Saw this driving today and had to snap one.
When Carvel says that Roma are the people that Janus will leave fertile (s2e5), does he mean that ONLY Roma people will be unaffected or that Roma people AND the 3-5% of the population will be unaffected?
I’m confused since either case would make sense why they freak out later when they realise that the vaccine only works on Roma people:
If Roma people are the only ones that are unaffected, they would freak out since the population would crash way faster than normal.
Alternatively, if there are 3-5% also unaffected, they are obviously scared because the population would drop way more than they would have expected.
Which one is it?
Obviously climate change, pollution, and limited resources are much more complicated then a question of population control.
It's been common knowledge since the last few decades that the world population is stabilizing, and it will stabilize further as poverty in the third world decreases and fertility rates go down with it.
And what about the question of people weaponizing the "flu" repeatedly after The Network achieves it's goals and...disbands??
I feel like these things never being addressed led me to never taking the antagonists in this series seriously. I enjoyed the visuals and the music, but had a hard time believing that the "villains" believed what they were saying.
For this reason I was kinda waiting for a big reveal behind the true motivations of The Network which never came. Anyone else feel the same?

I a new fan of utopia. After watching this show I will stay waiting for season 3.
Interesting if there are anybody here who have hopes for season 3?
I know it's probably unlikely to happen, especially after a bad US remake, but after all Twin Peaks 3 came out after 25 years. Is there any hope for this show?
Saw this when I was trying to rewatch utopia again
Saw the first bit of the Pyro video, thought it looked like a good watch, look up where to watch it, can’t be bothered forking up a small fortune to watch it rented, Amazon says it has it but when it try to watch it it says it’s unavailable. Where are all of you watching it ?

Hi, I've been looking into some cool Utopia promotional stuff and found out about 'Utopia: The Lost Game' from back when s2 came out. I was wondering if anyone happened to have archived the video's from the blog posts? They don't seem to work on the Wayback Machine (for me, at least).
I know it's incredibly unlikely, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

Would the situation change if utopia was filmed nowadays? Personally i think yes, but I'm still interested how they managed to pull it off and what are people opinions.
Just something with a vaguely similar vibe, british, featuring some serious stuff.
Funny how I recognized him from his voice and accent combo rather than his appearance
In many scenes we see mentions about fish dying out, amounts of carbon each human generates, amounts of land being unusable for farming etc etc. Are these based on real facts. Did someone already verify and compile a list. Would be interested in learning more. Thanks
I absolutely love the US version, I'm watching it again but I. Wanting to watch the UK series I have seen the first episode seems a little different but has anyone seen both, how different is the UK version? I really don't like they cancelled the US but timing was pretty bad since covid just hit hard too lol.
