I have fond memories of the first Tombraider reboot where (if I recall correctly, it's been a LONNNG time) there was an extended mountain climb in some snowy, icey environs. Nepal?

Any other good climbs in the games?

Does the Floating Islands level in TR2 exist is some sort of an alternate or parallel universe? Does it exists in the cosmos? Or what it just a hallucination and part of Lara Croft's imagination?

I think the most plausible explanation is that it exists within another realm in Chinese mythology and the portal to it was opened when Marco Bartoli stabbed himself with the Dagger of Xian.

What do you think?

I can't for the life of me to get the ability "Howler's Troop" to work. I've seen a few Reddit posts about this. The only thing I can think of now is perhaps it doesn't work on animals in the game? I've been trying it on these two birds. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Looking for a Windows 11 compatible version of Chronicles and Angel of Darkness. Do I need an emulator or is there a PC version anywhere?

I'm not going to buy an entire console to play one singular game, and I don't want to bother with Xenia, and apparently the game has a "true ending" hidden behind a paywall (aka dlc), that is only available on Xbox. Meaning I'll be playing on the PC version which only has the game without any extra content.

My question is does the Main Campaign have a good ending, or even an ending? Or does all that the ending does is lead to the dlc story, so that you can actually see the ending?

If yes then second question: If I play Legend and Anniversary, and skip Underworld, would the story feel unfinished; Would I be missing much?

I totally didn't use nearly half of my healing resources.

The original PC version of Tomb Raider added extra atmosphere sound effects that weren't in the original PS1 or Saturn versions.

I've watched a lot of speedruns of the PC version and they seem to be used a lot. Almost non stop in later levels, to the point of them being annoying. It's also jarring when they just stop when a music cue is hit (through mods I think).

I'm not really a fan of them, and I'm worried that they'll be used in the upcoming remaster without any option to turn them off.

What are your opinions on them? Good? Bad?

I think Sophia Leigh is likely the most evil of the TR villains. She ran experiments on humans and animals using the power of the meteorite artifacts and dumped their bodies in the London sewers. She left the survivors in horrific conditions in the Aldwych station. It was revealed in the Lost Artifact that she ran a secret underwater facility where she was trying to merge humans with fish and had another secret facility under a zoo in France with a lot of mutilated bodies as a result of her experiments.

I think Natla and Willard are a close second and third with how horrific their mutant armies looked which is probably the result of painful experiments. Set is another contender as he is the symbol of evil and chaos.

I just played Rise and Shadow and I actually preferred Shadow. The exploration in Rise is annoying (to get to this ledge above you you must get to that rope on that mountain to get to it, even though it’s just above you). Also there was a lot of fighting towards the end which I normally like but it became “too” unrealistic. Shadow felt more real. Except for that stupid tomb puzzle where you use lights to turn the poles, Shadow is a much better game. Or am I on crack?

I missed the M-16 in Diving Area and the Wreck of Maria Doria.
