I know nobody gaf but this is just for self-catharsis. What the fuck. I got a 78 on my first chem exam, and lost 15% on a question because i copied a number from my calculator wrong (1.6629 instead of 1.629). Since this was in the first step i lost basically all the points even though I showed all my work and clearly understood the concept. You’d think that professors would be more concerned with students actually knowing the material than them making a simple mistake but I suppose not. Since that exam was worth 10% of my grade, I therefore lost 1.5% off my total grade for the class due to that extra 6. I’m a chem major (and an sb2 major), got a 5 on the ap chem exam, and I studied through organic chemistry in highschool, i’m only taking this class because an advisor during orientation lied and told me I had to, and it’s already making me want to drop my chem major because this grading is BS, you should be graded on material competency, not this.

I honestly have no idea how everyone just puts up with it. I swear like half of the dishes on the rack will have chunks of food still on them or will be smeared in shit. You could go through five knives before using finding one that at least looks sanitary. It's disgusting and probably violates FDA code.

I got a serious favor to ask from you guys, and I genuinely appreciates anyone who helps out. Please tell me everything you know about Pi Delta Psi. It's one of the Asian frats, and my cousin (who's half-Asian and just accepted his recruitment offer from UConn) was thinking about joining it next year.

Crazy thing is that I didn't even have to bring the frat up to my friends, they brought it up first. Started yapping about how two of my Asian friends almost joined what they called the "Asian rape frat," which is jarring to say in the least. They didn't really expand on why they called it the rape frat, but they did talk about gangbanging someone from the sister frat.

Either that shit is perfectly normal or blatantly false, and I'm desperate to find out which it is. My cousin can do whatever he wants, but I at least want him to know what he's getting into.

But my curiosity is still piqued; if this is common practice for them, is it like that for all frats? I don't have the same personal stake in knowing, but definitely comment if your experience at another frat even mildly mirrors my incredibly brief description.

JUST TO CLARIFY, THIS IS ALL ALLEGED! I genuinely know nothing about this frat besides a fuzzy conversation from two weeks ago. I'm leaving out a lot of details because I can only be sure of the fact that they referred to it as the Asian rape frat and talked about how they would gangbang someone from their sister sorority, verbatim. I'm not trying to defame them. I just want to set the record straight with more opinions and experiences. Please drop below any experience you've had with them or even anything you've heard. I can't guarantee that everything still works or that I have everything since it's been a few years since I've take the class, hence why i dont want any money for them. It looks like I have most of the chips, the board, the logic probe, a multimeter, and a couple other parts. I also used to have my lab parts for ECE 2001 but I can't seem to find them, if I do I'll update the post. Hi guys ! A lot of nights I enjoy lurking in areas and scaring passerby's. I find this very meditating, and there's always a good chuckle once the initial fright wears off. I was wondering if it would be ok to go inside this large hole at North West at night, and appear like a whack a mole and cackle? Hi, I'm taking History 1502 this semester, it's basic freshman history, and I'm having a hard time and I'd like to know if anyone has any advice. basically, it's a course starting with the Civil War and Reconstruction and going from there in US history. I was wondering if anyone has taken this or is taking it and could help me? or provide any kind of academic support resources for history or freshmen on Storrs campus? I just feel like the professor expects us to have background knowledge from high school and it's making understanding the course so much more difficult because I don't know the things he's talking about when he says "I'm sure everyone already knows this". midterm is in 2 weeks and I'm really scared that I'm gonna get a bad grade on it. I didn't do that good on the last test, and the research paper at the end of the course is a whole mess and I don't even know where to start. So if anyone at UConn has any academic advice for history courses or this course that would be super helpful.

Update: the class average for the quiz was a 64% and I got an 87% which is a B+ (I thought I got a B) so nvm I feel better about my grade I'm just not used to getting B's so I kind of freaked out but thanks for the help guys I appreciate it

I'm just wondering where the best place on campus is to make your own coffee in a travel mug, Ive been relying on Dunkin but that's starting to get expensive☠️. Specifically I'm looking for like dining halls or something where I can do it myself.

Im thinking of taking a winter course (COMM1000) and doing an alternate break this winter. The alternate break is the last week of the class and there’s about 2-3 hours of free time each day of the program. I heard COMM1000 is pretty easy, is it one of those classes where I can do the work in advance? Thanks
