I'm looking to move to Tyler with my family soon. I spent 4 summers as staff at Pine Cove and flying in next weekend for some job opportunities.

What's the best areas to be looking at houses? Or more particular, what areas should I avoid? Thanks!

I have very fine hair and want a stylist with the same hair type. It seems that's the only way to get a good cut. I have all but given up on my hair due to horrible cuts and even negative comments from stylists. I've been doing a blunt cut on myself and throwing in a bun and it makes me sad lol.

I am currently looking for a good attorney to dispute charges from an Apartment Complex. Long story short, we've been tenants of the complex for roughly 3 years and prior to moving and after settling into the apartment, we've reported Safety Issues/Concerns but was provided with no resolutions other than a shrug and excuses. After the constant mishandling and improper business and care, we've Terminated our Lease but they are now pursuing us..

Issues: -Lack of Lights (Porch, Building Security, Dumpster) -Weathering Strips (Both Doors) -Exposed Cable (Walk Space) -Cracked Window (Didn't replace) -Electrical Burn Marks -Roaches/Water Bugs (Coming through tub/doorways)

I had my car broken into the first year staying and they're well aware the lack of security within our area..

My wife and I are thinking about going to the boardroom. I had a two part question - is it open to new folks? Is it welcoming? And secondly, is it just a Magic card house? Are there opportunities or folks to play some more traditional games that don't require a lot of prior experience like monopoly etc? Catan would be a bit of a stretch for my wife, but I think she'd be open to it if we had a group that was open to teaching.

I guess I am just trying to figure out the vibe of the place before we make plans. Seems like some ppl in this subreddit have spoken highly of the place but I haven't been to check it out...

I know Trick or Treating isn’t the same as it used to be in the early 2000’s, sigh, but are there any good neighborhoods that have a decent amount of kids & families out and about? Some trunk or treats are being cancelled/ changed due to chance of rain.

Saturday morning there was an accident in front of Lowe’s at the corner of Donnybrook and Broadway. There was a man sitting (up) on the ground and lots of people around him (enough I didn’t need to stop) and I could see a bicycle under a giant lifted truck next to him. Honestly, I can’t stop thinking about how traumatic it must have been for both parties.

I can’t find anything about this online and I would like to know if everyone is okay.

I frequent the Walmart on S. Broadway, I’ve never really been approached by anyone there before. I’m a woman in my early 20s so I try to be on alert when I’m by myself. I was there around 5 or so and as I was putting groceries in my car, I was approached by an older looking Hispanic woman with a young boy. She didn’t seem to speak English very well, but she asked if I could help her and it sounded like she said she was sleeping in her car. I was uncomfortable as I was by myself so I declined, and once I got in my car I watched her approach other women asking for help. I’m not making any accusations, I was just wondering if anyone else was approached by this woman or knows her situation? TIA.

Need help finding a private owner or apartment with no credit check or can work with bad credit. I have no credit and my boyfriend has bad credit, his score is low. I am currently unemployed but my boyfriend is a disabled veteran that gets a guaranteed monthly check from the VA. Our budget each month at most would be $1200 for rent. We don't drink or do drugs. The place we are in has black mold in most of the house and the landlord doesn't want to do anything about it. There is a list of other problems but its too much to get into. Were both getting sick and need somewhere else to live. I've looked on FB marketplace but haven't had much luck.
