What's happening at the three U of L campuses in Lethbridge, Calgary and Edmonton?

If you are a mature student, how has your experience been? What age did you start university at? I’d love to hear stories of people entering education later in life. I’m 25 and won’t be able to apply for probably another year as I’m working full time and upgrading.
Anyone enrolled in this program?
How is it?
Some of you may have seen our post a couple of months ago where we were looking for people to trial our business, for those who didn't here's a quick rundown. A friend and I thought it would be cool if you could turn any photo you want into a paint by numbers kit. That way you can paint your dog, cat, partner, the whole family or whatever you want without having to be an artist.
We looked up the idea and found that the current stores in the market were ridiculously expensive or only offered kits without a frame or with a DIY frame (who wants to put together their own frame? Don't you just want to open the box and start painting). So we looked around and talked to a bunch of suppliers and eventually we were able to produce custom paint by number kits cheaper then anywhere else and already framed.
We reached out to you here on Reddit asking you to test them out at cost price and we've received some amazing feedback as a result. Thank you if you were one of our OG customers! We want to continue to grow and get more feedback and reviews though so we're re-opening the offer in case you missed it the first time around or you want to order some more kits.
You can use the code "COSTPRICEREDDIT" to get our kits for cost price (our margins are pretty slim right now, we want to be as affordable as possible). You can get up to 4 kits at that price so feel free to buy a few and plan a date night, family activity or just get your Christmas shopping done early. If you've already ordered with that code it has no been reset so you can get the deal again!
We look forward to getting more feedback and hopefully you'll love our kits enough to spread the word to your family and friends!

I'm in dorms at the moment but I would like to live in Lethbridge while I'm going to school here. I plan on moving after the winter semester (preferably by end of April, beginning of May) however the info is all over the place and while I've rented before, that was in my hometown where I know where everything is, how it is, etc.
Any tips about going from dorms to rentals? I'm aiming for either a one bedroom apartment or a basement suite however if I end up needing roomates I'm chill with that. Anywhere specific I should look? I'm already in a group on FB and I know to avoid avenue living like the plague. Thanks!
Hello :3
I was thinking about finishing my computer science education at uleth at their Calgary campus. I was wondering if anyone had anything good or bad to say about this campus.
Thank youuu \3
Is masters degree in general management worth taking. How is hr as major and co op program please advise . They have a campus in calgary now as well.
Does Lethbridge offer nursing at Calgary campus?
If so, what’s the course like? How hard is it? I’m trying to decide if I wanna take it or not.
So, today I just dropped 2 of my 3 classes right before finals because I was failing badly in the one and the other was a co-requisite. Next semester, I’m taking 3 courses (all that don’t require the 2 courses as pre-requisites), though now I’m fearful. Am I now on academic probation? Will I be kicked out? What will my transcript look like? If anyone who has been in my shoes or in a similar situation can help a guy out that would be amazing. Thank you!
Edit: I deeply appreciate all the help everyone has provided! It has definitely calmed my nerves regarding the situation I have found myself in. Thankfully, though this situation caused a bit of a blow to my plans for next semester and next year, I feel a bit more confident regarding how to handle it. It seems this is a bit more common than I realized, so if anyone has any more tips to give me or anyone else who has been in this situation, feel absolutely to share them! Thank you for everyone who has taken time out of their day to help - you’re deeply cherished, haha!
I got an acceptance letter November 1st, registered for classes, got loans figured out & now they said i actually have to reapply for open studies…. I’m so concerned because i just need courses as prerequisites for dental hygiene…
I'm looking into taking an education after-degree once I finish my current degree at UCalgary. From my time here so far, ever since covid the student clubs have been borderline dead. Even the "active" ones I found only have events once a month or so. There doesn't really seem to be much of a soul here. I'm a bit torn between ULeth, UofA, and Thompson River. From what I've heard, ULeth has a great education program, so I'm leaning towards it. But my decision may be swayed based on the social experience.
I just got accepted to university of Lethbridge and accepted my offer. I did general science with my streams being kinesiology, chem and bio. I wanna attend grad school but to do that I need a high gpa so I was wondering if anyone could answer a few questions about post secondary as I’m new to all of this and no one I know has attended.
How different is the teaching and learning from high school? How is the city and living on campus without friends and family? How can I get a good GPA besides “working hard” cuz ofc I’m gonna work my hardest but some things like profs, grading curves etc can impact that further. Or basically any other advice you would give a first year that you wish you knew.
I'm considering withdrawing from a class that I previously withdrew from in my first year. I'm not sure if I'll be allowed to take the class for a third time after withdrawing from it twice in two years.
Hello everyone I’m going to apply for this graduate program. Is it hard to be accepted like the rest of counseling programs?
Who are the best profs for Bio, Chem, Psych, Physics? I need someone who can teach and is a easy grader (aka i need a high gpa). I got shitty profs and i do NOT want to make the same mistake again. Tysm in advance yall!!
I need 2 humanities and fine art classes and I was looking at drawing studio 1 and spatial practice 1. Would these classes be doable for someone that does not know anything about drawing or 3d modeling?
Is there anyone who might have a copy of the syllabus from Molecular Immunology BCHM 4000, anytime from the last 5 years is alright
Thank you in advance
Im going to uleth starting September and want advice on housing. Bettween u hall, houses, town homes and the village how was everyones experience.
Has anyone taken Psychology 1010? I'm curious about the course and whether it's a relatively easy class to score a B+ or above. Any info about the course would be greatly appreciated!
Anyone taken this class before? How was the prof and difficulty of this class?
I (18M) am looking to apply to the BSc kin program at U of L for the upcoming fall semester. I am generally a mid 80s to mid 90s student, but I finished with a 67 in chemistry 30, and I'm currently in the low 70s in math 30-1. I'm wondering if anyone with a similar problem has had experience with this program? I was having a rough semester mental health wise and my chem suffered for it, I just don't want to lose out on the program because of that. I'm gonna apply to both the BA and BSc but I'd prefer BSc which has different admissions requirements. BA only needs Eng 30-1 plus four 30 levels but BSc needs Eng, Math, Chem, Bio, and one more (all 30-1 or 30 level).
BSc requirement courses average is: 94 in Bio 30, 93 in Eng 30-1, 67 in Chem 30, 71 in Math 30-1, and 93 in Drama 30 = 83-84 average
BA requirement courses average is: 94 in Bio 30, 93 in Eng 30-1, 93 in Drama 30, 88 in Music 30, and 86 in Soc 30-1 = 90-91 average
Thanks for reading!
Preparing to register for Winter 2025 and I do not find enough information regarding this subject and review of the professor. Anyone studied this professor before and how were the experiences? Also what does the "R" mean? Thanks
What are some easy elective classes for the winter 3000/4000 level?

It's like rice and have gravy on top of it . And as I contacted doordash coustomer service they told me that they can refund. I told they I don't want refund I just want my butter chicken and they say they can't help me with it and as I contacted restaurant they took my phone for 1st time and now they are also not picking up my phone idk what to do any suggestions??!
My laptop hasn't been able to connect to the wi-fi at all today, I have done all the usual disconnect/reconnect/forget network stuff. Is anyone else going through this right now?
I need suggestions for a 3000/4000 level social science class
I'm planning to apply to the Master's in Counselling program. I did my undergrad in psychology from U of C, I have an okay GPA and four years of experience working with special needs kids. I’ve heard it’s very hard to get in. So, I’m looking for any advice that might help my chances, as well as insights about what the program is really like!
Any tips or advice would be super helpful—thanks so much in advance!
Hi!
I was wondering if anyone has any information on cost, layout, availability, etc about the summer accommodations for people staying for those two weeks at the Summer Institute in the Master's of Counselling program? I know the accommodations exist but I can't find any information on it, even after attending the webinar and I'm just wanting to know the benefits of it versus not staying there (and/or feasibility) and the costs.
Thanks!
