I have experience in athletic operations as director , no degree. Am 23 year old, and looking to make the move to Raleigh and eventually once job opens up in spring in the sports realm for it since there’s like none open right now within sports operations. So from Jan to then what’s something I could do and live off , making $44k or more ???
Greetings everyone, I’m an international student graduating this January, and I’m planning to relocate to the Triangle area to be closer to my family. As a biology major with 5 months of research experience, I’m seeking medical-related employment opportunities to accumulate clinical hours. However, I’ve noticed that many positions, such as Medical Assistant or Lab Technician, require certifications I don’t currently possess. I’ve learned from the premed community that some employers offer on-the-job training in exchange for a one-year commitment, which I’m open to. I’m wondering if anyone can suggest medical-related positions suitable for someone with my background: • Biology major • 5 months of research experience • Experience as a counselor • 5 consecutive months shadowing doctors in wound care for the homeless in San Diego If you know of any opportunities or have advice on how to approach this job search, I’d greatly appreciate your input. Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi all,
I know the job market is pretty messy right now with the state of the economy and the number of fake job postings but I’m desperate. I’m trying to find a job for my mother, preferably something administrative/clerical. She’s 56 and I know her age is working against her, even though she has the relevant skills. We’ve been in a tight spot since my father suddenly passed away. I am 27 and supporting our family of 3 solo but my salary is barely getting us by.
I’ve tried applying her to all of the usual spots, UNC Med/campus, any administrative position on indeed and roles through NC Works. She has minimal background in Payroll and a lot of experience working as an assistant for EC Departments with Chatham County Schools (I’ve already reapplied her through their portal but haven’t heard back). Does anyone maybe have any advice or leads for an administrative assistant? We’re located in Pittsboro, so anything closer to CH or Durham preferred, but open to anything. Any help would be appreciated!!
Hi r/TriangleJobs! The company I'm with in Cary is looking for a new Azure Engineer to join the team. This is an in-office position to expand our current Azure team, and to work alongside our sales and support teams. The company is small, so the position will have a good degree of flexibility. Pay ranges from $100-$200K depending on experience, with relocation assistance to Raleigh, NC, and great benefits. (I'm biased, but they're better benefits I've had previously.)
We are looking for someone who can own their customer engagements including architecture, implementation, and production. Because of this, we are really looking for someone with great customer-facing experience/skills, and success in leading in-depth technical discussions with senior executives.
If you have any questions or want to apply, chat or PM me and I'll share my email for you to send your resume.

My wife and I own a small construction company based out of Wake Forest and have grown to a point where we could use some help in/around the office. We’ve had trouble finding good help in the traditional places, (LinkedIn, indeed, referrals) and thought I would try Reddit.
The challenge of being such a small business is the role isn’t clearly defined and we need a little help in a lot of areas. We really need someone that can come in and keep themselves busy by finding ways to help out and grow the business with us with less direction than traditional roles.
I totally understand this is probably a big ask and I’m crazy to have these expectations. This is the reason why we always put off posting an ad and interviewing candidates. We go back and forth with holding off until we are sure we have clearly identified roles and procedures set in place before bringing someone into the fold.
With that said, we have a hard time keeping up as it is and it’s hard to find the time to get to that place where we feel ready. So maybe part of the role is developing the role, is that unfair? Probably not.
Some job responsibilities, experience and skills needed that we know for sure:
Spearhead Marketing efforts (social, google ads, events, maybe mailers or other ways to generate leads)
Must be strong with computers and communication (excel, CRM, emails, some graphic design for ads/social media posts)
Answering the phone, customer service
Meeting with scheduled customers or walk-ins and showing them around the showroom
General Administrative tasks (handling and managing building permits, inspections, invoices, contracts, etc.)
Willingness to grow with us as a company
Unfortunately, we don’t offer benefits right now but we can offer competitive compensation based on experience. Maybe a good fit for someone that has health insurance, etc through other means or spouse.
Please feel free to ask questions or DM if interested yourself or someone you know.
TYIA
EDIT: This position has been filled. Thanks for your interest!

Schedule details: Standard M-F business hours. The team works onsite on Tuesdays and are remote the rest of the week.

Hi everyone! We've partnered with a small, innovative hardware company in the thermal control space in Durham to find them a short-term W2 consultant to help them work through a backlog of mechanical engineering design work.
Requirements: This role is designed for an experienced Mechanical Engineer. Candidates should have a relevant Bachelor's degree and 5-7+ years' experience. Knowledge of Solidworks and a relevant PDM tool like Arena or Solidworks PDM are required. Experience designing products is ideal. Prior experience in cooling or thermal control is strongly preferred.
Schedule details: While the ideal candidate can do a 9-5 M-F schedule to overlap with the rest of the local team, the company is open to a part-time schedule that also overlaps at least partially with the rest of the local team.
Location requirement: Occasional onsite work in Durham is required to interface directly with proprietary hardware, but much of the role can be done from your home office.
Work details: This is a W2 contract opportunity; expected contract duration is between 60-90 days depending on work volume. Contract extension is unlikely as this is a short-term need. Hourly W2 pay rate is $58 - $73 depending credentials and experience, and may be flexible.

Hello, I am trying to help my friend find some work. She recently moved here with some family and is struggling trying to find work, mainly because she only speaks Spanish currently. Does anyone have recommendations for work for people with only Spanish? Shes done work at Walmart before but apparently they were not the kindest and did not pay well. She is doing work at a factory now but from what she tells me she doesn't like it, and it seems slightly unsafe. Any jobs or helpful info to point me in the right direction would be appreciated, I would like to help her find some work.
Hello! I'm a 28 year old trans woman and finding a career is a pretty challenging endeavor even before factoring in being "different" in society's eyes (honestly I'm pretty boring in my own POV). I have a bachelor's degree but it's in history so it's not super marketable. I decided not to become a teacher like I'd planned when I was younger and it hasn't been as easy to find an alternate path as my naive younger self assumed it would be. I worked for a few years after graduation as a hotel night auditor doing front desk + some basic accounting stuff before moving to Raleigh. I currently work as a barista/trainer at Starbucks, but to be frank I'm not earning enough to comfortably support myself long-term.
Does anyone have any leads? I'm pretty open to anything career-oriented and I'm willing to learn new skills if anyone is willing to train. I've applied for countless government jobs and pursued positions in things like museums, copyediting, accounting, etc. but I just never even manage to get interviews anywhere, so I need to broaden my scope. Any leads or advice would be appreciated. It doesn't have to be glamorous.
