I have Dirigera hub with latest fw and latest Android app and an old Tradfi hub. while Dirigra hub has option to check hub firmware it doesnt actually check for any connected product fw updates. Bought few new Tretakt smart plugs and Dirigra shows fw 2.4.4 as up-to-date. i connected one of them to Tradfri hub and immediately it updated to 2.4.25. After pairing updated plug with Dirigera, now shows 2.4.25 up-to-date, while all other ones stay at 2.4.4. When will Dirigera hub support fw updates for connected products? The up-to-date label is clearly without any meaning.
I took over a flat with some pax wardrobes with what I believe is older versions of the ansluta / tradfri system. Motion sensors. After moving the wardrobes around a bit, and splitting them in different rooms, I am now short one of the drivers, but I cant find it online, as I dont know what its called… I also recently bought another new version of the pax with oversidan, all great and working on its own, but unfortunately it uses what I think is called a JST connector, not the one in the picture. Any ideas / help welcome! I would ideallz not replace the 3 lights that are not working, just find a way to connect them.
Hi all,
Thanks for this great community. It's very helpful and I enjoy learning about the products.
My apartment has a large number of GU10 lights in the ceiling. I want to replace them with the new GU10 smart lights and pair to Dirigera hub. There are 15 lights to set up. Can I just put them all in the ceiling and turn the switch off and on 6 times and then set them all up in the app? Or do I need to set one up, remove it from the ceiling, set another one up, remove it from the ceiling... etc... that would be annoying
Appreciate any insights or guidance. I've tried searching here and the broader internet with no luck on an answer. Thank you in advance.
edit - thanks so much everyone for the help. looks like we should be good for the bulk add. I’ll update this to confirm it worked.
I’m thinking of purchasing a some inexpensive LED strip lights (RGBWW) online and I'm hoping to connect them to my IKEA TRÅDFRI driver. I'm not sure if this is even possible, and if it is, I'm unsure about the process and what products I might need.
My questions are:
Is it possible to connect inexpensive LED strip lights to the IKEA TRÅDFRI driver?
If it's possible, how do I go about doing it?
What specific products would I need to purchase to make this work?
Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Hi all,
So I have a few Tradfri bulbs that have been giving me grief. I have a bunch of the standard multicolour bulbs connected (via zigbee) directly to my Alexa Echo. Most of the time they have no issues, but every now and then, when they are set to warm white, they will turn on to a state that is almost pure red. It will show as warm white in the app, despite being a very different part of the spectrum.
Has anyone had any issues like this?
Hi there - I bought a new Dirigera which arrived today. I installed everything according to the app explanations. However, I can't get it to run the mandatory initial update. I have tried:
None of these approaches worked. I can only imagine a faulty device or update servers which are down. My internet runs flawlessly otherwise.
SOLVED!
So I changes to yet another switch, remote from the main switch. It seems that my mobile devices connected through the remote switch and the Dirigera over the main. For some reason, this led to them not talking to each other, a problem I never has with any other setup or device. By changing to the remote switch and thus forcing both devices to the same physical network device, this somehow solved my issue.
Before buying the Vallhorn motion sensor, I would like to know if the lux sensor is being exposed to HomeKit.
I'm thinking about simplifying my aging Zigbee setup. Currently I use a Raspbee, with deCONZ and Homebridge so my family can easily control lights from Apple Home. I have the lights grouped with the remotes, so the remotes still work when my Raspbee is offline, similar to how TRADFRI offered this in the past.
When DIRIGERA first arrived I saw many posts mentioning issues with controlling lights when the hub is powered off or otherwise unreachable. Is this still the case or has this been resolved and can I set remotes up to directly control the lights?
Also, can I control all connected accessories though Apple Home? Including older TRADFRI lamps?
The light and switches in question are all IKEA TRADFRI, nothing recent.
For a couple of weeks now, scenes with blinds in them have been flaking in a very specific way. One or two blinds will fail to change with the scene. In the app it will notify of an “Unexpected Error” and present “Try Again” or “Dismiss” buttons.
Retry never works. Changing the blind manually using the app (or Alexa) works fine as expected, this is only an issue with Scenes.
Is this just me? Am I going crazy? I tried power cycling the repeater but there was no change.
I am thinking about changing some of our lights and also getting some light strips and whatnot for home automation. So far we have Philips hue hub/lamps and also some Meross plugs. But I am looking to have a unified solution and thought to check if it make sense to buy the ikea hub, lamps and switches. Are there other solutions with similar price and quality but tighter integration into apple/google and maybe open protocols or IKEA is the only choice?
On my latest trip to Ikea I noticed that the new Vallhorn motion sensor was not availible, but that the old Tradfri sensor (which previously wasn't availible in my store) was for sale. I checked on the Ikea Switzerland website, and it is on sale, but at a discount. It's also not availible in many stores across the country, which leads me to believe Ikea is slowly destocking the Vallhorn due to its unreliability such as false positives. Is this also happening in other countries? Has Ikea issued some sort of statement?
TLDR: Is the Vallhorn motion sensor getting discontinued?
Since a big company likea Ikea has no official bug submission or support contact page, I’ll post here.
After the last 2 or 3 updates of the Ikea app, the sliders if bulbs or blinds on homekit don’t work anymore. Only on/off works, can’t adjust specific % like in the past for blinds. If I set the % brightness for bulbs, it doesn’t respond.. etc.
Dirigera hub, all is updated. Everything worked flawlessly aprox. one month ago.
Hey there,
I'm trying to get this sorted since beginning of the year but it seems the bug in the handling of transition times is in the firmware of my bulbs and not in the zigbee2mqtt bridge.
As I mentioned in this and this issue at zigbee2mqtt, setting zero transition times in order to get proper colorful signaling effects the effect time actually results in being one second long.
It is not possible to set a negative transition time so I'm currently stuck with 1 second of transition, which especially bugs me on the LED1923R5 (firmware 1.0.021) as the non-rgb variant LED2005R5/LED2106R3 (firmware 3.0.10) does properly set the transition to 0 when set to 0.
I hoped to to get this sorted now with the support of IKEA or the community here. Thanks in advance!
Hi guys, new to all this. I'm thinking of getting the Dirigera hub as I own the tradfri bulbs in the hallway.
What I want to do is have it on all the time in the evening at a low brightness and then when the motion detector detects someone, it increases the brightness for a limited time(1-5mins?) then after that period of no motion it reduces the brightness back to what it was previously.
Is this possible with the Dirigera hub and the ikea motion sensor? Thanks
I have two TVARDRAG lights, one Tradfri driver, and one Dirigera hub. The hub has been installed and configured. I can see it on my network. It has been integrated into Apple Homekit.
I am using an iPhone to pair the lights with the hub. The latest version of the Smart Home app has been installed.
Following the procedure found in the app, I cannot pair the lights with the hub. What am I doing wrong?
I have 2 outlets, both produce noise, when not active.
Part number(on both): 2337,
Hi,
I've bought a lot of GU10:s to use with my Philips Hue, but 2 of them don't light up when starting them through Hue Brigde+Hue App. These 2 bulbs are on version 3.0.8, vs the rest of them are on version 1.1.20.
As far I as understand 3.0.8 should be a newer version, thus one could guess it would be the ones working. I guess updating the bulbs won't fix the issue since the newer version is the problem. Any ideas on what I could do?
I am no longer using my Tradfri hub, bulb or smart plug. Has anyone had luck selling this stuff? I tried eBay with no luck.

Hi there, am I dumb or is there no possibility to pause and unpause existing scenes?
I use the scenes to turn on and off my lights when I am abroad (mimic presence). Thus, currently I delete my scenes and recreate them every time.
Thanks!
I have had Trafford gateway for some time now. Until recently it has worked with Google home. But has stopped connecting to devices in the last week or so.
I disabled and re-enabled the integration IKEA app (Home Smart 1 - Tradfri). It says the integration is active but not appearing in Google. If I try re-add via Works with Google, I re-opens the integration page in ikea app but doesn’t do anyone. If I go back to google, it’s still on page with you select the ikea app. If I select again, it repeats the above loop.
I tried uninstalling the ikea app. Then Google Home prompts for a passcode from Ikea App. But points out that’s it’s not required if I have version 1.24, which I do. But I can’t submit or progress without a passcode or installing the app, which brings me back to the loop.
About to give up
Does anyone know? Supposedly you should use a two pole switch for some LED lightning and other equipment, and it would be nice to know if this switch acts as a two pole switch.

No Badring water sensors yet at my local Ikea in the US. Anyone have any idea when they're coming to the US?
Does anyone know if it's possible to use Ikea tretakt without a hubb to set times for when it should turn on and off? If there is any app that allows this without the hubb or is the hubb absolutely necessary?
I just purchased four new Tradfri outlets to add to the two I already have in my house. With all four of them, I set them up and they connected just fine. Then they automatically updated and after the update, they show offline no matter what I do. Has anyone run into this?
We know Dirigera can work as a Matter Bridge, to import Ikea Smart Devices into a Matter ecosystem. But that's unclear if in the future Dirigera could also work as a Matter Hub to connect devices that support the standard. Does it support Bluetooth as well as WiFi and Thread? Latest Ikea smart products are good, but would be useful to be able to mix with other Matter products in some cases.
