so for my yearbook we get to do quotes and im wondering what some funny quotes from TOOL songs i could use? thanks in advance!
Just ordered the 64GB cassette USB off their website and was wondering if it comes with the demo tape downloaded or if I have to do that myself. Also, just curious what you guys think about this gimmick and if you own one, what have you loaded onto the drive?
If there is somebody in here that knows if Tool will perform in 2025, pls let me know.
Dude sometimes they trap me in that same feeling that tool does. I love it man, anyone else?
all day today there has been a part of a Tool song that has been stuck in my head. it's the title track to Fear Inoculum, but I'm talking about the part that starts around 5:50, and goes to the end of the song... that hypnptic slow riff has it's hooks in my brain, much like the slow riff at the very end of Parabola.
This is before Passive.
I listened to tool nonstop for a year and im now burned out of it. What should I do?
I'm not in a good context about personal life and events which caused Maynard to write this song.
I just love it. And going through something similar described in the song.
And I need to know - is there any biographical information to know whether the pieces eventually fit or not? I.e. did this relationship eventually worked out or the pieces fell away?

I know Joni Mitchell and Led Zeppelin are influences, but I don't hear it that much. Black Sabbath a little bit. But as far as bands that TOOL actually have a lot in common with sound wise, I would say the biggest are Swans, King Crimson, and Pink Floyd. I also think the band was probably influenced by bands that came out around the same time as them like Soundgarden and Melvins.

I know about Maynard's pre tool work but ive never seen this and was wondering if someone had more info on it?
An album by The Swell Fellas is really quite good. It gives me Tool adjacent vibes in the best way without being a carbon copy and bringing their own unique approach and sound. Worth checking out.

Just discovered him/them/this band and really liking it….Curious if other Tool heads are up on this…
I had an MP3 of this album years ago, and came to realize it's not on any streaming services. Well, now I have the CD and VHS of Salival.
I listen to a lot of Tool covers on Youtube. Some well recognised players that I subscribe to are John Kew on drums, Cameron Winters on guitar, and Leo Duzey playing bass.
There are each amazing musicians and masters of their craft.
I just found a singer doing Maynard covers who is nothing short of awesome. He's only got 100 subscribers so I think that counts as a hidden gem. Check him out: Cosmic Peace
