Hi everyone, I'm right next to unco greeley for a few months for work. Is there any pick up soccer around here?
Hello everyone, I’m applying to masters programs and I stumble across UNCO MBS, is anyone on here enrolled in this program. I have a few questions, also is there any social life in Greeley? I’ve always wanted to move to Colorado, I’m from Nevada. Anyone have anything to say about Greeley?
Hi all,
I got the idea to do this by seeing someone posting in my local city thread, asking about Pueblo as a climate refuge. People sometimes frame climate change as an issue of mostly rising sea levels, rising temps and maybe some more wildfires. There are many more impacts, and Colorado faces a challenging future. I want current and potential future Coloradans to have access to quality info about those challenges, and about the work being done to manage them.
If that's of interest to you, head over to check it out and contribute content if so moved. Please also share with others who may benefit. Goal is to get good, timely CO-specific info out there (reliable news, studies, reports) as well as to give people a place to discuss what they are seeing where they are. Lotta change ahead for Colorado and everywhere else, but an informed community will handle things better than one caught unawares.
Thanks!

im a transfer student and my last school had a place where i went every night to watch raccoons and birds. is there any place like that at UNC? watching animals at night is important to my mental health. any animal will work, doesnt have to be raccoons or birds.

Hey everyone! I'm looking to attend UNC for jazz piano after I'm done with my gap year. The large vocal jazz community is also a draw, as I enjoy arranging tunes for jazz combos and voices. For all you music and music education majors, what has your experience been like here? UNC is known for a great education program. With that being said, do you find noticeable differences in the quality of instruction between music education, performance, and composition? Has your experience been worth it, or do you recommend I look elsewhere for music? Thank you :)
I have two classes in Michener L110 this semester and for the life of me can't seem to find a left handed desk in the entire room.
Does anyone know if they actually exist and can tell me where they are?
Is it worth it and/or actually useful to connect my UNC card to a Wells Fargo account? I already have a checking account at another bank, but since UNC offers the service anyway, I'm thinking about it.
Hi UNCO
We are a pair of computer science graduate students at Clemson University who are studying perceptions of teamwork in online undergraduate classroom breakout rooms.
We ran a pilot study earlier this year with our own student body and would like to expand it now to other 4-year, 2-year, and online colleges/universities.

Hello! I am an incoming freshman psychology major. I was hoping that a current student would tell me how easy/hard it is to miss classes. Are there any classes that have mandatory attendance in order to pass? How do you get “excused” from being in class? How many missed days of class is considered “too many”? Also, when are midterms normally scheduled during the first half of the school year? Thanks in advance!
Edit- I am not planning on skipping class for no reason, I love school and I understand that I am paying a lot of money to be there. However, I have a trip planned (7 days, first semester) and was wondering if my absences would have a profound impact on my grades. Thank you to everyone that responded.
What are the pros and cons of North and South Hall? Trying to decide which one to live in. Thanks!
Hey, I'm trying to find a roommate right now and was wondering if there's any good free websites online to find someone? I'm an upcoming freshman so I need to live on campus but don't want a random roommate.
Hi! So I just got acceptance from the UNC FSI residential program, and I was wondering how selective it is, and if anyone's has had a good research experience there? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I can't find much online.
I’ve heard that the UNCO’s Provost (Mark Anderson) is terrible. What are your thoughts on him or what have you heard about him?
Hi! I’m a junior in high school and I want to go to UNC. I have bad test anxiety and not great in math, so I have a feeling I will get a 1000-1100 on my SAT (I take on April 27). Do I still have an okay chance at getting in? I do extracurricular activities and I have pretty good grades. I hope my SAT score doesn’t prevent me from getting in. Thanks 😊
My first semester here was last Fall, so with all of the COVID restrictions, I've only been on campus a total of maybe 6 times. Next semester (hopefully) will be back to normal and I'll basically be living in Ross Hall and Michener. Anyone have favorite study places? Or know if there even are any?
Anyone having trouble getting accepted into the nursing program?😕
Hi there! I'm looking at going back to school for a second master's to change careers to counseling. I currently work full time from home, and I'm looking at the UNCO Counseling program that is held in intensive weekends - my question is: what are those weekends like? Do you find it tough to spend multiple weekends a year in class plus a full time job during the week?
Honestly, I'm leaning more towards an online program or something with evening classes as a result of the weekend setup - but I also like this UNCO program.
Hello, UNCO community! I am currently working on this independent survey to understand better what first-year and transfer students experience during their new institution's initial year. I would genuinely appreciate it if you could take this survey and tell me how you are doing or how you did during that time of your life. I believe there should be more resources for students' integration, especially when they come in. It will take you less than a minute. Thank you!
I've been really wanting to get some school hoodies/shirts/etc. But the bookstore prices are INSANE and Amazon has given me zilch. Is there somewhere around town that has better prices?
Aight so I'm in the middle of organizing a chess club on campus right now for both CU and UCCS (and reaching out to du and csu) seeing as a lot of people are in this post queen's gambit mood, and pairing that with the fact both places have like a tabletops club but not a specific chess club, I've already received a few dms to get a discord group going so that peers can start some stuff offline and then when clubs come back we can meetup on campus for some games and maybe even hold like some less serious tournaments between campuses. I wanted to see if there was any interest in something like that from up for you guys at UNC where anyone wanted to have matches against us either as individuals or teams once we get going. There's always in city clubs, but usually the age gap range is so broad I find it that others and myself tend to relate better to people in college...
Slightly modified from my post on r/Greeley
