Hi everyone! 😊 I need your help to figure out more about representation in the music industry!! I'm Leo, a master's student at the University of Amsterdam. For my thesis, l'm conducting a study on people's connections with their favorite musicians and aspects of identity, and I'd love for you to participate. The survey will take around 3 minutes! And it's fun, I swear. The survey: https://uva.fra1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_4UVGirZskuwijiu
The answers will remain anonymous and confidential. If you have any questions, feel free to message me. I really appreciate your time and support. It means a lot! 😊 Best, Leo

When I was younger my older sister would always play lowkey/underground uk rap songs around me. Now I’m 21 I get these snippets in my head but no matter how much I search I cannot find the title or artists to any of these songs, neither can my sister. if anyone can find me these songs I’d be eternally grateful.
lyrics 1 ‘I got good lyrics, but me I’m all real no gimmicks, thug life I live it …busting guns…..yeah I did it.’
that is the first example of a snippet to a song. I’m not sure if the lyrics are entirely correct but it’s close enough.
lyrics 2 ‘only time I let go of the mic is when my nuts itch‘
very vulgar I know, I don’t know why these are the only lyrics I can seem to remember, but I did seem to enjoy it at my ripe age of 10
lyrics 3 ‘ when I was in the streets with the crooks, you was at school reading books’
If there’s anyone who listened to the same type of music as my sister, drill, grime, rap, plsssss let me know what these 3 songs are.

This weeks criminally underrated artist goes to… this yute dilz43 hard af!
Used to write loads to other beats, make mixtapes etc. Then spent over a decade exclusively making my own beats but my style is left field musically and doesn't inspire me to write or deliver the feel I aim for.
Here is the only rap tune I've made in the last couple of years that I like but it doesn't seem well received.
I'd like advice on where I'm lacking.

I'm from NZ and listen to UK rap, although with Nolay's song the godmother. I can't understand what she says in some parts. When she says "When I send shots it's political", the rest of that line I don't understand apart from the word "civillians". Then she says "Because he's always been rough (or buff)" not sure which one. At the 1:10 mark she says something with the word body in it. 1:20 she says something like "The whole scene gonna thank a b (b word) when an iceberg hit's it's like I sank a ship." 1:51 She says "Because I'm on a level that these guys can't touch and I'm undisgrunt or undisgrunted" whatever the heck that means. At 2:24 she says "me and you ain't in the same boat"? And lastly at 2:32 I'm not sure.
Thanks for any answers
Might not be everyone's thing but the style of music is still new to the UK. Would love some feedback too for when I next release. Oh and if you actually like the music, please give me a follow on Spotify (or YT, SoundCloud etc). Thanks very much 🙏🏼
