Has anyone taken Psychology 1010? I'm curious about the course and whether it's a relatively easy class to score a B+ or above. Any info about the course would be greatly appreciated!
When registering for BIO 1000 or CHEM 1000 i notice there are labs - are these required? Do i need to apply to them to pass?
Anyone taken this class before? How was the prof and difficulty of this class?
I (18M) am looking to apply to the BSc kin program at U of L for the upcoming fall semester. I am generally a mid 80s to mid 90s student, but I finished with a 67 in chemistry 30, and I'm currently in the low 70s in math 30-1. I'm wondering if anyone with a similar problem has had experience with this program? I was having a rough semester mental health wise and my chem suffered for it, I just don't want to lose out on the program because of that. I'm gonna apply to both the BA and BSc but I'd prefer BSc which has different admissions requirements. BA only needs Eng 30-1 plus four 30 levels but BSc needs Eng, Math, Chem, Bio, and one more (all 30-1 or 30 level).
BSc requirement courses average is: 94 in Bio 30, 93 in Eng 30-1, 67 in Chem 30, 71 in Math 30-1, and 93 in Drama 30 = 83-84 average
BA requirement courses average is: 94 in Bio 30, 93 in Eng 30-1, 93 in Drama 30, 88 in Music 30, and 86 in Soc 30-1 = 90-91 average
Thanks for reading!
Preparing to register for Winter 2025 and I do not find enough information regarding this subject and review of the professor. Anyone studied this professor before and how were the experiences? Also what does the "R" mean? Thanks
What are some easy elective classes for the winter 3000/4000 level?

I'm planning to apply to the Master's in Counselling program. I did my undergrad in psychology from U of C, I have an okay GPA and four years of experience working with special needs kids. I’ve heard it’s very hard to get in. So, I’m looking for any advice that might help my chances, as well as insights about what the program is really like!
Any tips or advice would be super helpful—thanks so much in advance!
Hi!
I was wondering if anyone has any information on cost, layout, availability, etc about the summer accommodations for people staying for those two weeks at the Summer Institute in the Master's of Counselling program? I know the accommodations exist but I can't find any information on it, even after attending the webinar and I'm just wanting to know the benefits of it versus not staying there (and/or feasibility) and the costs.
Thanks!
hi all i’ll be joining ULeth by Jan 2025, really wanted to know more about the psychology classes and faculty. if you’ve ever attended classes related to it, could you please share your experience as im really curious about what to expect and any tips on how to study for the same.
Can anyone in this semester tell me what the current anatomy textbook is please? Trying to plan for the future.
Thanks :)
I plan to apply for my Masters in Management (International Management) for Fall 2025! Would love if y'all dropped your reviews of the Calgary Campus. Does the school have a good reputation, i.e. good job prospects later? I'm really confused if I should apply heree. Please help a girl out!
Hello all,
I’ll be applying to the MEd Counselling Psyc program this year! I know it’s very competitive, so I was looking for some insight to see how competitive my application will be.
For those who have been accepted to the program, would you be willing to talk about your stats — GPA and work/volunteer experience? Also, how many times did you apply before getting accepted? How did the program go/how are you enjoying it?
You can pm me as well if you’d prefer to talk about it privately!
Thank you :)
I've just been made aware that the program planning guide (PPG) for Biochemistry has possibly changed in recent years. In the past, Biochemistry 2000 -- Introductory Biochemistry was supposed to be taken in the 2nd year, Winter semester. Recently (including this year), Biochemistry 2000 is recommended to be taken in the 2nd year, Fall semester.
Unfortunately, this doesn't reconcile with prerequisites as described in the Course Catalogue/Undergraduate Calendar. The prerequisite for Biochemistry 2000 is Chemistry 2500 -- Organic Chemistry I (or Chemistry 2120 -- Chemistry for Life Sciences II).
I don't understand how one would take Biochemistry 2000, and its prerequisite Chemistry 2500, at the same time in the same semester, rather than sequentially as prerequisites should normally work.
Can anyone shed some light on how long this has been going on, and the rationale behind it? Much appreciated!
In general but specifically for bachelor of arts
Does ASTR 2070 - The Solar System with A. Tetarenko (P), have online tests, that we take from anywhere or do we write them in the learning centre.
I was running late for work, I ran by saying I'll be right back, got told they'll be there for a bit, 20 minutes later I turn around and they were gone 😭 Anyone know who I can get ahold of by chance? 😅 I really wanted to give my meaning of consent, get a free plant and stickers. 🙏
Hi guys, I’m currently considering the ULeth to apply for masters in Counselling. It seems that Google reviews about this university are very controversial however, with some ppl putting one star, and others five. I understand this may be because of different study programs and faculty. Is there anyone here who has finished MEd in Counselling who can share their overall opinion? Or just some general thoughts about this university? Shall I apply?
Has anyone gotten any scholarships or awards yet? I’m waiting on the graduate awards I applied for and or any general ones. It says on the bridge that results should have been out on or before October 1st but all of my applications still say submitted. Wondering if I just didn’t get any and it hasn’t updated to say so? Anyone gotten any results outside of entrance scholarships/awards?
so, i’ve been suspecting i have ADHD for quite some time, and both of my sisters have been diagnosed and offered medication in the past. i felt like ive dealt with it fine—keeping afloat kind of thing. but ive recently gone through a tough experience in my personal life and im just exhausted and i dont want to feel like this anymore.
i just emailed the health centre about being interested in getting an assessment in the hopes of medication and i just want to know if anyone has gone through the process of this with the uni health/mental health centre.
i’m kind of concerned i’ll be brushed off, ignored, or an appointment won’t happen for a long time. but i want to improve as soon as possible.
any of you have an experience with this with the uni health centre? any tips, advice, info, etc.??
Hi there! I sent in an inquiry regarding the After-Degree program for nursing and it’s been 6 days since my initial email. Do they even check their emails or should I expect it to be answered in up to two weeks time? Just incase, I’ll just ask it here:
Basically, I already have a degree in something completely unrelated to the healthcare field. As I’m filling out my application, I see that I can only sign up for the After Degree program for nursing. No big deal, but I just want to know if I’d even be considered for it? Is the After Degree program for anyone with any kind of bachelors degree?
I assume I’d have to probably take some pre-reqs or something, and I understand it’s competitive.
Yeah idk, just any kind of information would help! I’m just annoyed because I haven’t gotten a response from them at all and it just seems strange that an institution would take that long to write back. Maybe they’re swamped though idk.
Thank you!
Heyyy everyone I'm very new to Lethbridge (2-3 weeks) and I wanded to eat pizza or anything thing which is halal so can anyone suggest me any restaurant ?? Thank you for your time
I am a Master's graduate in Organic Chemistry, and I have applied for a Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of Lethbridge. My professor was ready to provide funding and support, but the university committee suggested that I take a Master's for one year first. If everything goes well, they will transfer me to the Ph.D. program after one year. If not, I can complete the Master's and earn the degree.
The problem is that I have already completed my Master's in India. I’m unsure if this is a good option because I don’t want to waste a year if I eventually have to complete my Ph.D. However, I’m also uncertain whether I will be able to finish the Ph.D., as many people have told me that if you’re not passionate, you shouldn't pursue it.
I am confused. Which option would you choose?
