Does anyone know how to get the path of fear side mission? I already have the nightmare dlc
i played these so much as a kid. i recently bought the 1-3 remaster and the games are so damn unnerving. the sound effects especially. the games just feel so lonely and terrifying to me. also the environments are mysterious. like the level floating islands in tomb raider 2, as a kid i always was scared of it. the opera house is also really creepy. i dont even have to mention the ocean levels.
I first played Tomb Raider 1 when I was 9yrs old. Like many young and bright eyed gamers back then, the game was way too difficult for me. So was TR3 and so was TR4 (never played TR2). However, I still loved the series all the same, and played the games a lot. Especially TR3.
I finished every TR game from Angel of Darkness onwards and still love the series, but never went back to the OG trilogy until the recent remasters released.
I played TR1 a few weeks ago and had an absolute blast with it. The level design, atmosphere, isolation and tomb raiding are all excellent. I played Anniversary back when it released but can't really remember it, so TR1 was fresh for me.
Over the years I've often seen TR2 being mentioned as the best of the OG trilogy, so I've always been excited to play it and thought the remasters would be the perfect opportunity. BUT...I'm 4 levels in and have just finished the Opera House level. And omg were they kidding with the amount of god damn human enemies in this game? 4 levels in and this game is exhausting! Also thank christ for being able to save your game freely, because I have no idea how kids would have been able to bruteforce their way through this game back in the 90's.
Does the frequency of combat remain consistent throughout the game? And is the game mainly set in urban areas? Where are the tombs? Please tell me there are actual tombs later on that I get to explore by myself without an endless parade of men jogging around every corner to meet me.
This is the shittiest picture I could take, but my camera sucks atm.
This is the room with the gold cage structure, where you have to open this underwater gate with a lever. Problem is: when I pull the lever, this image shows but the gate doesn't open. I pull it more times, the gate is still closed. I reload the game, and it still doesn't work. What do I do??
Disclaimer: I have not played these games in any form, to be clear. (Still waiting to see what the new patches might bring since I know there are still issues that should be resolved)
I distinctly remember reading pro-tank control posts (here and elsewhere) in the weeks leading up to the remaster.
I remember entire paragraphs written about how the tank controls are Tomb Raider, and that imposing anything modern would go against the whole game (the level design, the challenges, etc) since it's all designed around the player's mastery of the tank controls.
Did this change? Because now many seem to be praising the modern controls.
Do the modern controls fit hand and glove with the overall design/spirit of the trilogy?
Help lol
Do you guys think it's something that could happen? Before the remaster came out I had only completed TRII and the other two I simply couldn't handle lara well enough to understand some aspects of the game (and I was constantly scared to death with enemies spawning behind me out of nowhere). But now that I have completed all the three of them, it kinda makes me want this mechanic available in the other two games and god, I seriously feel like I could play inumerous custom levels more frequently. What are your thoughts?
I think i’ve come across a bug i’m not sure whether i’m just being stupid tho, I’m stuck on the water wheel puzzle (part 2) in cenote trying to open the gate and after i clear the debris and kill the Yaxill’s it only lets me turn the winch one way which is making it impossible for me to align the heads causing the water wheel to stay stationary and not allowing me to progress in the game. Has anyone else had this bug? I’ve reloaded the checkpoint about 5 times and still nothing, exited the game and yet again has failed to fix the bug. Is this a bug - if so how do i fix it?
I'm playing Rise of the Tomb Raider, trying to get 100% completion. The challenge where you shoot the 8 statues will not register the fact i finished the challenge. All of them are fully gone, even went back over the spots with explosives. The steam forum was of no help, but someone here must know what to do.
How do i fix this? Is there a way to fix this? Thank you in advance.
• In the Library in Willard's Lair • Do you think this is simply an Easter Egg, or possibly a hint that they're remastering Soul Reaver as well?!
(I apologize if this has been discussed already, nothing came up when I searched for it)
This is the last dive that remains to complete the challenge. I play from ps5 and every time I try to dive I can never do it. To dive I have to press L2 after jumping off the platform, but when I do Lara doesn't dive. Anyone have any advice to help me?
Apart from the one with Abigaile
Ive got no intention of 100% the game but if theres any fun side quests that arent just like
Talking to 5 outcasts
Please lmk
Thanks!
I'm currently playing Tomb Raider III Remastered and want to obtain the achievement "Incredibly Hard Boiled" by only using the pistols, but now I'm wondering if using the harpoons of the UPV in Lud's Gate counts as using another weapon as you are using up your harpoon ammo.
I have a question about TR3. I finished the game twice on normal mode and once on new game plus collecting all 60 secrets all three times but still didn't unlock the bonus level. Am I doing something wrong or?
Does someone know if you can kill enemies by running them over and shooting them with the skidoo and still get the achievement ? Do I need to avoid the skidoo at all costs ?
I'm about to finish Tomb Raider 2 and I was wondering if anyone can give advice on what's the order I should do between India and Antarctica. I played this game as a kid with my sister but she used a lot of the cheats to get through it due to its relentless difficulty and not having a PS1 memory card for our PS2. I replayed it years later on the PS3 and Vita but needed a lot of youtube videos to get through it.
