How is first semester of UFV BSN in terms of being able to manage everything and the workload?

As stated in the title has anyone successfully been able to register for a biology course for a third time after not getting a high enough grade the first two times? I’m currently in a bio course and nervous about not passing for a second time and would like to know if anyone else was successful at taking a bio course for a third time.

How many days and hours a week are you doing clinicals during your semesters and where do you do them?

I am enrolled full time in the current fall semester and my enrolment time for classes is not available until November 21st. Am I able to apply for funding before I actually register for the classes? I know you need to apply for the funding well in advance before the semester starts.

This is my first year applying for funding so I am not sure how it works!

Hello, I was curious about UFVs high school course pre requisite requirements. I am aware if the grade is not stated, the minimum required is a C-. Is the C- 60-62%, which is based on UFVs grading scale? Or is it just 50%, which is based on BC's grading scale? I recently completed a highschool course online that is a required pre req, where I received 50%... I am hoping I am not screwed lol

I am looking for other people who are currently taking ENGL105 online with Emily Seitz. Thoughts on her absurd she is? Pretty bizarre attitude and marking regarding the Informative Essay... I am considering filing a formal complaint and believe something could get done about her if other students come forward as well.

So I am currently taking a business course with this professor. My issue is that she had mistakes on her midterm. Some questions were from her quizzes and i obviously had the correct answers based off the quizes but this professor had the wrong answers in the midterm because of her spelling and grammar. This is NOT THE FIRST TIME she has done this with a class as a classmate told me he took a different course with her and she changed thigns in the middle of thier midterm. She also constantly changes her instructions and I just do not know what is happening anymore. She does not even reply to email. Any help? any past experiences?

Does anyone know of any good upper level elective options (4 credits) with little to no pre recs? I have 70 credits as of now.

I didn’t get into the nursing program for the winter 2025 but got the email for a subsequent application (form what i understands it just means apply again). Is there anyway to know what i should be upgrading or is it best just to keep applying while updating my pre requisites?

Also, i was planning to re-do chem 083 and bio 093 to upgrade the pre requisites. I’ve already done eng 105 for extra. is there any other classes i can do?

as for applications, they just introduced needing to do the casper test for applications (though when i applied it wasn’t a thing yet), has anyone had to do it? if so, any tips?

Has anyone taken a class with Mariana Toniolo Barrios or Nathanael Arney in the business department?

How was your experience with them, any pros or cons?

I have to do general requirement courses for my BA degree and only two of them is left which are second language courses AND written or oral language course requirement.

I got accepted into the winter 2025 intake and was wondering if I should quit my job or not. Their website states that "The Nursing program is very demanding. Students who are taking a full course load will not have time to work either full-time or part-time." But I love making money and do not want to quit. I'm in nursing track, close to completing 3 of the required courses and can probably get my availability down to 2 days a week. Does anyone have any experience working during the BSN program? Also I heard that clinical days can get shifted around for nursing schools, is this true for UFV?

Is it possible to switch from a diploma to a certificate midway through the diploma? This is a bit of an emergency

After hours of screaming and crying (and accidentally reading the Winter 2024 timetable), I finally made a comprehensive and reasonable course list that covers all my needed classes. My issue is, this list is so delicate, one cancellation or time change can mess up the whole thing. There’s only 1 French lab I can take that doesn’t conflict with anything else, but I know that it can be canceled due to lack of students. Is anyone else experiencing extreme frustration?

I'm looking for individuals within Canada who are South Asian Adult Children of Alcoholics for my Masters thesis research study. I've attached a brief description of my study.

"I am conducting a research study exploring the experiences of South Asian ACoAs (Adult Children of Alcoholics) and the meaning they associate with alcoholism. I am seeking to interview individuals raised in South Asian households with an alcoholic parent or one who misused alcohol, to better understand the cultural and mental health dynamics involved.

If you know anyone who may be interested in participating, I am looking for South Asian ACoAs who:

Identify as South Asian and were raised in a South Asian household.

Lived with a parent who struggled with alcoholism or alcohol misuse.

Are 19 years or older.

Are fluent in English for a 1-2 hour online interview.

Anyone done COMP 440? any tips ? is it just for 1 semester or span of 2 semesters or does it depend on the prof ? I heard from a couple friends over at SFU and UBC that their capstone took 2 semesters not just 1.
