Welding and arms are hobbies. I have seen posts of kits with demilled parts and was thinking about building from parts or a kit. Do I need to fill out a form 1 and get it approved as I’m building 1) before I start collecting parts?, 2) just before the build is finished? 3) after build finished ? 4) not at all? If it stays non-functional (no bolt/firing pin) do I need a form 1 at all? Thx
Who is your favorite Uzi parts marketplace? Classifieds, not parts dealer. The Uzitalk link is dead, and I haven't seen any other halfway decent community trading section.
Hello I bought a firecap Uzi from the 80s so its not an original Uzi but it looks pretty original and is made out of metal and even takes Uzi mags and shoots firecap ammo so it looks pretty realistic and ejects the casings. It came with a wooden stock and the previous owner said he lost the folding stock. So I ordered a folding stock from an original Uzi but I dont understand how I can install it.. I removed that nut or how its called from the screw and I thought I gotta put the screw with the stock through the back hole of the Uzi and then put the nut in from inside where the bolt is actually sits but it is impossible to put the nut on the screw from inside.. my hand cant reach it and also it just feels wrong.. there must be another way can someone please explain me how to put the folding stock on..
I was looking around gunbroker and thought this foregrip was awesome, but I couldn't find anything on it. Does anyone know what kind of handguard / foregrip combo this has and where I could find it? Thanks!
Now that BWE isn't around, is there anyone still making these or doing this kind of conversion work? The best I can find are topcovers with a pic rail installed but I'd rather have a lower profile optic.
Does any have a lead on a 9mm flat or repair section? Or have one they would like to part with?
I just received this kit on a trade and am wondering if someone can give me some insight on it. The receiver is 45 but the rest looks to be 9mm. Could this work as a whole or would I be building two different ones? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I've seen a number of conflicting opinions about the best paint for an original looking Uzi finish. My preference would be a rattlecan, but please let me know what you have had success with.
Firstly, does anyone know if Frontline holsters will fit a full size uzi? Or does anyone have any experience with them?
Second, does anyone know if high heat Rust-Oleum spray paint will work to finish a receiver? I just want something over the raw steel and have a can already. I don't care if it's perfect or scratches up and all I'm coating is the actual new receiver, everything else will be factory coated.
Third, does anyone know where I can find quick detach swivels I saw from a year old post? Do they still make them or are they custom done? The post came up with a google search and was made by someone called like mini14 or something in this sub.
Any information is helpful and appreciated! Thank you guys for all the answers so far!!
McKay offers both parts. I have a demilled Uzi parts kit but cannot figure out what semi auto bolt I need. I have the firing pin extractor and spring but cannot figure out what the L shaped piece is in the second photo. Any help or guidance is appreciated.
Accidentally found one of these in my collection during a move. What are these worth? The leather is in good condition and the snaps work good.
Just a curiosity, has anyone seen/done an SMG Uzi w a 16in barrel? I wonder if it would be more accurate? Just a late night musing.
Would opening the holes on a semi receiver be legal and functional. I trust myself more to open then to shave down. If not legal or would not function, what size do the ears on the sear need to be. I have access to a caliper and if I'm shaving down I would prefer an approximate size to work with. Thank you for all the help I've been getting!!!!!
Are there any changes needed aside from a bar blocking it from going into auto? Do any parts need to be resized and if so how? I am a first time builder so any advice is appreciated 👍
(I meant smg lower not smg power)
Ordering a mckay receiver and bolt soon, should I just get a barrel from them as well or is there a better deal or quality one out there?
