Hey guys m 25 looking for peeps who like to play punk and alternative music, I’m just tryna jam some punk tunes lol
Hi everyone, a grad student here from Boston studying conditions of food insecurity around the Central Valley. I've posted this question in a few other subreddits, so apologies for cluttering your feed if you've already encountered it elsewhere.
For context, I'm understanding "food insecurity" to describe a state of being unable to have access to the food an individual of household need to be healthy. This can be a product of grocery cost, being unable to access a grocery store due to distance or ability or a number of other factors, sometimes compounded. If you are aware of other factors (or combination of factors) that might subject people in the Central Valley to food insecurity, I would be interested to hear about them.
Understanding that food insecurity is a complex condition resulting from many overlapping variables, I was curious to post here asking if anyone has some insights, observations or personal experiences they'd be willing to share about food security in California, especially in the Central Valley. While counties in the valley produce a huge amount of the nation's crops, I am aware that food insecurity levels in the region are very high, fresh produce can be hard/expensive to purchase and some agricultural areas have actually become food deserts.
Statistics can only say so much, and I'm looking to get a bit more of human understanding about what food insecurity looks like and how it manifests in people's lives beyond the politics and associations society often projects. I understand this is an incredibly personal topic loaded with a lot of baggage in our country, but if anyone would like to offer an opinion about this, share their experience or note any sources of information which might be helpful, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

I currently have AT&T and the service is subpar. Currently only getting 20-50mb download speeds and have constant lag spikes and disconnections in certain areas of my house.
What are some solid fast internet providers in this area?? Are there any websites or apps that can help me find the strength/speeds of different ISP's??
A door to door salesman from comcast/xfinity knocked on my door and claimed to have a strong signal in the area of up to 300 mb for $30 a month (after 2 years price increases to $60). Sounds like a solid deal but I want to do some research before justifying the switch. Can anyone with xfinity vouch for them or tell me their experience??
I compared a few ISP's and frontier had a fairly similar if not better deal than xfinity but would love to know the signal strength in the area before switching?? Anyone with Frontier have a good experience and fast speeds??
Im genuinely curious since I only go to planet fitness. Although I believe that summer program is a great idea for high schoolers, the gym is crazy packed now. I’m looking for a new gym now.
Just throwing an invite out since I have no one in my personal circle that would just like to nonchalantly throw the football around. Any takers? I can go to any park in Tulare.
Anyone live in their homes? Pros/cons? Looking to buy
I had the most fantastic experience with them! I called them because my A/c was not working to standard and they set up a time (same day) and showed up right on the dime! Not only was their promptness impressive, but their cost breakdown and various innovative solutions they offered made me feel like a valued customer. They were very descriptive in the many solutions they offered that focused on my main concern - which was cost. After conversing for a bit we went with the option that best suited my budget and WOW am I pleased! I had to throw on a long sleeve on while in this 105 degree day! They were very innovative and knowledgeable in their field. 12 out of 10 would definitely recommend!! They can be reached @ (559) 528-5137. You won’t be disappointed!
anyone know gas stations with 93 octane gas in tulare or around here?
It's going to be in Tulare in a few days.
The event was here in Bakersfield today and it was garbage. Very low quality. Not worth $25
Some bought tickets and were refused entry or refund. Others got caught in pepper spray due to cops dealing with some kids and had to leave, also refused refund. They ran out of tickets and didn't tell anyone.
Both my wife and I left warnings on the Facebook page and we've been blocked and our comments removed.
Don't go. Warm others. It's a ripoff.
They got so many negative comments they closed the Facebook page and opened a one by the same name but with a II at the end.
I go to school for welding I’ve been attending since October but I’ve been struggling with gas money and food money we are on welfare buts it’s not enough I need a job as anything at this point. Any help would be very much appreciated I’m also somewhat fit I go to the gym and have done labor jobs so I don’t mind anything that might be intense!
I'm trying to find 2 friends of mine. One is named Amy Munson, she used to work with me at McDonald's in Tulare. The other one, I can't remember her name, but she was almost hit by a big black car at Taco Bell there in Tulare back in 1989. I'm really hoping to find both of them.
Very happy about Race communications adding their fiber lines here in Tulare. Been wanting to get rid of Xfinity for the longest now but there was no competition until now.

Hopefully the pricing is competitive as well. The offer internet, TV, and phone as well.
Considering moving but I’ve heard tulare and kern county have a lot of gang violence and general crimes. I’ve visited a few times and it seemed okay but Im met with a lot of “YOU WANT TO MOVE THERE??” When i mention it. So if any residents know if I should be worried or any cities that are safer around the area
