I am an older grad applicant with a wife and children, so I’m curious if the off campus graduate housing includes actual houses with a yard? Or anything equivalent? We don’t want to sell our current house and buy one there the first year if we don’t have to. We would rather wait till the 2nd year to buy something. Thoughts?
I am a full-time employee, with my regular schedule being 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. I want to pursue a degree in Computer Science at UCCS. Does this program offer classes both in-person and online? I am a transfer student.
I work as a technician nearby and was thinking about going to UCCS. I have noticed that the CS grads from the school are really well prepared. I've met UCCS engineering grads and they're kids fresh out of school but their knowledge and skills seem to be behind. The company mainly hires from Mines, Boulder and Fort Collins for mechanical or electrical engineering work. Those graduates are usually given the tougher assignments at work. The UCCS engineering grads look they don't know what they're doing, so they will work with me on beginner tasks. I don't think that UCCS schooling should be that much different compared to the other competing public state universities.
Whatre the good college bars? New to town
How do I find my payroll liason to contact them for MyLeave? I forgot to turn in my timesheet.
I am an international student and have applied to the cs phd program. My application is in COMMITTEE REVIEW since forever. I have emailed to the grad school and they said it’s up to the committee members when they’ll release a decision.
I am worried about getting a visa since it’s getting late. Does anyone know when the committee will release the decision? I have seen that people have gotten into the ms program in last month! I am not sure did I get rejected or not..
I am trying to find more information on the finanical support available. I see that they offer graduate assistantships for up to four years? Anyone know how much this could be? It sounds like after completing the PhD I might still walk away with a lot of student debt potentially?
I accidentally parked in the non-visitor parking in the garage when I was in a rush and received a ticket for it. But I did not pay it immediately and forgot about it. I know the cost of the citation has increased considerably because I haven’t paid so shame on me for that.
Are there any other fines that I will have to pay? Does this unpaid ticket report back to the Colorado DMV?
Hi everyone,
Dr. Littleton of the UCCS Psychology department is recruiting undergraduate volunteer RAs for her lab for the Spring semester to work on a NIH funded clinical trial of an online group intervention for LGBTQ+ teens and their parents/caregivers. Undergraduate RAs will gain experience with multiple aspects of clinical trials including study recruitment, screening participants for eligibility, and conducting fidelity coding of intervention sessions. Opportunities are available for 1, 2, and 3 credit hour RA positions. Click on this link to learn more and apply: tinyurl.com/hfbfinterest
A few months ago…
UCCS Police Chief and other university leaders leave five months after campus double homicide
So five months after the campus double homicide, the UCCS police chief left his position and completely retired from law enforcement—and the school announced it in the most concealed and subtle way possible. Now the director of emergency management is speaking out about losing his job after trying to improve safety at the school. Really suspicious stuff.

hey! im transferring to uccs from ul lafayette, i just need some advice😭. my major is in human services, i just need to know who to take, who not to take.. hot spots on/around campus, like wassup?
Look I get it, I have to become a well rounded student and intro to ethics will definitely help me out when I can't find a job after I graduate and go back to working at Walmart. But do the humanity requirements have to be this egregious? Some of the compass requirements are ok, but the course options for cultural diversity in particular are ridiculous. Am I really expected to choose senior level social science classes for this? Obviously not, I'm supposed to pick intro to social justice. But this being the only reasonable choice, the instructors teaching that class could make it impossible to pass and I'd just be shit out of luck.
It's even funnier when the STEM elective requirements are jokes. Energy science and INDS 1050 offer no value to any students and are only there so humanity majors don't have to learn algebra. HUM 3990 is a joke too, imagine if art students had to take intro to analysis. The idea that I'll have to take advanced rhetoric and writing because I didn't write enough essays outside English 1 and 2 makes me want to blow my brains out.
I am an international student. I got admit for MS CS in UCCS and School of Mines. Just wanted to know about the internship opportunities and university jobs at UCCS. Also, wanted to know about the job prospects after graduating from UCCS. What is the average salary one can expect? Are there career fairs held? Does graduate from Mines give a cutting edge for job opportunities than graduating from UCCS?
I moved to Colorado Springs for a job working as a waiter and rent and bills has been really hard because Springs is expensive. I want a change in my life and have been giving a lot of thought about going for my original passion which is to become a dentist.
I did my research and found out that the CU Anschutz Medical Campus has a 3.8% admission rate for their DMD program. They also require 50 mandatory hours of dental shadowing otherwise the application is not reviewed or considered complete. In addition, they require 3 letters of recommendation, where 2 must come from science professors and the last must be a professional letter ideally from an employer.
For now since money is really a concern for me, I have to keep this job but I wanted to know if I can take evening pre-med/pre-dental courses.
I recently got an Insignia TV and I’m in Village at Alpine. Is there a way to connect to WiFi here? Being that we have to log in when you do it on your phone/laptop. Plz someone help.
So I was on my way back from class when a guy standing by the Osborne lawn next to one of those familiar tables with the black cloth advertising student jobs handed me this card. He said it's "super part-time" "flexible" and what not. I asked what kind of work this is and he just said it's "customer sales and service." Going off his vague language and what's on the card it seemed slightly sus, but I am a poor student with some experience in retail and customer service so I decided to check it out. To put it simply, after doing some brief research I can confidently say that this company is a pyramid scheme. I know most seeing this company will wisely not bother, but there will be some that don't and I just thought I would clear this chasm of ignorance. you can search on r/antiMLM to see.
As the title suggests, is a teaching degree worth it? I had my advising meeting and I would have to be a full time student till I graduate and there is so many classes. Too many I already feel so burnt out of school and then there are those exams at the end that cost a sh*t ton. Is it really this hard to become a teacher? Is all this stress and time worth it for this degree?

How much is the accelerated BSN program (without aid)? Trying to compare with PPSC?
What score should I get for the TEAS?
Does anyone know if Big cat cafe on campus is hiring at the moment?
Currently at another university and just looking to take a class here as it fits schedule better. Anyone have experience with Professor Samer Iskander?
I don’t know what to do the fasfa only awarded me 9,400 for the ENTIRE year that’s including a subsidized loan I believe I have to withdrawal and not attend the school since i have no way of even paying for my first semester here as a transfer student which costs 9,690.46. My fall grant would only cover 6,200 of the bill does anyone know what I should do?
So I forgot to buy a pass and now none of the passes for the main campus are available. I’m on a waitlist but idk. I commute from Monument every day so I need to drive, and I have to be at school at 6am some days, which is an hour before the shuttle starts running… so the free lots aren’t really an option.
I have been parking without a pass every day and haven’t gotten a ticket so far but im not counting on my luck lasting. What the hell do I do 😭
Why is the parking so congested and terrible this semester? I was a doofus and didn’t think they would simply run out of central campus parking at a commuter school.
Everywhere I look parking spots are filled with even more cars circling the lots hoping to snag someone pulling out.
Not to mention the bus systems being absolutely abysmal and inconsistent.
I got to campus an entire hour before my class and was still 10 minutes late. Guess I’ll have to get here even earlier??
Are more people attending college suddenly?? Does anyone live on campus?
So we just moved here and I'm doing everything on my own. I'm working one job as a cna and going into the rn program. What's it like? My husband and I are military and I'm taking a break from picking up stupid amounts of hours. I'm only working 3 days a week which is amazing compared to working 46-60hrs a week with no breaks. What's the class load like. Also I have 120 credits from getting my associates in Kansas which has the very basis for education, psychology. I was trying to do a dual major for 5 years with 4 of them me working part time as a paraprofessional working with special needs kids ages 3-18.
I have noticed that from around 9 to 11:30 the internet is terrible. Will the bandwidth increase next week or will it be like this year round?
