Hi
I have to move and will build a new Home in HomeKit. Until now I have used Dirigera in HomeKit via the standard integration.
What do I actually gain using the new Matter method instead?
Any instability / issues in the Matter Method?
br Lars
Hi everyone.
I've had a 100x40 panel for a ferw months that works great with no perceivable noise. It was actually a discounted damaged box unit and when I bought I already anticipated it could have been a return due to the noise issue. But, instead, it's been a flawless experience.
Since I really like the product, I bought a second one. This time the 60x60 version.
This could be a recent batch, I guess, since they've been unavailable for months and a few dozens became available in the store near me just the other day.
Unfortunately, this new unit has a clear noise issue (coil whine, buzzing). Audible at around 100% but especially around 48%. Reading about the issue online, I could see people mentioning they have the 60x60 version but I couldn't find any evident correlation with the 100x40 unit.
So, I'm wondering if this issue only affects the square version of the panel.
As such, if you have a JETSTRÖM panel, I'd like to hear about your experience, if you hear any noise and which version you have. In particular, if any of you have a 100x40 panel with clear discernible noise issues, that would immediately invalidate my assumption.
Thank you for your input.
This is a video demonstrating the noise at 48%. It's recorded very close so it's exacerbated, but you can clearly hear it in a quiet room. The same, albeit slightly lower, can be heard at around 95%-100%. Changing the color temperature doesn't make any difference.

Are there any plans to add start and stop triggers based on current spot price in selected energy region?
Some potential features. . .
I know there is a workshop feature to allow Vallhorn to trigger a scene. That's great. It would be even better if it could trigger a different scene when the timer expires, rather than just having it turn the light off.
It would be nice to be able to drill down further into the menu, and allow for individual control of lights that are part of a set. Right now, if I have a set that consists of 10 lights, and I navigate to the products page, and open the set I've created, it shows me what looks like a button that says "10 products". Clicking on it does nothing.
It would be nice if I could then click on that, and be given the option to select an individual light from that set, and control it separately.
Right now, I haven't noticed a way to control lights independently from the app once they have been allocated to a set.
I have iPhone + Inspelning energy monitor plug + Dirigera hub, and the plug only shows On / Off switch in the IKEA Home smart app, no energy monitor function. I also have Home Kit integration enabled if that is relevant at all.
How can I make energy monitor function work in IKEA Home smart app or better - HomeKit / iOS Home app.
Hello, I am opening new post, because I found only 2 years old discussions to this topic which did not answer my questions.
I am planning to buy DIRIGERA hub and TRETAKT smart plugs and connect plugs and TRADFRI bulbs I own to hub, and then link hub to Apple Home.
I have few questions:
1.) can I connect the DIRIGERA hub to my router via wi-fi too, or only by ethernet cable?
2.) after the connection of plugs and bulbs to hub, and the linking the hub to Apple Home, will I be able to control devices directly via Apple Home buttons on iPhone Control Center?
3.) can I control these plugs and bulbs even when out of home remotely via internet connection?
Thank you in advance for replies, and sorry for opening another post for topic that was discussed previously in past.
Does INSPELNING provide a chart comparing month to month consumption? I seems to recall seeing a picture on this somewhere but can’t find it in the app.
Hi,
I'm looking for a smart socket with a power meter.
Unfortunately, INSPELNING is all out of stock.
Could anyone recommend an alternative Zigbee smart socket (with power meter), that works well with a Dirigera hub?
Cheers.
Are you planing on releasing a smart smoke detector for dirigera?
Hey all, I have one of these older Tradfri remotes which seems unable to switch my leds in kitchen off / on any more. I’ve tried new battery (although they’re cheapies) and it still has flashing red led after four presses of link button, but then does nothing.
I’m running three led strips and four led spots from a tradfri driver.
What are my options now? It seems Ikea don’t sell the wireless remote above any more, do I have to get the Dirigera hub and then something like the Rodret switch?
Trying to sort as cheaply as possible, as house is now listed for sale. I would pop into store, but it’s a ferry ride away 👎
Thanks in advance for any guidance
Two days ago all my Ikea trådfri lights just stopped working with Google Home. I can ask Home to turn on or off the lights and it says it does and I get the annoying “I turned off two lights in the living room” but the lights do not change. I removed the connection with Home smart and added it again. Same thing. Lights work fine with Apple HomeKit and in the home smart app so the bridge and lights are working fine. Any ideas?
My problem: Legacy G4 bulbs in fittings, built into wardrobes. I want to use IKEA Tradfri drivers to control and dim the lights, but IKEA don't make LED lamps that will fit the existing fittings. I can't change the fittings. If I buy dimmable non-IKEA G4 LED bulbs which I know will fit inside the fittings, will the IKEA Tradfri drivers give me the same functionality (wireless control, HomeKit etc) over those non-IKEA bulbs?
The support anywhere function in the ikea home app is not working since at least today. Tried update iOS, app, firmware, everything was already update since a few days ago. Tried in other devices without success. Anybody having the same problem? Any official message from IKEA?
Anyone else have the phenomenon, that the Alexa Home smart skills doesn’t work? I say something like: „Alexa, turn on the kitchen lights“. I also hear the conformation tone, but the the light doesn’t turn on. And in the Alexa app the buttons also don’t work. Over Home Assistant and Home Kit it’s working…
Already tried to remove the ikea account and relogin, but the problem stays.
Edit/Solution: power cycle the Dirigera hub…
Will 2 TRETAKT plugs fit next to each other in a standard US two plug outlet?
I have been searching for a temperature sensor with external probe and wide temperature range (-20 to 100 deg C). I found one from Owon. Has anyone tested this with Dirigera? Seems that it exists a second version of this sensor, THS317 ET TY, also implementing Zigbee 3.0 but compatible with Lidl/Tuya/smart Life. What is the reason for this?
Wanting to build a system, but can’t justify the cost of just going Hue. Most of what I read suggests IKEA is the way to go for VFM but for some rooms I want to ensure compatibility with adaptive lighting etc which means Hue or Nanoleaf for now. So I wondered if I’d be able to get a dirigera hub and then add various brands as I slowly build the system up.
I know these are being phased out, but if you see a sale on the old bulky TRADFRI outlets don't get tempted to get them.
Mine just started the infamous clicking (although with not as high frequency yet as seen on the usual videos). Weirdly, the DIRIGERA hub connected to it doesn't lose power. It was less than two years old, and half of the time it was even just in storage.
Regardless, it's obvious these have some sort of manufacturing defect, and a huge number of them end up malfunctioning.
Edit: Unplugged it for a few hours in hopes that it would resolve the issue. Just the opposite, when I replugged it back in, it had constant high frequency switching like in the other videos.
Hi All, I have Dirigeria hubs due to having 101 smart home devices (mainly bulbs). I can control everything using both the Ikea Smart App, Home App (iOS) and Siri when it wants to work. However for some reason I and unable to control all the bulbs on both hubs at the same time. In one room (lounge) I have 20+ ikea bulbs in a large light fixture, all these bulbs are linked to one of my two Dirigeria hubs - (hub 2)
I am unable to use either the Alexa app or voice commands to control the lights in this room. However both Ikea smart apps and home app work fine.
If I disable the skill and re-enable I receive two activation codes, if I insert the top one I can control the bulbs in the lounge room but lose control over a bunch (but not all) of the lights associated with the other hub.
If I use the other code the situation is reversed.
I find it odd that if I enter the code that gives me control over hub 2 I can control the lights in the lounge room but loose control over SOME of the other lights linked to Hub 1.
If Alexa didn’t support for multiple Dirigeria hubs I would have expected to loose control of all the lights connected to hub 1.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!

At work, the smart lighting setup makes use of 2 E1810 TRADFRI remotes that each control 8 compatible bulbs. IKEA no longer sells the E1810 model of Remote, what you can buy however is the new TRADFRI/DIRIGERA compatible STYRBAR remote, which according to IKEA customer support is cross-compatible. Is the new remote compatible with old DIRIGERA systems and E27 bulbs?
Hi guys
Im wondering if its possible to have a tradfri bulb paired with the dirigera bridge and a remote at the same time?
I have two leftover cables from the ORMANÄS after cutting them to adjust the length. Are they still usable for any purpose, or should I just discard them? Any creative ideas for repurposing them?
In the IKEA Home Smart app, I created the Matter Bridge and got the QR code. I copied the code and inside Smartthings -> Partner Devices -> Matter, I enter the code and I get a message saying You need a hub to connect to this device
Well... Dirigera is the hub, so I am lost on what to do next? Because I was easily able to connect to google home and alexa, but I really wanted to have Bixby routines.
I followed the steps on this guide: https://www.matteralpha.com/how-to/how-to-use-the-ikea-dirigera-with-matter
Hello,
at some point I have paired a non-Ikea 3 gang wall switch to Dirigera hub, but it never worked properly (firing all 3 lights on and off each time) I have returned the switch. How do I remove it from Ikea Home 2? Can't see the option anywhere, ikea helpline is helpless.
Hi
Does anyone know the (typical) IP address of the Tradfri E1526 gateway? The IKEA app cannot find the gateway so I am trying to connect manually.
Many thanks in advance!
Hi, I have Tradfri ON/OFF switches, and after connecting everything to Dirigera Hub I lost the ability to connect them directly to LED drivers or bulbs. I would like to have remotes paired to the bulbs or drivers directly, and bulbs/drivers connected to the hub so I can control them via app and create various scenarios.
I would like to have it this way in order to elliminate huge lag that there is between pressing remote and light action. Now it can be as long as 3 to 4 seconds, with the hub 60 cm away from Tradfri 30W LED Driver and 100 cm away from remote. When I had remote paired with driver there was nearly no lag in the system. Can this scenario be achieved with Dirigera hub?
I know this seems minor but I find it very annoying regardless.
I have enabled the Matter integration with HomeKit and am so far liking what I am experiencing. One of my favourites is being able to use the remotes in HomeKit.
Unfortunately though, to use them as a HomeKit switch, I need to disassociate them with devices via the Home Smart app to avoid conflicting and unwanted actions when they run simultaneously in HomeKit and Home Smart.
By not being linked up with any devices in Home Smart, the app see's them as devices that have not finished being setup. As a result, the app will constantly display the "Finish setting up your smart home" in yellow at the top of the screen.
I can see how this might be useful pre Matter integration but now that Matter integration exists, perhaps this app "feature" might benefit from having the option to be disabled? Unless there is a way to pair the remotes with HomeKit avoiding the Dirigera hub all together?
Has anyone else figured out a solution to this?
I have some wardrobe lights connected to a Tradfri LED driver, and a couple of old Tradfri sockets (with dumb lights connected to them). Could I control these independently with a Styrbar remote? Apologies I am unfamiliar with smart switches. I have a Tradfri gateway connected to a HomePod mini.
