I am currently DMing a 5e campaign at Summit Brewing on Wednesdays(6-9pm). I am looking for 2 new players for a tolerant and inclusive table. Currently just ending The Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan but will be starting White Plume Mountain soon. Afterwards I plan on starting a new 5e Spelljammer campaign. Ideally these would be players comfortable with 5e, not necessarily expert. Please message me if you are interested. Please make sure your privacy settings are correct so I can message you back.

This is an open invite to join me at Roseville Dreamers Vault, Friday January 31st to play boardgames. I will arrive around 6pm and play 15-30 minute games with whoever is there. At 7pm we'll decide what longer games to play. You'll know me by my bald head, bushy beard, and Costco/Ikea bag of games. I usually grab a table on the left side at the back of the gaming area.
If you're hesitating because you're not already into boardgames and we'll have to explain the rules to you, don't worry. I need to explain the rules to everyone basically every time. Even vets of the gaming scene have to have games explained to them. I also go out of my way to bring a wide variety of games so there is always a game to play you will be comfortable with.
If you've gone before and there is a specific game you'd like to play again, let me know in the comments here and I'll make sure it's in the bag.

Break the Bubble is a meetup group that draws big crowds to brewery taprooms (and roomy coffee shops!) in the Twin Cities.
Our next event is Saturday morning (February 1st) at SK Coffee in St. Paul. It's in the lobby of Vandalia Tower, so there is plenty of space for everyone to join us. No fee to attend, just show up, put on a nametag, buy a cup of coffee, and start chatting. It's that easy! See you soon!

Don't know if I'm allowed to ask this here, but I've been trying to get my brother out of the house. He's 22 and he has no social life at all. I desperately need something for him to do every single day. He's on the autism spectrum and I would have him just get a job but I've tried that and I just don't think it's going to work for him. I don't want to put him in a program that specifically for autistic people because he'll know that it's specifically for autistic people and then he'll feel like I'm insulting him. I just want him to go hang out and make friends and not be cooped up at the house. He doesn't really like nerd things. I thought about trying to get him into d&d and he won't budge. He likes man things like fishing and hiking and I don't do that. I don't leave the house. Anyways if I can't post this here I'll just delete it. If anyone has any suggestions for something I could take him to and then just leave him there and then maybe come back in like 4 hours or something. I just need him out the house.
I would also like to add that he is "High functioning". So he's able to do and understand alot. He struggles with meeting new people and knowing his limits.
He really likes to go to the gym but he kind of overworks himself. He'll like pull a muscle or something. So I don't like to leave him there unsupervised, but I really hate being at the gym.
I'm a massive nerd and I literally look like a stereotypical nerd I don't go to the gym I also don't leave the house. But he like wants to go do things, like outside. I need for him to have friends he can do that with.
I’m new to the neighborhood and noticed there are so many bars within the miles radius! I’m not a big drinker but love to order soda … maybe a beer and read one of my favorite books!
Sometimes on my phones so if anyone wants to strike up a conversation…
Overall, I’m a social butterfly and figured NE residents love to go to the bar so count me in!
Curious, who goes there on the regular so I have someone to talk to .. I’m new to NE Minneapolis ?
I have a high table across from the empanadas stand in the main seating area next to the self serve taps. You can find me wearing a red/black sweater and glasses with a cribbage board laid out on the table.
This is a weekly meetup dedicated to casual games of individual and team cribbage as well as good conversation. Players of all experience levels are welcome, and we are more than happy to teach those who want to learn!
MYM is close by Surly Brewing with a large parking lot and is close by a lightrail station. I typically bring a board or two with cards but you’re welcome to bring your own.
I will update this post with a table location about 15 minutes prior to the start time. Feel free to show up and leave whenever you’d like- I will be around for the duration of the time window.
See you there!
Hi! 21 NB here from st paul. My bf just left out of town and it made me realize I don't really have any friends😅. Not really a SAHM since I'm not a mom but I guess I could say I'm a "stay at home partner" and I can't drive so I'm pretty much always inside everyday unless me and my bf go out for groceries. I'm a full time babysitter as well so I have kids keeping me busy every day so I didn't really think much about how little of a social life I have. My interests are the zoo, horror movies, picnics, cooking, swimming, biking, baking, hosting things like parties, thrifting, and at the moment my favorite artist is Quail P. At the moment I'd love a calling buddy! I'm not the best at expressing everything through texts but I am a professional yapper when I'm actually speaking lol. I also have discord if anyone would like to chat there😊
This is an open invite to join me at Dreamers Vault in St Louis Park, Friday January 24th to play boardgames. I will arrive around 6pm and play 15-30 minute games with whoever is there. At 7pm we'll decide what longer games to play. You'll know me by my bald head, bushy beard, and Costco/Ikea bag of games. I will grab a table at the front of the store on the room with the windows facing the street.
If you're hesitating because you're not already into boardgames and we'll have to explain the rules to you, don't worry. I need to explain the rules to everyone basically every time. Join us for a hike along the 9 mile creek trail in Bloomington. We will do an approximately 4 mile hike from the Harrison picnic grounds to the Minnesota River and back. Hike is mostly flat and paved for about half the way. Come and join us, have some great conversation, and do something good for your health on a winters day. Feel free to DM me with questions.
*edit
No need to sign up, just come on by, meet in the parking lot and join us for the hike. We will start walking around 10:10 or so.
If you're interested in American mahjong, join us at BlackStack Brewery on Friday, Jan 24th!
This is for newbies or beginning players. More advanced are welcome, but expect beginner pace of play. We will probably have a mix of abilities. Depending on how many show up, we'll pair up players (total beginners with more advanced) then move on to individual play. We'll figure it out as we go, depending on the number and play level of attendees.
We have up to 3 mahjong sets available and up to 4 can play per set. Let me know if you are interested!
The group was very mixed: both male and female, and age range from mid 20s to about 60. All are welcome!
Where: BlackStack Date: Friday. Jan 24th Time: 6:30
Hope to see you there!
If anyone is interested in continuing to play or wants to join a future game here is a link to the discord: https://discord.gg/eQNK5TusS8 I

Bring your best vegan chili or super bowl appetizer and have fun with friends while we watch adorable puppies/kittens and dogs/cats get up to all their crazy shenanigans on the field!
Things start at 11am with the kickoff of the 3rd annual The Great American Rescue Bowl (cats/dogs) before moving into Puppy Bowl XXI which starts at 1pm! There will be multiple rooms with TVs playing the events so there is plenty of room for everyone.
I will provide toppings for the chilis, but please let me know if there is anything specific you would like to bring. I will have cards so we can label if the dish contains gluten or any other allergens.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone!
Hello im a 25M just looking to make friends, preferably local so I can get out and do stuff, I don’t do much in the winter other than work and play my pc so I’m not very social, I like all music really, anything but country not too picky, i work with my hands for a living so I build a lot of stuff out of wood, love to fish and watch movies send a message :)
The table is the same location from last week, across from the Revival Meats stand in the main seating area. I’m wearing a green beanie and white knit sweatshirt, and you’ll see a board on the table!

Hi everyone. I'm M 47 (omg, how did that happen already?) in the Bloomington area. Single Dad, two teenage sons, if it matters to anyone. I've recently gotten back into Golden Tee Golf quite a bit, but that's something that isn't awful to do by myself, not that I wouldn't gladly play with friends.
I really miss having a partner or friend(s) to do other things with though. Roller skating, disc golf, movies (theater or at home), pool, and darts are all things I'd like to do more if I didn't have to do them by myself.
Some other tidbits to give you an idea of possible friendship compatibility:
I'm socially awkward and anxious. Have ADHD. Oversharer. Compassionate and loyal. Liberal. Sarcastic. Moderately skilled at most activities but amazing at none. Love animals, especially dogs. If you don't share any of my hobbies interests but want to hang out and let me pet your dog(s)/cat that still sounds pretty sweet.
Thanks for your time 🙂
I'm hosting a vegan dine out at Everest on Grand on Wednesday, February 19th at 6:30pm. Everyone is welcome! You do not need to be vegan to attend, but everything ordered at this event needs to be vegan. Please ask if you have any questions.
Check out their menu - they have a lot of really good options! To see which items are vegan click the "See MENU & Order" button to bring up another menu screen which includes dietary icons. Looks for the two leaves (when you hover over it will say vegan). The "V" icon is only vegetarian.

This is an open invite to join me at Fox Den in Burnsville, Friday January 17th to play boardgames. I will arrive around 6pm and play 15-30 minute games with whoever is there. At 7pm we'll decide what longer games to play. You'll know me by my bald head, bushy beard, and Costco/Ikea bag of games. I try to get a table closer to the food area, but still in the open area.
CROWD WARNING: I don't know how busy Fox Den will be this Friday as there is a Magic pre-release available. Normally on weekends like this I don't bother due to crowds, but the staff told me they are not holding a regular pre-release event this time. It's a more expensive set and Hasbro did not authorize prize support. They did say Hasbro wanted them to promote it with something so they may still be busier than normal. Just wanted to give fair warning in case someone considering their first time has crowd anxiety.

Hi all! I’m a 24F (25 in March), I’ve been in the south metro for 2.5 years now and have not had great luck meeting new people 😅 one of my goals this year is to get out more and meet more people!
A little bit about me: I have a cat named Stan. I love music and go to a lot of concerts, mainly rock but I like pretty much all genres besides country! Started collecting vinyls a year or so ago so love going to record stores! I don’t go out to bars much but if I do it’s definitely to a dive bar. Also enjoy a good brewery or distillery!
Feel free to message me! Open to all connections and looking forward to making some new friends :)
Hey all!
The response to our inaugural Women, Trans, and Nonbinary Dodgeball League registration has been absolutely amazing—thank you all for the incredible support! We've seen lots of Reddit users eager for a fun social sport this winter signing up, and we’re thrilled to share that we’re at 75 players with just 5 spots left before registration closes this Wednesday.
If you’ve been on the fence or are just now discovering our league, we’d love for you to join us! You can find all the registration details here:
https://minnesotadodgeball.com/winter-2025-wtnb/
In a time of so much division and intensity in our daily lives, we’re deeply committed to building a welcoming and vibrant community. Our league is here to provide a safe and fun space where this amazing community can come together to play dodgeball and connect. We hope to see you on the court!
*Please note that this league is specifically for Women, Trans, and Nonbinary individuals. It is not an exclusively She/They league or a women-only league. We welcome anyone who identifies as a cisgender woman, as well as all members of the trans and nonbinary communities. This may include players who may come across as male presenting but also self-identify as part of this community. While we embrace diverse gender identities across our various leagues, if you do not identify as a cisgender woman, trans, or nonbinary, we kindly ask that you explore our other league options.
Our table is located in the main seating area next to the Revival Smoked Meats stand. I’ll be wearing a red sweater and have cribbage boards set up on the table.
This is a weekly recurring meetup focused on casual cribbage games; if you’re interested in learning how to play you are more than welcome!
The venue is located a block away from Surly Brewing and has parking; it is also nearby a lightrail station. Food and drinks are sold inside but you’re not obligated to buy anything.
I will update this post with a table location 15 minutes prior to the start time. See you there!
P.S. thank you to those who kept it going while I was out with covid last week!
