As the title says. Clipper cuts, super short but with some style, not just a man's cut but on my head. Any recommendations?
Stopping in Utica this evening and looking for the best half moons — Unfortunately driving through at around 6pm, after Hemstroughts closes. Any other recommendations? Or places where I can buy hemstroughts?

Hello everyone!
I know this is a general place for all things Utica, so I figured I'd make a post in here because I couldn't find anything D&D specific for Utica.
I'm starting a new campaign in which all the players playing will be gods at the beginning of creation.
I'm looking for just a few people to play, if you haven't been a DM before, do not reply to this comment. I'm looking for storytellers who aren't selfish problem players who meta-game or cause inter-player conflicts at the table. Just looking for a few people who want to get in on creating a universe with me for all of my future campaigns!
Hello, I'm doing a diet for a month, trying to challenge myself to eat vegetarian & low carb. Please, no preaching to me about this or that, I think this will be a good challenge for me to learn good resources for a lifetime. Where would you go in Utica for healthy eats? So far, I've thought maybe Bowl Boss, Bennu, Panera, Tropical Smoothie, Pho Mekong. Help please!
Added: Zeina's and Lafa and The Phoenician and Symeon's and Grapevine, Peter's Cornucopia, Taj Mahal and Minar, Blaze Keto pizza, Core Life, Mr. Kimchi, Moe's and Chipotle, Tramontane Cafe, Nanabi, Taichi, Sunny, and Muju
Thanks everyone 💜
The Tram is looking for someone looking for a job. I'll need you to complete an outdated application that I send you via email, you must print & physically return. If you do not have a printer, the local public library can help you. Edit: For those who are questioning our world... yes, we are a pain the arse AND we do have some fun too. I try only to sugar coat the cakes :)

Seems they didn't like the last video and got it taken down, so here's a new edit.

Stay classy, Utica.
I collect old postcards, advertisements, and other ephemera from Upstate NY. When I came across this advertisement at an antique store last month, I had to pick it up.
Senatro Paladino was an importer/grocer operating from 439 Bleecker Street at 2nd. This advertisement for their olive oil is incredible. The illustrations and the claims of purity and health that could come from consuming the product, I love the thought that went into making this little pamphlet.
I’d love to hop in a Time Machine and get a couple glugs of that sweet olive oil.
There is a small park next to an apartment building at this location now.
I grew up in the area but have been living in Queens for many years. I will be moving back in 2025 and want to get excited for the move. What are the places or things you love about Utica? What sort of things are there to do and where do you generally find out about them?
I’m not sure where to look for someone that could clean the inside of a car like new, almost like it’s from the dealer. Anyone have any suggestions to where to go that does this?
Hey, Given we have a population of folks from Mya mar. What's the best market to get supplies for making Burmese food like tea leaf salad? I'd love a local source of fermented tea leaf dressing and all those delightful little fried bits that goes in it.
My little sister wants to take a job at Carmella's Cafe. Anybody know if it's a good place to work at? She's had three offers. Symeons, Babes or Carmella's. Anyone have any insight what has a better working environment for a young kid starting out?
Hay rides, corn mazes, anything else Halloween fun around here?
I have been looking up the mba program with health care administration. How is it overall? How are the job prospects?
Hi all! I am looking for recommendations of any and all small businesses run by locals. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner spots, dry cleaners, markets, sports stores, tattoos, antiques, furniture, art, home goods, really anything. My husband and I are moving to the area, maybe not Utica proper, but my husband will be working in the area and we are already spending quite a bit of time there. I prefer to support the local and am just looking for where to go. Thank you!
So I was wondering if any local shops carry items like resistors, soldering supplies etc. Or am I doomed to order everything online? I have Google searched but was unable to find anything. Any help or advice is most appreciated!
EDIT 2: If you're from Rome, N.Y., would love to hear from you too! I've posted in r/romeny as well but figured a lot of people will come straight to the Utica subreddit.
Hey Redditors,
I'm a reporter working with New York Focus and ProPublica on an investigation into hotels and motels being used by New York to house homeless people, especially outside NYC. I'm posting this because I want to make sure we hear from everyone with a stake in this issue. If there's something you've noticed about how the unhoused population is being treated, especially in the hotels and motels, we want to know.
We have the time and resources to report this deeply. We've been working on this for around nine months now, and from what we've gathered, people are being placed in the hotels by social services without a clear path to permanent housing, and without the assistance they need to get there.
That said, getting folks to talk about this is very challenging. They move between placements often. Some risk retaliation, and many frankly have better things to do than talk to a reporter. However, many were willing to share their stories and help elucidate a major, largely hidden issue facing the state.
That's where y'all come in. If you have experience, direct or indirect, with the DSS hotel/motel system, I'd love to hear about it, especially if you know people placed in one of the rooms. We're also interested in hearing from case workers, nonprofit operators, hotel employees and others. These perspectives will all help us understand the situation and report on it accurately. We'd like to see any paperwork and documents you can share with us that help us understand how things shake out: case files, photo and video of the motels, emails and texts with government employees and motel staff, and more. While our ultimate goal is to quote people in a story, I'm happy to have early conversations about how I work and what my goals are, and I take privacy very seriously.
We posted this same callout for Binghamton and had tremendous success reaching people. It got us on some important leads that we reported out last week and helped us understand what the issue looks like locally.
If you're interested in speaking, please reach out here or at the email or phone number below. It may take me a while to go through everything, but I promise I'll read every response we get and be in touch if we think it will help pull this story together.
We really appreciate your time and willingness to share with us. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Best,
Spencer Norris

Are there any recreational field hockey teams/leagues for adults in the area?
