General Practitioners

Is there anybody that can recommend a good general practitioner doctor in the Toms River area? I was not too thrilled with my last doctor and I need to find one soon if possible.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions

Anywhere in town to buy Guarana in cans?

Guarana soda. I've seen the 2 liter bottles at Shoprite but I wouldn't drink half of it before it goes flat.

Did you get your mail-in ballot?

I got the daily usps email showing me what mail was coming early last week showing ballots were going to be delivered. Still nothing yet though. It does say to allow a week for mail to arrive when the email says it's coming.

Just wondering if anyone else in town has gotten theirs yet?

Why so many…

Body rub places and call girls in this town. My buddy mentioned it, and I thought he was joking… but wow. It’s everywhere. Why tho?

Primary Doctor Recommendations for 79 yr old

Hello - I am trying to find my father a primary care doctor in the Toms River area (geriatric specialist if possible as he is almost 80) and we are not happy with his current care. Can anyone recommend one in the vicinity?

Toxic groundwater? I

Hello

I am curious about this toxic groundwater from a company waste dumping into the ground . Is this still an issue? Is the water clean?

I read about a string of cancer cases due to contaminated water, which appears to have been in the 1900s (lmao) so quite a while ago. Just want to make sure that I’m not making a bad choice by moving to this area.

hey y’all

if it’s not too much of a hassle it’d be nice if you could show up to the town hall on Wednesday 28th at 7:00

as you may know Daniel Rodrick is going to be closing the code blue homeless shelter in town, and it’s going to cause not only problems for them but also lead to more people staying inside / breaking in to 24/7 / empty buildings during the winter. thanks

Night Time Beach Access

Hey all, what's your recommendation for the best spot with beach access for viewing the moon? I'd like to catch the next full moon, since it's also a seasonal blue moon 🌕but I know a lot of the beaches close after 8pm.

Thanks in advance!

Downtown apartment complex nixed

https://patch.com/new-jersey/tomsriver/toms-river-terminates-controversial-downtown-development-agreement

Mayor Rodrick killed the apartment complexes downtown. How does everyone feel about this? Apparently he wants to increase the size of Huddy Park with some of the land and add a waterfront promenade and a spray park. Sounds like good idea to me. I wasn't thrilled with the thought of downtown becoming even more heavily trafficked.

Although it would be nice if there was a little more to do there which having a thousand more people living downtown full time would have generated.

He also turned down a DOT grant that would have improved the flow of traffic downtown because he said that project was only created to allow for the new downtown apartments. That one I don't get though, it sounded like a good project that would benefit the area even without the apartment complex.
