Which freshman tower is the best out of the four?? I need help deciding
Hi everyone,
I am looking for a document titled "Ten commandments of deep ocean engineering" personal communications of John P Craven, marine programs, university of Hawaii, Honolulu.
I have searched online with no avail. Any help would be deeply appreciated.
Thanks
I am a university of Hawaii at West Oahu student. But I am transferring to Uh Manoa next semester.
I can't for the life of me figure out affordable non-shitty places to live. Dorming sucks and will now be around $1,500/m (That's including the food plan and dormsl price). I'm not going to the Hale Mahana or Rise center because I've had really REALLY bad reviews about it. But everywhere around the area is so overpriced and shitty!
Going from Kapolei to Manoa everyday isn't the most convenient trip for a college student that also works.
Any help?
i am a prospective graduate student thinking about going to manoa, how is hale mahana?

I want to apply to Kapiʻolani Community College with a accounting - associate in science major and I wanna know is it hard? Will I suffer badly?
Visiting Honolulu over the weekend was looking for recommendations for relaxed bars that let fakes slide. Any recommendations?
Hello, I want to apply for Spring 2025 for a Masters International Cultural Studies. My GPA is 2.68/4.0 but the required is 3.0. I have considerable experience in Media and Journalism of over 3 years whilst still in my final semester currently. I’ve also been selected for an exchange program in the U.S. among only 4 people from my country. Do I stand a chance at admission?
I'm 17 and graduating this year from McKinley HS. No clue what to major in but want something that makes a decent bit of money. Anything helps cause I'm super lost at the moment.
I was interesting in looking at some research stuff on Springer Nature but when I try to login through the UH system, it doesn't give me access. Maybe because I am a CC student and not a proper Uni.
Hi! I am a second year at UC Berkeley and I am looking to sublet a single apartment or a room for the summer (end of may to mid august, flexible), does anyone have anything or recommendations? thanks! :)
I will be attending UHM next year as a grad student. I had my BA paid for by my employer so I’ve never taken out student loans. I will be earning a masters in communication and would like to stay on campus. Can anyone give me a run down on an estimate I’ll be taking out before aid? I plan to work part time to pay for food and my car. I’ve only ever worked full time and school part time so I’m lost on how I’ll survive.
I am hoping to go here for 4 years and would hope to major in marine biology. Is it a good program?
We are from University of California and we are gonna arrive at Honolulu tonight. We want to visit the school and also wondering if there are any parties? We are girls!!
I’ve been planning on going here for college and I have pretty bad arachnophobia, so I would really like to not see a cane spider. How common are they in dorms and houses?
i graduated from a CSU in california with a non-nursing degree and had a cumulative gpa of 3.2. i don’t know my science gpa yet but i’m currently taking ap2 and need to take micro still
I am currently at the Big West basketball tournament in Las Vegas and so impressed with your student section (and cheer/dance teams). Do all these students pay their own way? Does the university charter a plane? So curious!?!?
I just got accepted to UHM and wanted to see if anyone could tell me if they like the pre-med program there? I am planning on majoring in biology!
Very proud to share that I’ve been accepted to a PhD program at the University of Hawaii, but am very concerned about how I will survive while attending. (I have not officially accepted the offer yet, but am seriously considering it.)
I have been told I would get a stipend which would amount to around $1950/month, and when I discussed this with my academic advisor, she said that nearly all of that may go just to rent depending on where I choose to live. I knew living in Hawaii is expensive, but now I’m extremely terrified as a result of her statement.
I have a tuition waiver and the stipend money comes from a graduate assistantship I’ve been awarded.
Anyone have any advice or anything that can reassure me that it’s totally possible to live in Hawaii while going to school? Btw, I will be coming with my wife and 2yo daughter. I just received the acceptance letter so I haven’t looked into preschools and rentals just yet. Any help would be appreciated.
Are there any nursing schools in Hawaii? Ones that may have accelerated BSN programs without requiring an RN? I am graduating college this May with a Bachelor's in Biology but want to go into nursing out of the states... Any recommendations?
Anyone here go through the botany program here? I understand that this is a part of a newer school of life sciences. I’m currently 1 year into community college but was heading for a plant science degree. All opinions welcome, thanks ya’ll!
Hello, folks of Reddit!
I am currently deciding between the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa’s programme for Second Language Studies and Lancaster University’s programme for Applied Linguistics and TESOL in the UK. I have been accepted to both and am receiving scholarships, but I wanted to know what each university was like from a student’s perspective, if that’s okay.
I am interested in improving language education in the classroom, whether that be through research or curriculum design, but I was hoping to hear what the university/campus is like, how difficult the course load is, how many opportunities are offered to master’s students, if you are able to conduct research, how available/kind the instructors are, and just the basic vibe of the programme that can’t be gleaned from their respective websites. I have been in touch with both schools, and they seem absolutely wonderful, which is why I’m hoping y’all might have some insight! Thank you so much in advance!

Hello,
I am an RN considering going back to school to be an NP. I am curious how you have liked the program? What are the programs strengths and weaknesses? I have heard that not all NP programs are built the same and I would like to choose a good program.
Thank you!
I know someone who used to play basketball (and was set to go to college through basketball) but graduated in 2020 when Covid hit so it never happened... they're not attending any college atm just working part-time while playing basketball as a hobby.
If they had any, what are the chances of them being able to attend UHM through basketball?
(Forgot to mention they've played their entire life, been in many local teams and room full of trophies and medals)
How is the university determining who can get into Rise? Would it be difficult to get in as a freshman - anyone know?
My gpa is a 3.5 and SAT is 1130. Are my chances good to get in?
