I was wondering if anyone has any tips on how I can structure this, because I’m worried I’m using too much space on talking about the person and not their impact on me.

I’ll be attending Fayetteville campus in the fall as a graduate student and I’m curious on a few things:

1. Where would you suggest to rent a studio/1br apartment?

2. How necessary is a parking pass?

3. What are your thoughts on the campus fitness center?

How is the history department?

Are they competent? Would you recommend? Decent funding? Professors?

I’m considering bringing a Tesla (or another electric car) to campus while living in the dorms, and I’m trying to figure out if it’s a practical choice. I know there are a couple of EV chargers on campus (Garland Avenue and Harmon Parking Garages), but I’m wondering how manageable it is to rely on them.

Some questions for you all:

1. Are the charging stations usually busy? Do you have to wait often?
2. Is it easy to get by with the 3-hour charging limit during the day?
3. Have you had any issues with parking near the chargers or fees adding up?
4. Are there any off-campus charging options (like Tesla Superchargers) that you’d recommend using instead?
5. Overall, do you think owning an EV is worth it as a dorm resident, or is it more hassle than it’s worth?

Hello, does anyone know any clubs or registered student organizations still accepting students this spring 2025 semester? I’m looking for anything in the pre law or business sector.

How much is yalls 4 year tuition cost? I'm a soon to be UARK freshmen during the 2025 fall semester and going in-state. Google says the average in state cost was 9,748 USD in 2023-2024 but I just wanted to see how accurate this really is. Any help and tips are appreciated.

Can someone help me - my daughter received the Chancellor's Scholarship. As we understand it if she gets the Fellowship it will be more and will cancel the Chancellor's scholarship. Which is fine - but for the fellowship can we use it for anything.. tuition, room/board, food, travel abroad? Does one come with maintaining a higher GPA than the other? Thank you! I see what it says online for an out of state estimate but in your real world - what was your cost for your out of state plus room, dinning, books, fees etc? I know everyone's choices may be different, but I am trying to see if our estimates ring true. Thank you!

Feeling pretty compelled to apply for the EMBA program, curious about everyone's experience with the Walton School of Business

I passed a school bus with its stop arm out on a four lane road. The bus was in the lane closest to the sidewalk and so was I on the opposite side of the road. There was no median. I didn’t know I was supposed to stop on a four lane road so I didn’t. I now know that it was wrong and I feel very bad about it. I definitely won’t make that mistake again. Arkansas apparently has harsh fines and can even give jail time for this. I have no driving tickets except maybe a careless driving one from when I wrecked like 10 years ago. But the police officer had said that wouldn’t go on my record. I don’t recall the bus driver honking at me but I could have missed it. I believe the car behind me might have gone, too. I was not pulled over but I don’t know if the bus had cameras. Will I face jail time?! How long till I would receive a ticket in the mail? Does anyone know if Fayetteville buses have cameras on the outside?

I’ve been accepted to the UofA and plan on getting my bachelors in music education. If I do not pass my audition what will happen? I am intent on going into music education and don’t want to pursue something else.

Has anyone here studied abroad at Kansai Gaidai University in Japan? If so, how was your experience? Hi everyone! I’m an incoming student at the University of Arkansas, and I have a few questions about sorority rush. Both my parents and my aunt went to UARK, so I’m really excited to carry on the tradition!

First, is rush during the first semester, second semester, or both? I want to make sure I know what to expect and how to prepare.

Also, I’m hoping to keep my curly hair natural throughout the process. Do you see many Black girls wearing their natural hair during rush? I’d love to hear any advice or experiences about this!

Lastly, my mom is a little worried that the sororities here might not be very diverse. Does anyone have insight into how inclusive the Greek community is at UARK?

Trying to find a 2-4 bedroom for next fall and i looked at The Vineyards on Garland, but wondering if there are better options that are closer to campus so i don’t have to pay for parking.

I'm from Ohio and got the New Arkansan scholarship (80%). I recently submitted the scholarship application as well, but haven't heard back yet. I got a 30 ACT, 4.0 GPA, 9 AP classes, NHS, over 100 hours of diverse community service, band for 4 years with leadership, jazz and percussion ensemble 4 years, work in retail for 2 years. I think I did a pretty good job on the essays, but wondering how likely I will be able to get a scholarship as an Ohio student and how much it might be. Thank you all!

I was just rejected from the nrusing program and i dont know what to do. i want to be a nurse but because of how the application is changing this spring semester is my last chance to apply. i have a 3.61 and will have to take the teas for the application. I have a lease in fayetteville so trasnfering back to my home isnt even an option. I want to be a nurse so bad and my advisor suggests changing majors if i dont get in again but i have no interest in that at all. I just want to get in the program. Is there anything i can do? the Harding nursing school is just so expensive the loans would be insane. help!!!

As the title goes, I’m not sure where to find parties. I’m easy going and already get along with my professors and faculty. I can make my peers laugh a little in class but afterwards everyone just bolts.

I give everyone their space, but it’s kind of difficult to balance it since I got a got a few quiet classes. It’s not like they want to be there anyways.
