So, I have a Trådfri light bulb and a Styrbar remote. When I try to connect them, it says in the app that the Trådfri can't be found. It does the pulsating and flashing thing and I can control the light with the remote, but the app says that the connection failed and hence it (trådfri) doesn't show up in the app. I've tried changing batteries in the remote, adding it without the remote and doing the process from start, but nothing seem to be working. Any ideas?
Hello I want to connect 4 led strips mottled {2x40+2x60) as a long strip to one Port ot the Tradfri 30W is this possible? Or do I have to use at least 2 ports?
Will the remote be able to control them separately if they are on different ports? As a single strip I understand they would work as a single light point.
Hi I‘m using the iOS IKEA Smart Home app for Drigera and successfully set up multiple scenes. However I am wondering how I can change the order in which they are shown on the apps Start screen.
I can change the names of the scenes and I can activate and deactivate IF they are shown in the start screen. But the sorting of scenes on the start screen appears to be in the order in which the scenes were created.
However in the scenes screen sorting is completely dependent on the name, which can be annoying too. For example my most used Scene that I want to access Quickly is named „TV lights“. For it to get on top within the scenes page for quicker access, I need to name it „1 TV lights“ or similar.
I think both places need an way to order your scenes.
Do I need the DIRIGERA hub even if I just want to manually dim the spotlights once?
This the simple setup I have currently:
I had it working previous, but since i moved and got a new internet provider and new router, i have not been able to get my Dirigera connected to Apple Homekit again.
When i moved, i performed factory reset on everything and started all over, and since, i have not been able to get it to work. I have been looking at my new router and maybe wondering if there where any security settings that blocked it from talking together.
I also see that my Ikea Smart Home app, takes a loot of time to connect and it looks like its doing it through the public access and not directly when im connected to wifi at home.
I feel like i have tried everything, but has kind of given up on it currently.....
INSPELNING's availability in Australia has been fairly limited since its launch. I subscribed to stock alerts via the website but its listing seems to have disappeared entirely now but is still listed on the other regional sites (US, EU, etc.)
Does anyone know if the product has been pulled from the Australian market?
It finally happened to me.. I’m stuck on an endless loop updating to 1.21.31..
Says update complete, then doesn’t connect until several minutes later, then you can kind of use it, while it is updating again unable to add devices, and then starts all over again..
Tried factory reset to no avail….
Hi, just installed tradfri 10w and 30w on my small kitchen. Everything seems to work fine, frist the area connected to 10w started blinking so i connected one 40cm to the 30w led adapter as well, should be well within 30w. (Small kitchen)
However, hearing a kind of high pitch sound when power is on, it disappears when brightness is Max. Also, the 30w adapter gets a little warm, not super warm but a little. Question is, is that dangerous/or is this normal behavior when dealing with mittled lights. Thank you all!
I’m trying to create the Matter Bridge using the Ikea Smart Home app but when I tap on the button, nothing happens.
Anyone else having the same issue? Any suggestions?
Notes:
No
Hi everyone! I switched our hub to Dirigera a few weeks ago and set it up using Matter in the Apple Home app.
We have one room with a Google Home Mini, so I’m wondering if I can just set it up via Matter in Google Home without losing any setup on Apple Home?
Thanks 🙏
I have both an 800 lumen and an 1100 lumen IKEA Tradfri smart bulb.
The 1100 lumen smart bulb will change colors with no issues, in both the IKEA smart home app, and google home, and via voice. But the 800 lumen will not.
Is that be design? Or did I install them incorrectly?
Do the 800 lumen Tradfri smart bulbs not change colors?
Hey folks, new to home automation with Ikea DIRIGERA, I have a few light zones and a remote connected and I need to replace my front door deadbolt. Schlage offers a zigbee version, is this something I can connect to my DIRIGERA and do something with?
I've been searching online and not getting anywhere, I suspect it won't work and wanted to ask someone more knowledgeable in this area.
Good day;
I have decided to change my smart home system to IKEA, so I will be ordering
10 Rodret along with some bulbs and I want to use rechargeable batteries, at home for other electronic devices I am using "Energizer 700 mAh NiMH AAA Batteries" is it ok to use those batteries for the remotes or do you recommend some other battery with different voltage etc?
My hesitation is; batteries that I have got the correct voltage or they may be to high?
Thank you in advance.
I can pair the styrbar remote with the lights or the blinds through the app and dirigera hub however I want one remote to control the lights (up and down) and blinds (left and right). Is this possible? Also can the remote buttons be exposed to google home, Alexa, or HomeKit without home assistant?
I have some lamps which need very small bulbs. Some of the enclosures are E14 and others B22 or E27
Unfortunately I’m unable to find bulbs which are small enough to work - especially for B22 (adapters add length)
Specifically looking for bulbs around 8cm total height or less with warm lighting options
Are there any custom options? I have Hue and Tradfri hubs but am willing to go with whatever can solve this problem
Thank you
Range of led smart bulbs in ikea is reducing. Using to be able to get rgbw bulbs. Now it all just white bulbs.
When investigating this check the USA ikea site and they now use term wifi.
Does anyone know if ikea is ditching zigbee or moving to WiFi for controlling the bulbs?
I'd not anyone any suggestion why ikea removes rgbw bulbs?
Thanks D
Hi,
I've bought two Somrig remotes and they are both connected through the IKEA Trådfri app on Homey.
I have the same issue with both of them. The upper button works like a charm, but the lower button doesn't respond. I've tried them in the same flow and the upper button execute the flow just as expected while nothing happens when I hit the lower button. Any suggestions what could be wrong?
Is it possible to connect multiple Alexa accounts (different users) to one IKEA Tradfri hub via Home Smart Application?
You cannot create multiple user profiles within the IKEA home smart application, it's all linked to one host email, basically one account only.
Hi there,
I have an odd problem. I just upgraded from an original hub to a DIRIGERA hub, which is connected to 3 Google Homes in 3 rooms (kitchen, living room, bathroom)
Before the upgrade, when I gave the command "Ok Google, turn the lights off" it would turn off the lights in the room I'm in. Now, it turns off all the lights in the whole apartment.
Any idea why it'd be different, and if I can change that?
I ordered 3 bulbs that all go into the same lamp simultaneously. Should each one be set up separately in the IKEA app, or can they all be det up at the same time, i.e. will they be recognised at 1 group when in the same lamp?
So I know there is possibility to integrate Ikea Tradfri with Phillips Ambilight TV, but does anyone know if it can be done with Samsung Hue Sync App?
My configuration is:
- Samsung S90C with latest Hue Sync App,
- RGB Tradfri bulbs with Styrbar remotes,
- Phillips Hue Bridge,
- Home Assistant with Zigbee on miniPC in my LAN.
I've tried emulating Tradfri bulbs in HA to Phillips Hues but it didn't worked. Currently I have all Tradfri bulbs added to Phillips Hue Bridge via Ikea Styrbar Switches.
Have IKEA pulled the UK version of their INSPELNING smart energy monitor plug?
I was on the IKEA UK website a few weeks ago and have retried the same link today for INSPELNING smart energy monitor plug and it instead takes me straight to the following generic smart tech page: https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/cat/smart-light-switches-remote-controls-36814/
If you search the IKEA UK site, it's as if it was never listed.
Any ideas about this?
Am I missing something here?
Hi,
loving my parasoll sensors, I tried to get notified if the door remains open too long, but I couldn't set the time to less than 15 minutes, which is a lot for a front door.
Any way to do it or work around?
thanks
We linked our system to Alexa, usually we use mostly scenes, Alexa doesn't seem to be able to recognize any of them. Is there a way to use them via voice commands? Turning off every device on a specific room would also be very helpful, if we can't figure that out we don't really have much use for voice commands.
Does anyone have experience with the Sonoff Water Valve working with the Dirigera hub? Either of the SWV-BSP or SWV-NH. I'm not concerned with the advanced features their own app offers, I'd just like to switch it on off manually and schedule with scenes like a bulb or outlet.
Renovating and we planned to do cabinet lighting. Our electrician roughed in low voltage wiring on a switch there our cabinets are located. Is it possible to hardwire low voltage wiring into the Tradfri driver? I’ve seen examples of people hardwiring 110v, but can’t find anything for 12v input.
Our drywall is already up and we are using the pax system and would really like to use the Oversidian lights. Any insight would be great
Thanks
Anyone successfully hooked up more of the ORMANÄS leds to one power supply, before i start cutting…
So I got a bunch of Ikea blinds and set them up with a Dirigera a little while back. All worked perfectly, but then a few days later I noticed that they weren't opening on the schedule. Loaded the app and it couldn't connect to the Dirigera. Went and looked at the hub and it is doing the 2 fast blinks on its light indicating no network. Checked on my router (Unifi DM) and sure enough it showed the hub having dropped off a few hours earlier.
I unplug the network cable from the hub, plug it back in and 10 seconds later it['s working fine again.... For about another 48 hours. A few days later it does exactly the same thing, simply drops off the network. The unit is still running because it doesn't need a reboot, it just needs the network cable unplugged and replugged.
Things I've tried:
Anyone have the same issue? It appears very much like an issue with these units themselves (Hardware or firmware) but I haven't seen any other reports of this type of thing.
It has been just a few days since we released adaptive lighting to DIRIGERA hub users and here comes the survey already.
Until January 7th 2025, 11:00 am (CET), you can give us feedback on our latest feature release. We really appreciate if you can take a few minutes to reflect and let us know your thoughts. Here is the link to the survey:
