Hello, we recently moved to central Tunbridge wells, and are looking for a good neighbourhood to bring the kids out for trick or treat. In our old area we lived in (south London) some streets were very good, while others didn’t seem to participate.
Any suggestions on a good collection of streets or a particular area to bring the kids to?
I have just moved to Tunbridge Wells and will be commuting into London one day a week. Has anyone figured out the cheapest way to commute in ?? I am going to Waterloo East.
Thanks !
Hi
This might be a bit of a long shot.......
I just heard on Radio 4 about the upcoming Subbuteo 'World Cup', and connected events, in Tunbridge Wells over the weekend. I've looked on the 'official' event sites about attending as a spectator, they're not that informative.....
Does anyone know if someone can attend as a spectator? Don't mind buying a ticket etc.
Looks like they're happening at Victoria Place, and a sports centre.
Thanks!
If you are interested in learning and practicing Brazilian Jiujitsu, come to the Tunbridge Wells Sports Centre every Saturday from 11:00 to 12:00. You'll learn an effective martial art, using the force of your opponents gainst them, while also having a great workout and lots of fun.

Considering moving to Tunbridge Wells, I’m looking at Kent as a whole and was wondering what the night life is like in the town, and how late the trains run from London
Been to Tunbridge Wells a few times over the years and I really like it.
Apologies in advance to anyone who lives in HB, but I've never heard anyone say anything particularly complimentary about HB. Those who live in TW, would you choose to live there if you ever found an amazing house with more space?
Update: thanks all for the responses so far.
Hello, we are a group of psychology researchers from the University of Kent, UK. It would be a huge help if anyone from Britain who is interested would fill out our quick survey (18+ years old only) about your views of refugees.
Fill out the survey here: https://universityofkent.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_4U6y8pi1se8YjrM
We are posting here because we hope to collect responses from British participants with various political perspectives and backgrounds. Please let us know if you would like a summary of your responses once the data collection is complete.
The survey takes ~7 minutes to complete, and we are happy to respond to any queries or questions. Please private message us to avoid giving away the point of the study to others.
Thanks for your time.
Edit: The survey is now closed! Thank you very much for your time.
Looking for a broadband provider recommendation please, near the town centre. Thank you
Can anyone recommend a good place to go for a first date in Tunbridge Wells??
Hi everyone!
I’m house hunting in Tunbridge Wells and a lot of places I am seeing in my price range are in the St James area. When I Google st James, a lot of information comes up saying it’s not safe/not a great area. However, when I go there, there are cute shops and bars and it seems ok.
Can I get an opinion of St James from the locals?
Thanks
I'm trying to locate a lady called Miriam who is a vicar in the Tunbridge Wells are, Does anyone have a telephone number for her? It's important. Thankyou
Does anyone know where there are ANPR cameras? I have a collection order on my car which I'm disputing, but whilst I wait for it to be sorted, I need to know where they are!
We are coming to Tunbridge Wells in December to do the Polar Express experience that goes from Tunbridge Wells West.
I'm looking at booking the Travel Lodge on Mount Ephraim for the one night we will stay as its a fair bit cheaper than the Premier Inn for our dates. That would mean the quickest walking route to the station would take us through the common.
On the way there we will probably go at about 3pm, but after the experience we will probably eat at Smith & Western & walk back to the hotel after that, which would likely be after 9pm.
Is it safe to walk through the common at this time of night in the dark? Is it lit up at all? It looks to be a fairly long walk if sticking to the main roads otherwise. There are two families, so 4 adults & 3 kids aged 3, 8 and 9.
Thanks
Just the title really, what's a nice place to watch the games? Not just England matches either... Ideally not too rowdy but obviously it's a national tournament so understand it being busy!
Hi all, can anyone recommend a good garage to take my car to in the TW area for a misc rattling coming from the back?
Moved here recently and haven't had a haircut in ages, any recommendations for Barbers, I get a tight skin fade cut and a good trim on top, the beard also get done too
Walking past the Italian deli yesterday and today What happened? Looks like the door was broken from the state of the lock. Yesterday morning I saw a man sat inside with his head in his hands.
I am visiting with my wife as we won a hotel night in Tunbridge Wells this Friday evening .
We are only staying one night and it’s a fair drive so won’t have long but want to make the most of our stay. We will likely spend one day just checking out the town and local shops.
What are your recommendations on what else we should try and see while we are there?
I’d love to hear your ideas of things we could see while we are there that we won’t be able to see elsewhere.
Thanks
We are considering moving to TW with my husband, and would love some advice: which areas of TW are best to live in? We are looking for quiet, close to the train station, buildings with high ceilings (it might sound strange but it is a thing)
Hi there! My colleague is living in TW and we collected some money to get her a gift after welcoming a baby. Problem is, I’m from Germany and have no idea what’s good :) from what I found out Juliet’s might be great, but I’d like to get a second voucher for something else as well as it’s quite some money. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! ♥️
As per title, needed for a craft project and would return within the fortnight. Thanks
Hi there,
I (24 Male) am looking to potentially get a small place in Tunbridge Wells or Tonbridge and would appreciate any help/advice.
For context I've lived in Horsham, West Sussex most my life (with a stint in SW London) and desperate for a change/fresh start. My family have moved away, but I am keen to stay this side of the Thames, close-ish to London.
My life definitely orientates around sports (Charlton fan) and I would like to live in a place that has a half reasonable nightlife (pubs, bars) and people of similar age/interests to make friends with, considering I will be starting from afresh and I work remotely.
Tunbridge Wells seems a great town on previous visits/research but if you have any advice on areas to avoid, things to do, your experience, if it is good for my age & interests, that would be great.
Thanks for your time!
