I am just searching for apartments that will allow move in without deposit and will wait until the financial refund money comes in before requiring payment. There are apartments that do this in Raleigh and Greenville, NC so I am just seeing if Asheville has apartments like this?
I just dyed my hair for the first time and rinsed it in the dorm room shower. Some of the dye stained the walls and the floor and I'm planning on cleaning it up tomorrow when I can get to the store to get cleaning stuff. If I'm not able to get all of the staining out will I be charged for damaging the dorm?
Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing okay after Helene. I'm applying for 2025, and I'm really nervous I won't get in. I have an ACT score of 24, GPA of 3.54, but I don't know if I have the math requirements? I've taken maths 1-4, and the closest thing I can see on their requirement lists is integrated math 4, and I have no idea what that is. So sorry if this is a stupid question, I have no idea what I'm doing and I'm applying with no help lol
Coming this week from central NC for one of the scheduled dorm access periods. Naturally we're coming with an empty car... unless we aren't.
There's plenty of general/regional information on how to help, who needs what, etc. But specific to UNCA, its neighborhood, and the people who are still there, can anyone suggest useful items to bring? TIA
of course we're all living through unprecedented times right now, but any idea what this means for the semester/school year? i'm a freshman and this is just all so, so insane and devastating.
Take videos and pictures of everything. Show there is no water, no power, no food, because admin is not telling the truth to parents and the public. Lawsuits will happen so gather the evidence of negligence!
Does anyone have updates from students on/near campus? Do they have food and water? Are they being told to shelter in place? Bulldog alerts are not sufficient. How bad is the damage on campus? Any pics?
Sorry this is so choppy I am in disbelief at the amount of devastation. I’m so worried about everyone out there.
So, where's the new Chancellor? Where's her communication team? Are you on campus? What's the plan?
The last Bulldog Alert is from Friday evening. The most recent information on the website is from Friday evening.
If our students can get to the firehouse to contact family and share important information with each other, then why is our leadership team unable to put out the most basic of updates?
In an information vacuum, people will, often wrongly, fill in the blanks.

This is a problem I had a lot last year, where there just wouldn't be anyone there to give me a new box and so I'd stand around awkwardly with a bunch of other people waiting on a box until someone passed by. Is there somewhere else I'm supposed to go, or do I just have to hope someone is standing there when I get to Brown?
New to the U here. Does the place empty out, or is it worth sticking around?
