I just switched major this year from Engineering (mechanical engineering) to Business (Information system)... I wanted to be prepared in case I wanted to go back to Engineering when I found information system wasn't for me. I was curious about Math 176, if I decided to swicth major back to engineering for next fall but I took Math 176 next spring, can I take Math 181 on next fall instead of needing to take Math 127 first?

Hi! I'm applying for the EECB as a MSc student. Ill be moving from Panama. My prospective advisor is confident with my profile that I can get a GA/TA. Can you survive with it at Reno? The dorms look affordable and the meal plans also look good, but I would like more insight from students. I don't look to live lavishly or something like that. I'm going with the mentality of studying and focusing on my thesis so I have no desire on getting a car, traveling much and the such.
I would really appreciate you'll comments!
My wolfcard won't scan into the front door of manzinita hall and it's getting annoying. It will scan into the food places and it will scan into my actual dorm room but not the front door. It has been doing this for like a month. Someone at the front desk tried like reactivating it and then sent an email to their manager but nothing has happened and it still doesn't work. I almost wanna go get a new one but it costs 25 dollars and knowing this university they are gonna make me buy it even though it's not my fault. What should I do?
Hello I found some sunglasses at Ansari Business in room 212 during a math course. If these happen to be yours they are now in the Joe at the help desk if you would like to pick those up.
So I don't know if this is a normal thing to happen but when I came back from thanksgiving break, some of my stuff ended up missing that I know I didn't take and touch. I'm just curious if anyone else went through the same thing?
I am trying to get accepted into unr but they told me to look at mynevada problem is the password doesn't work so i cant look at the to do list and am on the edge of my rope so any help would be appreciated
Hi, I am a graduating student at UNR and I completely forgot to get someone to take my lease over once I move out. Its in a 4x4 configuration, 3 male roommates, you have your own private space. Small cosmetic damage to the unit are the only problems. My lease’s rent includes a parking space, but you can get out of that if you don’t have a car. Rent is currently $769, electric is separate at around $25 a month, insurance is at $14. Parking is $130. Total is $950 per month. Please hit me up if you are interested or have any other questions, thanks!
I have 2 UNR graduation gowns.
Specification:
Graduation Gown 1: Size / Height: 5' to 5'4" Graduation Gown + Cap: $35 (suitable for both master's and bachelor's) Academic Hood (Orange Color): $25 (only for master's) Get everything at $50.
Graduation Gown 2: Size / Height: 5'9" to 5'11" Graduation Gown + Cap: $35 (suitable for both master's and bachelor's) Academic Hood (Orange Color): $25 (only for master's) Get everything at $50.
DM me if you want any.
I am currently an undergraduate student who will be getting my bachelor's degree from Sacramento State University in biochemistry. Unfortunately, my science GPA was quite low when I was taking classes at a local community college for transfer, like general chemistry and physics. When I transferred over to Sacramento State I ended up getting a mix of A's and B's in my courses, but my science GPA is not that well repaired. I would like to pursue a potential post bac at the University of Nevada Reno as I see the contingency is to get an overall 3.5 gpa to be able to be guaranteed admission to their respective medical school Is there anyone who has taken this particular post bac or has any advice regarding this. Thank you so much ^^
how do you get tickets to the unr vs unlv game as a unr student?
how is the education and how easy is to get internships in college? also how is it finding jobs after college? I am in state for unr and can go for almost free but other schools have higher ranked cs/engineer programs but I wouldn't be able to go free.
I’m looking for $70, but I’m very willing to negotiate! I can drop it off at your place if needed :)
I am trying to find information on this course as an elective, but nothing comes up. Does anyone have any information on the course?
Is the Living Learning Communities dorms worth it?
is there any way i can get a free student ticket or at least a discount for the unr vs unlv game this saturday?
I was originally planning to be a triple major (physics, Chemistry, and biology) and have two minors (math and public health) during college so that my chances of getting into medical school AND get accepted into the dual program to simultaneously recieve your PHd incressed. However, I want to finish college in 2 years.
I already know I'll have to overload on courses and give up my summers and winters. But the thing I'm really thinking about is that it's unrealistic for me to finish all my majors and minors in that little time.
I know I'll probably have to drop a few majors/minors if I want to be able to go through with my goal of graduating in 2 years, but I don't know which ones to drop because I don't want me dropping a specific major or minor to be what indirectly causes me to either not get accepted into UNRs med school or the dual program.
Could someone let me know what majors/minors would be the best option to keep or drop?
First time poster so not sure if this goes here but - Currently finishing my bachelor’s at UNR
I am considering applying for the online Cybersecurity master’s program but noticed that UNLV also has a program for it.
Does anyone know if there any significant differences between the two offerings?
Thanks in advance
Are there any good 24/7 gyms in Reno? I want to get back into working out, but the campus gym doesn’t open until 6 a.m., and I prefer to workout between 4 and 6 a.m. any suggestions would be appreciated.
The one with cap and the Boise state kicker
I tore my leather jacket a bit and I wanted to see if there’s any available before I spend $10 on a glue I’ll likely never use again.
I'm currently in my senior year of high school, and I've already applied and been accepted to UNR. I want to apply to the Honors College, but to do that, I have to accept my admission to UNR. The problem is that I'm also applying to a few other schools, including UCs, whose admission decisions are not released till March. If I want to apply to the Honors College early, then I have to withdraw my other applications; otherwise, I will have to wait all the way until March to submit my application to the Honors College.
Basically, when is the deadline for submitting my Honors College application, and is it better to apply sooner than later? If I apply sooner, do I get to know sooner or on one set date?
Thanks
Sooo I'm graduating this December. I am planning on finally using the college and career center for interview prep. That got me thinking though of different perks I might want to take advantage of before I can't anymore. Any ideas? I know I shouldn't expect much from UNR but I thought I might ask lol
I’m a competitive swimmer during the summer but unfortunately I am a man and cannot join the swim team. I still want to rep UNR at practice and meets is there any way or place I can buy a UNR swim cap?
Has anyone taken Math 126 plus the Math 26 co-course? Does taking Math 26 make it a lot easier to get through Math 126? I have never been very good at math, and I don't want to get in over my head. I figure by taking both of those courses, six hours of math a week should definitely help with getting through the class.
I applied on the 28th of October, it is now November 24th and in my Nevada it still says application is under review but also in my Nevada it let me apply for scholarships and it’s showing me all my credits that are transferring.
Am I just being impatient or did I get in?? I’m so ready to transfer it’s not even funny anymore.
I’m a junior doing a psychology BS, but I'm not sure how direct learning credits work. I saw that there are several options, but the one that catches my attention is geropsychology. I would like to know what it's about or how it works, and how I could get involved in that to get my credits. In general, I want to know how direct learning works? Also I’m not planning on going to graduate school, I’m going into the healthcare pathway.
They changed some requirements. I made a whole plan with Gina Sella over the summer for the remainder of my undergrad classes and now I think I have to scramble to add another upper division biology lab to a tightly packed schedule.
Do we have to keep up with all the changes they make to these course catalogs in order to graduate? At what point do we just get grandfathered in because the changes are too soon to our graduation?
Let me know if I'm freaking out over nothing. Planning classes always feels chaotic until someone's telling me what to do.
4 Bedroom House near Midtown/GSR - 2 rooms in basement available (December until July)
I'm a grad student (34M) at UNR. My partner(34F). I'm in the music ed department and my partner is in the education field. We are 420 and alcohol friendly. We were renting with a friend, but due to some life changing circumstances (job, not interpersonal issues or disagreements), our housemate will be moving to be with family, so we're looking for 1 or 2 people to split rent with us for the spring semester (or as early as December).
House has two levels. Ground Level: 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen. - TAKEN Basement: 2 carpeted bedrooms, carpeted living space, full bath, and laundry. - AVAILABLE
Shared front entrance, laundry, kitchen, garage, and large backyard. My partner, me, and our 2 cats will be upstairs only. (Take note for allergy purposes).
In total, rent is $2,600. So if one person takes the basement, rent is $865/ person. If two people want to live in the basement, rent would be $650/person. (plus utilities)
