Has anyone ever gone camping at Bakers Run in Sutton, West Virginia? If do, what is there to do? I've had a hard time finding trail maps or any activities there.
Does anyone have any recommendations on places to camp in Virginia? Shenandoah area maybe? It would be tent camping but fine with drive in or hike in. If hike in, prefer to not have a long hike. Thank you in advance.
Spring will offiically come on Sunday. <insert Virginia weather jokes here>
Time to dust off the gear and make plans (if you haven't already). Reminder to check your equipment before you go: tires, batteries, water systems, propane, etc.
Do you guys already have the season planned for? Or taking it a weekend at a time?
I'm looking to do a weekend car camping trip in the next month or two. We usually go to the GW NF, but I've never been in winter.
Should I expect to find snow on the ground? And any idea how bad the roads will be up there?
I'm thinking of going to Wolf Gap or a place like that. TIA
What's your go to for winter camping?
