I applied the EA by Oct. 15 and paid successfully online. When I checked the bank account and found the application fee was refunded by Oct. 17th. Does this mean my application was invalid? If so, I also missed the regular application! Heart broken
I am looking to transfer into Advertising at UT austin next fall but am worried about the competiveness. It is hard to get transfer advice from the school so am not sure how competetive it truly is. I am in my second year of CC and have a 3.8 GPA, a marketing internship, in PTK honor society and American Advertising Federation and Film club at my CC (I dont have much participation in all clubs but am still an active member), have worked for my city for the past 3 years, 3 decent LOR and am developing a portfolio for film and graphic design. Do I have a good shot based on these factors or should I not count on it? Are there any classes I should sign up for next spring to improve my chances? Is there anything I should put in my portfolio to wow them? Decisions don't come out until June so I want an idea of my chances before I started looking for housing and what not. This is my dream so I will take any advice!
I am a student at Houston CC rn and majoring in EE. My current GPA is 3.871, I got all A but currently 1 B in cal 2. I am fresh immigrant, LGBT and currently work as a tutor of math at HCC, I was the leader of some groups in High school and a member of Phi Theta Kappa. I plan to work on grades for next spring semester for Fall 2025 admission. I know that Cockrell and ECE is extremely competitive, it's really scaring with the fact of not having a 4.0 GPA, but is there any chance for me based on my background and any recommendations?
Just got off the phone with the UT Admissions office, asking if they plan on doing any waves. Of course, they do gate-keep info but the lady told me major decisions and admissions decisions will be released January 15. If anyone has heard differently please share but just passing on info for anyone hopeful of a wave!
Have the honors applications - ex. to Canfield - always said "In-Review."
Idk why but I feel they said "Completed" before and now say in-review. Ik UT Honors doesn't even consider your applications unless you get in... so???
Anyone else???

Do I have to take Calculus I at my current university to be eligible to transfer to McCombs or can I just use credit from the CLEP exam?
Did anyone have access to the UT My CASH portal? Heard if you do you got in. Want to specifically see unranked kids to see if I am cooked or not
I recently submitted my Common Application for regular decision but didn’t include my resume. I’m wondering if I can still submit it through the portal once I receive access. I’ve only heard about people uploading resumes during the Early Action process, so I’m unsure if the process or deadlines differ for regular decision. Is it still possible for me to submit it?
Has anyone who applied to CS as first choice receive forty acres email ?

I should be able to electronically send the December 7th SAT Results and have them arrive by December 31st (since that is the deadline for all electronically submitted SAT scores) This isn’t an issue of me not having any scores sent in yet, as I already have 2 on the way. However, I’m wondering if my December results will still be considered if I send them in, as I don’t see how I could self report them (since the self-report deadline is on the 11th and I won’t know my scores until around the 20th). Is the self report portion necessary, or should I just not worry about it and pay to send them my December scores once I can?
So I’m applying for prepharmacy cns as my first choice, which I believe is just also another undeclared cns. And my second choice is just undeclared cns. The reason being, I’m not too sure of what I want to major in exactly. Would this make it more likely for me to get denied of cns and instead be put into COLA? If so, should I actually pick a specific CNS major then?

how good or bad are my chances? i submitted a letter of recommendation and resume too with my healthcare based achievements.
Is it a certain number per school. Also how does the application process work regarding the # of rounds and # of people that qualify per round.
Hi! I’m currently a CAP student who wants to major in Econ. They took Economics off the guaranteed major list for this upcoming year, so now I have to apply competitively. I’m taking calc one this semester, but I want to wait and take calc 2 at UT Austin if it won’t set me back. Will it negatively affect me in anyway to wait? Thanks!
