Anyone know what the parking situation is like at the RDS for exam season? I want to drive for my exams but obviously don't want to get caught in a situation where there's no spaces.
I‘m in sixth year looking to do chemical and bioprocess engineering in UCD next year. I’d love to go to Germany for Erasmus, but online it doesn’t seem like it’s available for that course. Can anyone confirm or deny?
I'm a study abroad student and I'm leaving a the end of this semester. I need to get rid of some basic living stuff like sheets and things, but I don't want to throw perfectly good things out. What should I do with it?
P.s. I also have a lab coat and glasses I would like to resell if possible.
I am looking for insight into the Yugo apartments in Dublin. Which is best? Which room is quieter? Should I have more or less flatmates? Which floor? I am a UCD student if that helps. Going into second year in September 2025. Thanks!
Anyone interested in renting a Double room in Stoneybatter? On 39A route (2 min walk to bus stop) Also very close to city centre.
Anyone who has received an acceptance / rejection for Marketing?
I am considering doing the Msc Environmental Sustainability online (the full time one). I am wondering if there is anyone here already doing this course. It looks pretty intensive. Considering that I am already working full-time, it would be good to know if someone else is doing it while working too so I'd know that the load is manageable. How good are the materials? Is it enjoyable and worth doing? Any challenges with time differences?
Did anyone take this module MIS30070? Can anyone tell me what it is like?
The site doesn't really say anything interesting about the course's content.
Thank you!
Hey I’m gonna apply for universities in Ireland and wondering, if I could use Chatgpt to write my sop, because, anyway I’ll be one feeding gpt all the details?
Guys which one do you think is better for Msc finance? UCD/TCD? I’m looking out in terms of good education, job opportunities, travel and obviously great student experience. Can anyone help? Thanks!!
Would anyone happen to have a picture of the tickets they give out for graduations (they reuse the same ones every time)? I'd really appreciate it if someone would be so kind as to share it :) Thank you
I have recently applied for Msc in data and computational science at UCD - but have a thought in the back of my head that i should try applying fot Msc IS too. Given the fact i graduated this year holding a Bachelors in Information Technology. Would really be of great favour if i get insights about Information Systems coursework and focus of the course. TIA
OH AND OFC ANY LEADS ABOUT DATA AND COMPUTATIONAL SCIENCE TOO :)
Hello! I am an A Level student in my last school year applying to a UCD bachelor and I saw that in documents required they also mention high school transcripts. Is it okay if I apply just with my AS Level results and my predicted grades? Because our school doesn't rly do transcripts.
Hi
I recently received the offer letter for the MSc Information Systems program at University College Dublin (UCD) for the September 2025 intake.
I also got a scholarship for €5,500.
Is there anyone else who has received their offer letters and is planning to pursue this course for the same intake?
If you’re planning to join for September 2025, please feel free to reply! It would be great to connect and share plans.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
i applied to msc in data and computational sciences on 4th of October for sep 2025 intake. but the application seems to be still under review for a long time now. how long will it take to get a decision?
Hey I have an exam 2 weeks time and I need a scientific calculator that is non programmable and can do complex number equations.
I'm thinking about getting the casio fx991cw. I thinks it's non programmable, would this be a good calculator? Anyone in a STEM course can tell me what they use?
I'm an international student from India and have been offered the course MSc in Marketing course at UCD. I had also applied for their Digital marketing course but haven't received a reply from them yet.
I currently have around 2.5 years of work experience in the digital marketing domain and am currently working at a very reputed advertising agency.
I wanted advice and guidance around:
I've listed some of the doubts that I have, it would mean a lot if we could discuss this in a bit more detailed manner.
Thank you for your time!
I have been offered the course MSc in Strategic Management at UCD.
I currently have around 3.5 years of work experience as a project manager at an IT consulting firm; by the time I’ll join the course I’ll have a total experience of just over 4 years.
I wanted advice and guidance around:
Above are a few queries, would love to discuss more incase you’ve time, thank you!
I posted this few days ago https://www.reddit.com/r/UCD/s/oc63DXh91a
Everyone is saying don’t come to ucd, the degree is a scam, and you won’t be learning shit and finding a job is also difficult. Is this all true? If yes then what other option I have to study in Ireland only in (computer science) and in which university.
Heyy I'm going to Fontaines on friday but I'm on my own...anyone else going and wanna meet up? My ig is @sh.ott.s :))
Hi there!
I'm wondering if anybody here knows if it is a thing in Ireland to do undergrad placements - specifically during the academic year, a sandwich degree if you know what I mean.
I'm from Dublin but I'm studying in the UK and considering coming back home to work for a year (its part of my degree) since it will be much cheaper for me, and I'm struggling to find many companies that offer specific 12 month placements for students.
I know I can just email random companies and ask them if they have a internship, but it would be helpful if any students in college in dublin could let me know if undergrad placements are a thing.
I’m a year 1 CS student and I can’t find the timetable anywhere :(
So about 2 weeks ago l was automatically logged out of the app in the morning. I tried pogging back in but it kept saying that the email is not registered in the system. My other logins are working fine (like connect and sisweb). Whenever l go down to the village halls they are like we are working on the issue (for past 2 weeks now) l had logged in a request for the appartment so can’t even track that without the app. I don’t know why are they being so dismissive, is anyone else also facing this issue?
My accommodation at Yugo Highfield Park is available for someone to take over starting Dec onwards.
It’s roughly 300 euros /week. Located in Dublin 07, it has a direct tram line to Trinity. It also has a direct bus to UCD, DCU, TU Dublin and more.
I’m giving away all of my amenities that come with it— 300 euros worth of Towels, Sheets, some kitchenware, etc. It has a great en-suite, bedroom, desk.
About the neighborhood (Phibsborough): Phoenix park is a 15 minute walk away, there are plenty of grocery stores (Tesco, Spar, Lidl), there is a great community here. There is a gym in the residence, movie room, and laundry as well. It is a shared kitchen, but I have no problems with the people here. Very accommodating staff as well.
Dm me for more info!
so my current gpa is 3.18. this is cos in first year i failed a class then started averaging C’s. semester 1 of second year and i’ve gotten my motivation back and now i’m averaging B+s mostly. i know this will bring my gpa up a bit but nothing crazy. there are 15 universities open to my field of study, with 7 universities open to students across multiple disciplines. i won’t be able to apply to some of these as they have a language requirement and i’ll need to do my course in english. but overall i will fill all 15 places of my application regardless. is it likely i’ll get accepted into anywhere which such a low gpa though? i only just meet the 3.0 gpa requirement
I mean how is the job prospects or what is the market for urban planners in Ireland. Is there any opportunities? Or pay wise what is the scale ?
Hi Folks,
Has anyone recently taken the Duolingo English Test with the new secondary camera requirement? How was your experience with it? Would you recommend this test, or should I consider other English proficiency tests instead?
