Hoping for recs that don't have one-dimensional women.

I'm also horrible with remembering names and terms - I think that's why I don't read a lot of books from this genre.

I've seen this in a few places on reddit, and I thought it would be fun to see what everyone here has read this year. I've received most of my best recommendations from perusing the discussions here and I would love to hear what you guys think about my selections or could offer similar or better ones.
