Is it a good place to live, pros cons?
Also, is the area around this apartment safe? Are there sketchy areas near campus / other apartments
Anyone know of any hidden spots around campus that are rarely frequented by people?
I ended up missing early action because I wasn’t too sure about this school, but applied anyways to regular decision. Has anyone who applied to regular decision here back from them or possibly know when they should be sending an email out? Also if anyone has any random info about the pre nursing acceptance there I would love to hear it! Ty!!
I applied for UNCW with Early Action back in August. I have seen that some people get a decision as early as mid-December. For people who applied during Early Action, when did you get a decision? Thanks in advance!!
I am looking for good fried seafood in Wilmington. Nothing too fancy. Just good fresh fried seafood platters. Any suggestions?
essay and letter of rec are good (i think) and i tried to subtly glaze the school in the supplemental
Sus
I know I do
I’m in loggerhead hall and my room’s power is out. I sent a message to my ra’s groupme and someone said its the whole building. I saw another person claim it was campus wide but I feel like thats a stretch. Are y’all powerless?
Is anyone starting a uncw disc golf club since the new course has been opened?
Hey, my daughter is really stressed about being accepted. She’s only a junior in highschool with a 4.2 weighted gpa. She’s worried since she’s not doing the best in her classes. If she drops to a 3.8, could she still be accepted ?
Heyo, so im trying to start a club for pro wrestling fans (WWE, AEW, etc etc. Felt the need to clarify that) and I don't seem to know any wrestling fans in my classes. I currently have one person interested but I'm trying to see if I can get others interested so I can get it started up. If you or anyone you know are interested in being apart of it please comment down below or share it around.
hi everyone. the title kind of speaks for itself i suppose. this fall semester has been my first semester in college (i graduated high school back in june) and i decided to try and get my AS degree at coastal carolina community college while continuing to work as i really want to transfer to UNCW to get a marine biology degree.
my only issue right now is that im worried im going to fail a class. A 60 and below is considered a failing grade at coastal, and right now my math grade is sitting at a 73. ive been having a really hard time because of my learning disability (i was diagnosed with visual spacial deficiency in 5th grade, so math has always been very challenging for me), and also because each unit test is weighed as 60% in the class. that has really been the thing that’s killing me.
i have been using all of the on campus resources that i can (coastal does have a math tutoring lab) and im really worried that if i do fail it will mess up my chances of being able to transfer to UNCW. im just looking for someone who maybe has been in a similar situation where they did fail a class originally but then pass it on another attempt, and still was accepted for transfer admission? just overall pretty worried about this affecting my future plans and looking for some reassurance lol
Is there any debate organizations on campus? I haven't been able to find any
I am going to be transferring to UNCW and am looking for a place to live. Right now Seahawk cove looks nice but the google reviews are fairly mixed for it so I was wondering if any of y’all had stayed there and what was your experience with it.
I’m a sophomore, and I have the opportunity to graduate in spring of my junior year, the only downside is that I would have to take 18 credit hours two semesters in a row. All of which being computer science classes, zero electives. Does anybody have any experience with such a full schedule of compsci or similarly rigorous material? Is it possible?
I have friends coming and they want to know where they can park. Some say you can park anywhere on campus on the weekends but I thought you needed a permit.
So spring semester is my last and I need one elective on top of my other 3 classes to graduate. I was thinking about taking acting for non majors. I’m wondering if it’s fun and worth it. I’m an introvert, so keep that in mind. I also wanna know what the class entails. Or if there are any other fun electives I could take, I’d love suggestions. My time ticket is for tmr at 11 so hurry. Thx
I read the website, and tbh the prospect of only 2-3 absences before your grade drops scares me greatly.
I have chronic migraines, sometimes migraines that last a week and end only by going to the ER for the infamous "Migraine Cocktail".
It sucks because literally I can be incapacitated by my migraines, and the idea that there is not a difference between "excused" and "unexcused" absences sounds a little drastic. Sometimes I can't function as a normal human and that's not really my fault.
Is it actually like this?
Hello! I am a computer science student, and I am taking CSC 242 in the spring. I have three options: Clayton Ferner, Karl Ricanek, or Terrence Hernandez. Does anyone have any advice for which one is the best pick? Thank you for your time.
