Hi guys. Doing a career change, I was deciding between UNSW and Macquarie for masters in planning. How is your experience?
I'm in lower campus in the business school
Have you ever wanted to have a painting of your partner, a family portrait, your dog or whatever your favorite photo is? I always loved the idea of painting but unfortunately I'm not the best at it. A few months ago though a friend and I came up with a cool idea, what if you could turn any photo you want into a paint by numbers. That way anyone can paint, anything they want.
We looked up custom paint by numbers and found a few Etsy stores selling them but they were way overpriced and most of them didn't even come with the canvas on a frame. So we looked around and talked to a bunch of suppliers, eventually we managed to produce custom paint by number kits cheaper then anywhere else and already framed (you can still order them without a frame but we found most people want them ready to go out of the box).
Long story short though we're trying to grow and get more people talking about us. So we decided it would be a good idea to reach out to some local subreddits and hopefully you'll enjoy them enough to share your experience :)
You can use the code "COSTPRICEREDDIT" to get our kits for cost price (our margins are pretty slim right now we want to be as affordable as possible). You can get up to 4 kits at that price so feel free to buy a few and plan a date night, family activity or just get your Christmas shopping done early.

Hi, just wondering if anyone has applied for these scholarships within the last 2 years since i don’t really have an example of the exact criteria for reference.
(context: i’m an international student, applying for direct entry with my SAT, IELTS, and GPA from high school, majoring in Design and Secondary Education)
Really appreciate any help from yall
I'm a first year student trying to apply for IPT into law, and I'm wondering if the specific program's popularity will affect me being able to transfer, or if it's just based off the spots available in LLB in general? Like, if applying to a less popular law program would increase my chances (though I don't know of any unpopular ones).
If it helps, my cumulative WAM is 81.
Finishing HSC and wondering which degree i should do if i don’t get straight into actuary. i.e economics and transfer. what should i do?
Hey,
Failed a course earlier this year in T1 as a conditional fail (not enough on the final per hurdle).
I didn’t raise a remark at the time but since I’m in the last few years of a long degree is it worth asking to let it slide?
If so who do I contact? I know it looks sleazy. That’s because it is. But yeah honestly if I can avoid retaking it by appealing to graduation dates etc I don’t see why not.
Thanks
Would someone be able to answer some graduation ticket questions for me, I know we get 3.
Hi, I'm a second year student studying Computer Science, and I kind of messed up. As I'm international, we're supposed to be taking a minimum of 8 subjects in a year (that is a term-wise course structure of 2, 3, 3), and I already started Term 3 (which is the first term of my educational year) with two subjects.
Thing is, I have secured an internship that will run during February to May approximately, for which I will have to work part time. Computer Science at UNSW does not have an internship as a core requirement for the degree, so I'm wondering if there is some way to make the internship part of my degree.
The phrasing of the question might be messed up but I hope my point comes across.
I'm a year 12 domestic student planning on going to UNSW. Is it alright if my only language is english or is it necessary to learn mandarin
I’m signed up for studying abroad for the summer term and term 1, is orientation for the summer term on January 9th mandatory? I’m just trying to figure out my flights into Sydney and want to see if I can arrive slightly later
When will Domestic course registration open for 2025 term 1? Please and thank you. 😊🤝
Does anyone have any insight into the INFS2822 exam ie structure, the type of questions they ask, and difficulty?
Hi everyone! If any of you have taken this course, would you recommend it? Also, is the 24-hour final exam difficult to pass? Please let me know. If you have suggestions for other marketing electives that are easier, I would really appreciate it, as I need to boost my scores. Thank you in advance!
Does anyone know anything about this course? is it worth doing?
Hi there,
Last week I made a post about suspecting 2 of my groupmates using chatgpt in a coding assignment. This is for ECON3203.
I spoke with my tutor about this issue and he suggested that we call a meeting and discuss this issue with them about the confusing coding and to use content from the tutorials and lectures.
We had the meeting last Thursday to discuss this.
We had another one today, and I check their code once again.
Let’s just say it’s STILL pretty garbage and looks like it was completely ChatGPT generated.
How can I tell you ask?
They use variables like “y_pred_value”. Looks lazy and ChatGPT generated.
Their code is nothing remotely like the stuff we learnt in the tutorials.
Right now I’m doing their sections by myself because I don’t trust them at all.
Telling them to do the work properly has gained nothing. I’m doing the work they should be doing because their shitty section affects my marks.
And I don’t want to call them out for using ChatGPT because they’re adults… I tried to help steer them in the right path but they didn't learn...
I'm going to discuss this with my tutor again this week and my lecturer this week.
Do you guys think I should let it go, do everything, even do their section, and submit the assignment on Sunday without saying anything?
Edit: I am going to show the code to my lecturer to confirm my suspicions.
Also it’s not just the variable names that raises suspicions, they did stuff like find RMSE and they used variables like R_Squared… we don’t even need some of this shit since the assignment wants us to find the MSE…
Is 80% for the MATH1081 final doable. I’m pretty confident with the topics, is the final hard compared to MATH1141 and MATH1241?
There's a real possibility I fail the 2521 exam Bec I don't understand shit, if you fail , then you have to retake the course right , so what happens to your wam
USYD washrooms are cooked during exam time
Basically what I’ve said in the title.
For my course, I’ve got to do any 5 electives offered by the Faculty of Science, 3 of which I have already completed.
I really just want to get the other 2 done, so I’ve been considering SCIF1004 and GENS1112 in the upcoming Summer term.
I was wondering whether anyone who has done 2 courses in the Summer term had any advice or thoughts on this (or if you have thoughts on this in general, I’d love to hear those).
In my mind, the benefit of doing this is that I’ll have more time during the upcoming year to focus on my other courses, so theoretically, I’ll have less on my mind.
On the other hand, the drawbacks are the fact that I may feel a bit burnt out for year, but I will still have a month between my final exam of this term and the start of the Summer term and 10 days between the end of the Summer term and the start of T1 2025.
I’m trying to get a sense of what the daily schedule in Honours is like. I’ll be doing my research in a hospital next year, so I know that my schedule will depend a lot on what my supervisor expects, but I’m wondering if it generally ends up feeling like a 9-5 job? Like at uni, we had lectures and then free periods between classes where we could study, grab lunch, etc. But for Honours, are we expected to work a solid 9-5 at our desks with only a lunch break in between? Curious to hear what your Honours year was like and how structured or flexible your days were!
Do i have to apply for honours directly after my complete for bachelors if i want to do one. Or can I graduate first get a job and see how thing work out then apply for honours 2-3 years later. Will it still count as 4 years degree. I am not referring to masters just 1 year of honours.
Hi guys! I did a bachelors degree in a very different field and worked about a year however I want to change careers to urban planning. Should I do a bachelors or masters in urban planning? A bachelors is 4 years, however a masters is 2 years and less in fees. I am inclined to do masters but since I come from an unrelated area, I’m worried I lack experience/knowledge for the masters. Appreciate any advice. Thanks!
So long story short my ex friend loaned me 14.30 (something he referred to as pocket change) to help get me off my feet and pay for someone to sit my final exam for me back in semester 1 so I could continue my degree without needing to retake.
Fast forward to now he picks on me relentlessly for utilising heelies to traverse campus faster, being a ‘brokie bitch’ and never being good enough to get an internship. This really breaks my heart and just yesterday I was threatened with litigation for a small loan and wants to take me to the small claims court.
He said I can have my loan wiped if I race around the campus ‘naruto style’ for a promotional video for the unsw car society. Should I take his offer or seek alternate means to wipe my debt before small claims court gets involved?
Does this college never open every time I call no one picks up talking about how their university is not working at the moment.
If someone can get me in a direct call with someone in admissions I will pay you $200 (USD not AUD)
I need to join the diploma course of first year undergraduate, if you can help please dm me.
EDIT: called UNSW, diploma is on hold for international students. Anything i can do?? Paying 1,200$ now
