Will Oregon truffles be cheaper than European truffles? Are they worth it?

I love truffles, but they're so expensive. I was hoping there would be certain varieties that are more affordable . I was thinking of Chinese truffles, but I heard those suck. Anyone have a website where I can order Oregon truffles? Are they any good? I'm in the US so it would be domestic shipping.

Vegetarian truffle recipes?

I have a few small jars of Italian black truffles from when I used to cook meat at home, but I don't any longer. I'm always at a loss for how to use them. All I can think of are (1) roasted potatoes, and (2) some creamy pasta, whether dairy-based or vegan. Any other thoughts?

Looking for advice

Hi, friend. I am an entrepreneur from the south of Chile, I am dedicated to the production of black truffles, this is a very good business, production grows year after year, a year ago I harvested 45 kilos, last season I harvested 78 kilos. Next year I think I will exceed 120 kilos. Due to the number of trees, it should produce approximately 220 kilos per year in the next 4 years. The business is very profitable given the low production costs, but it took 9 years to start producing, which left debts from the past. I have been able to pay off a large part of those debts, but now I am about to lose everything. I need $30,000 to save all these years of hard work. That's why I'm looking for someone who wants to invest in me. Can you help me with any advice?

Looking for a partner

I have an import company for fresh seasonal truffles from Italy. We want to break into the Las Vegas market. We are looking for someone that is plugged into the local restaurant and culinary community that is interested in partnering with us. This is a high margin business. If anyone knows someone looking for an opportunity please have them contact me. marco@terra-truffles.com

Do truffles go bad in oil?

I put a sliced black truffle in olive oil, and it looks like this after 20 days. Is it moldy? Can I still eat it?

Tree Inoculation - can you treat an existing trees, and will the mycelia spread?

I have a lot of trees on my property that initial research indicates are favorable to hosting truffles. However, the obvious problem is that they are already there, and all of the versions I've seen of "grow truffles on your property" involve buying already inoculated saplings. Can you treat existing trees in some way or introduce truffle spores so that the trees will become truffle host trees? Also, if you have truffle-compatible trees growing in an area with a truffle colony in its midst, will the truffles eventually spread to those other non-inoculated trees?

Is this a truffle?

It was found at the base of a tree (not sure if pecan, but going back to check). If so, my concern is that it is in a dog park...ick..

Update: Sorry, issue adding pic. Hopefully this works https://imgur.com/a/k39bB96

Does anybody can recommend material on truffle cultivation?

Hey, I hope everybody is doing fine...I am actively looking to invest in truffle cultivation. I am from a place, where the altitude and soil are ideal. I am in the phase of information hunting, and I want to be thorough, I don't mind the difficulty in a book, it can get pretty scientific, actually the more scientific the better. Or even papers on truffle cultivation.

I appreciate any help you can provide.
