I need some wings for the super bowl dawg
Looking for a trustworthy dog daycare a couple days a week for our 5 month old puppy.
Hi! Anyone looking to go to Hunter or Windham in the coming weekends? I snowboard and none of my friends here really go up..would love to find some people around my level. I generally enjoy the blues and stay away from moguls if I can š Been trying to work on jumps here and there
Silver Moon Bakery is my go-to, but as it's likely closing in the near future, are there any recommendations?
Has anyone rented an apartment in The Sagamore (89th and Amsterdam), or know anyone who has? Any thoughts on the building, or how itās run?
Why arenāt there any proper Irish bars with Shepherds Pie in the 80ās or 90ās?
While not the cleanest or fanciest gym in the area the closure of this location is a huge inconvenience.
I enjoy deep tissue massages but I don't love paying $3 per min after tip and tax so I get them infrequently. The place I go to near me also tends to end sessions a few minutes early. I've read a lot of good reviews about melt feathers but wanted to see if the therapists there are actually licensed? Just wanted to temper my expectations. Thanks!
Someone must have the inside scoop. Or maybe there is a sign outside with opening date. Talking about next to Wholefoods ofc.
Just saw an older woman with red hair intentionally walk into younger women, shove them, then scream, corner them, and threaten to sue for assault. I checked on one of the women afterward, and she was visibly shaken. Not sure what's going on in our neighborhood lately, but stay safe.
Is another cannabis spot really necessary? Times have truly changed on the upper west side. Lets see how long it lasts.
Hi All, what are the chances of being accepted into PS 9 or PS 199 if we are not in their zone? We live in UWS but are out of the zones
I'm confused. Maybe our Jewish friends can help. Dagon was the mutilated god that fell on his face before the ark of the Lord (1 Samuel 5:1-5). It was the god of the Philistines, Israel's archenemy. Dagon was a false god for Israel, which is why I don't understand why a restaurant would be named after it. Especially, in a neighborhood with many Jewish residents. Can anyone offer an explanation?
The old lady in my building feeds the pigeons - huge problem, mgmt have gotten involved and now she walks down the block to feed them. But they are EVERYWHERE because of her. Constant barrage of pigeon crap on our steps, AC unit, window sill. Our dog always tries to eat it. Truly nasty.
What can I (legally, preferably humanely) do to spook them away? We have the classic "anti-pigeon spikes" out on our window sills, but can't realistically cover every part of the building, so they just roost higher up. Creative ideas appreciated.
Anywhere besides Dunkin' and Starbucks that is. I tried the frozen coffee at Dunkin' and it always tastes so weird.
Hi! 30F moving to NYC with husband + 2 toddlers in March / April, and looking for a place on the UWS. Ideally 2/3 bed on the newer side with amenities (e.g. childrenās playroom).
Has anyone know of or had experiences at the Aldyn, One Riverside Park, or Waterline Square? Any other recommendations or things to look out for?
Thanks in advance!
I 25M am wondering where to go to meet people, ideally around my age? I know this is NYC and there is a bunch to do, but I do not know where to start looking. Are bars places to make friends? Should I start conversation with strangers when I walk in the park? I have pretty much always been "in my shell" and would like to put myself out there. Even in school I struggled to make friends.
Iāve been in a depressive funk for the last 26-ish years, so Iām trying to get out and actually experience life more. The issue is I have no idea what people do for fun other than eating, drinking, or dancing. There has to be more to it than that. What else do you guys do for fun in UWS? Or the city in general?
I know this is a bit vague, but thatās because Iām open to pretty much anything.
Hi Iām Kay! I have 5 years experience with walking dogs/ house sitting/ and taking care of plenty of different animals (cats, fish, rodents and reptiles). If you need any help feel free to contact me!

There are no rules on the subreddit, so you can't report any rule being broken. There used to be a custom response button so you could say "This isn't about the upper west side" or whatever. Now there's nothing. Mods?
I have wavy asian hair (mid part) and looking for barber recommendations.
Thank you!
I think I could do better than my regular corner bodega. Maybe around Columbia area??
