So I’m just getting into Mr. Segall after being a huge fan of King Gizz and Osees, and I wanna make sure that I credit each album with the appropriate backing band name (for example - The Muggers, The Freedom Band, etc.)
Is there a comprehensive list of some sort that has what band name goes with what albums? I know Wiki kinda does it for certain albums, but I was looking for overall if possible?
If not, that’s fine.
Also - being new to the artist; what’s a good starting point that’s most accessible? I mean, I don’t think I’ve gotta try too hard as I’ve gotten really familiar with KG and Osees, but I don’t know if there’s a most popular album or should I just go from the start?
Thank you very much. Also, Happy Thanksgiving if you celebrate that too!
I’ve been paying close attention to the drums in the self titled album and noticed a majority of the album seems to of been composed using only a guitar, tambourine, and a snare drum. Do you guys think if anyone else attempted a similar style it would work?
I'm flying to New York on holiday in April and wanted to go to the Ty Segall concert. Why is it 18+? That doesn't make sense to me, here in Germany there are almost no concerts that are 18+. I'm not 18 yet but I wanted to go with my 27 year old brother. Above all, it's a solo acoustic concert, which makes it even more harmless... this actually makes me a bit sad
Ty Segall’s musical style has changed a lot through the years, which time period do you prefer?
I can’t make the show anymore so I’m offering a ticket for $39
Does someone know who played drums on this album? I'm a big fan of the laid back behind the beat feel of the playing..
was there any problem between them?
Emmett Kelly takes the lead
I don't suppose anyone has any info on what happened during Ty's set at EOTR? Hopefully the person in the crowd was ok as he called for medical help.
The last part of void rips so hard, it clicked for me, one of the heaviest moments in his discography imo
all the credits say on the vinyl is a guy named "BFS", who are they?
41:02 Goodbye Bread with slide
It’s especially present on the track Who Are You (my favorite on that album). I can’t tell if it’s a whammy bar, or just really good bends.
Hello y’all!
I’m looking for a live video of Loose Sutures. In The Red Records’ YouTube channel posted it for a limited time some years ago and took it down after a couple of months. The video was black and white, it had an extensive jam in the middle and it was awesome. I was gonna save it before they delete it, but I neglected that and now it’s gone. That performance was really cool and I’d love to listen to it again.
Has anyone got that video saved and would be kind enough to share? :-))
If someone wants to come comment below! No need for payment, but if you could buy me a beer at the venue per ticket thet would be nice haha
