The Untappd app has changed recently, where it's jumped onto the annoying bandwagon of every website you come across these days, in that about every time I go in there, I get a pop up asking me about some nonsense, which is effectively just an internal ad. It's bad enough that every place I visit on the web does this, but now every time I go into this app, I have to see this nonsense there too?

Hello, it was my birthday on Monday and I noticed that even though I checked in about 4 beers, I didn't get the Birthday Brew badge! :-(

Has it been retired?

A few months back I submitted two bug reports to Untappd support regarding a bug when adding an address for a brewery in Hungary or Greece. Normally, the region field auto-populates with the correct region, but for these countries nothing auto-populates and the warning message "Location State field is required" appears. Manually adding in the region does not work and using a work-around like auto-populating with a different country first and replacing it is never approved.

The reason I'm posting here is because I recently got responses from support on both issues stating that they "will need more reports of this issue before we can effectively replicate and take action on it". So if anyone else can also replicate the error and send their experience to support that would be much appreciated. I'm hoping that with enough help, it will get this issue fixed soon.

The bug seems to affect every brewery in those countries, but you can use these Greek (Κοintoirioti 35, Heraklion, Crete, Greece) and Hungarian (Rákóczi Ferenc u. 2, Balatonföldvár, Somogy, Dunántúl, Hungary) as test examples.

Just went trough the badges and saw this. I don't use this list that much but I always add something there before holiday trips. I'm pretty sure I drank couple of beers from the list two weeks ago, but none of them are counted there.

Just realized that most of my friends who used to use app on regular basis, are mostly gone. Only beer geeks remains, normies are gone. It made me wonder how it is on bigger picture?

I'm quite curious why no one has started this. I'd so love to check in when I try different whiskeys and bourbons. I know there are apps for rating them but not anything like Untappd. Does anyone know if either Untappd or a different company is working on something similar?

I’m working with Untappd for Business and trying to figure out how to add Flight and crowler information at the bottom of my Menus, just the fact we have them and the price.

I just visited my 1000th brewery, cidery, or meadery (the venues that count towards the Find the Source badge) -- but since the badge maxes out at Level 100/500 venues, I made myself my own little badge for the accomplishment! 😎

I was told if I paid upfront I could do the badge immediately.. I don’t see the option anywhere. I think I’m just blind. I googled it but still can’t figure it out lol would anyone know how? Trying to get this done before Monday. Thank you

Most of the beers I checked in were my homebrews, but there's a few from other brewers, too. Now I just need to brew 100 more batches to max out the badge.

According to rule 9:

If the beer is a special version, such as Cask or Nitro - please note that in the comments - do not create a new beer. If you do, it will be merged.

However, Broken Dream by Siren and Broken Dream (Nitro) are seperate beers? Also, I am fairly certain that the original Broken Dream is now a nitro beer so should be merged regardless. This rule seems to not be followed and there are multiple other instances of beers not following this rule. If you just type in Nitro or Cask into the search on Untappd you'll find plenty.

I've already seen a topic about the user with the most distinct beers, and there were convincing answers. So I wonder if there is any person who has at least one beer per each style? Is it difficult to drink beers from all styles or it's not as a big deal as it seems like?

I apologize in advance if there is already a thread about the subject, but in the previous hour, it seems that the app is down : the loading took forever to appear and it's a struggle to make a full check-in with all the details.

Do anyone know of there is a way to check the status of untappd server and have an approximate idea when it will be corrected?

I have noted that the last update of the “Beverage Guidelines” took place in 2022, on June 29 of that year. You can find them here: https://help.untappd.com/hc/en-us/articles/360034018052-Beverage-Guidelines

Another important document that can help define and create allowed beverages is “Naming Standards”. This document is from December 2020 and can be found here: https://help.untappd.com/hc/en-us/articles/360034018212-Naming-Standards

It is often said here that the rules for allowed beverages and the creation of these beverages can be found in these documents. It is also said here that moderation works with these documents, when it comes to merging or deleting unauthorized beverages according to these two documents.

Given the many changes in Untappd since 2020 or 2022, these documents seem outdated in some respects.

Are the versions published on Untappd.com the most recent versions of these two documents?
If new versions are available, can someone please publish them?
