I was wondering if anyone can tell me about Dansa Empat Kali for a school assessment. From what I know, it is a traditional East Timorese dance. My grandparents are from East Timor so I have seen this dance being performed many times, but I don't know anything about the origins of it. Is it Portugese? Is it traditional to Timor-Leste? Is it Indonesian? I believe the words "Dansa Empat Kali" are Indonesian for "Dance Four Times". If anyone could please provide any information about the dance and it's origins, that would be amazing. Thank you so much!
Terima kasih banyak!
Greetings, I am considering taking a job in Dili and I wanted to know if English is widely spoken in the capital. Also, I speak Spanish fluently, so would it be useful to brush up on Portuguese to improve my ability to communicate or would I benefit more from studying Indonesian.
Want to travel to Timor-Leste next month and want to obtain travel visa from consulate in Kupang. Also then want to go by bus to Dili
Anyone experience with this?
did anyone know where i can buy game console like xbox series s in dili?
Hey, I'm going to be in Timor-Leste from 27 Jul until 04 Aug. I booked only the plane tickets so far and nothing else.
I'm currently looking on activities to do and places to stay. So far only thing i know for sure is that I'm going to spend 2-3 nights in Atauro mainly for diving.
Any recommendations with the below are very appreciated.
How long to spend in Dili and where to stay? (26yo solo male traveler)
Other than Dili and Atauro, where else should I look for to stay? Ideally in more rural areas, maybe in a homestay to experience the culture
Do you think getting a local guide is a good idea for some parts? If yes, where should i search for one?
Anything else is also appreciated.
Ps. This sub has some good info and is very recent

My American passport is simply a string of numbers. Citilink's online reservation system won't book a ticket unless your passport number contains a letter. What online service are you using to book tickets that accept American passport numbers. (Newer American passports do have a letter but my 7 year old one does not)
Firstly, do they even sell Fanta there? I can't seem to find any evidence that Timor has it's own local Fanta flavours and such. Still, I'd want to try some Fantas from there if possible as it would be a pretty addition.

Does anybody know if it is legal to bring in ADHD medication (e.g. Ritalin, as well as non-stimulant meds) if prescribed by a doctor, and accompanied by a doctor's note? Or is it illegal for foreigners?

Hi!
I run an escape room in southern Portugal and this is a weird request, but is there anyone willing to help me create instructions for a microwave dinner in Tetun?? The puzzle is this: There is a microwave meal in the fridge, if the players follow the instructions and put the meal in the microwave it will heat up enough to show some heat activated ink, which tells them how to get through the gate out of the room. On the other side of the gate, on the floor, is a Tetun-Portuguese or Tetun-English dictionary which the players can pull towards them with a broom. They can then use the dictionary to translate the cooking instructions.
I am trying with a translator, but when I reverse translate the results it's like something out of a fail meme.
