when it comes to gates/triggers/clocks etc I’ll be flying, so right now I’m just trying to piece together a default template with the mixer/send effects, clock etc then I’ll figure out which other modules I like and learn them well
