A place to discuss Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's cult puppet show show and related media.
Thunderbirds and its 2015 remake, Thunderbirds Are Go! follows the adventure of the five Tracy Brothers and their father Jeff, each of whom pilot their own incredible machine for use on rescue missions around the globe, hence their organisation's name: International Rescue.

In my imagination, Lady Penelope is my best friend. Not just the sort of friend who'll be the best one yet, but the sort of friend who will be like your sister. It was so calming and comforting having her by my side - it's almost like having a second mother. If Lady Penelope were your mother or best friend, what would change your life and what would happen during that turning point?
If you were a toddler right now, and your parents were away on business, Lady Penelope would take care of you and play with you as if you were her own daughter or son. I think it would be an excellent idea, but what do you think? Anything to do with this idea would be great, as Lady Penelope has never taken care of a child in the entire series. International Rescue have, though.
HELP!! I’m looking to identify which episode Lady Penelope teaches Parker how to eat spaghetti. I’m pretty sure you all know which episode has that scene, I’d love to show my children how marionettes eat pasta!!
This Is a Stingray-related question: what would a cuddle with Marina feel like? I bet Marina is a sensitive yet kind feminine beast who loves to freely swim in the ocean, but she never once got a cuddle. So, what would a cuddle with her feel like?
I've been sick, and binge-watching Joe 90. I hadn't heard about this show until this century (I grew up in the 1970s in Chicago), but while the marionettes are impressive, I'm not quite sure what audience they targeted. Adults? Children who wanted license to shoot adults?
I know this isn't related to Thunderbirds in any case, it's related to another Gerry Anderson show, but if one of my favourite characters, Titan, gets sick, how does his faithful spy X20 take care of him? I would love to know.
I like to imagine it's the same as in that video I saw on Youtube starring that Kawaii cat: a nice, warm bath with an orange bath bomb, some cinnamon tea and a pumpkin spice scented face mask. What do you think her skincare routine for Autumn is like?
I'll go first: I'd describe her as comforting, soft and gentle. How would you describe her?
Is the title “Tha Man From TB5” on Amazon prime a typo or just how it’s supposed to be because it’s been like that for years
It says "connection lost", could it be that the servers were shut down? Does anyone know how to play?
Who remembers the seriously dark DVLA PIF from the early 2000's featuring characters from Thunderbirds? My favourite part of the whole advert is when Lady Penelope cuts the strings off Parker, and at the end he can't stand up again. Anyone else remember that advert?
Who remembers the 1993 advert for Kitkat featuring Scott Tracy? It features the opening countdown from the show, but when Thunderbird 1 doesn't take off, the narrator gets more and more angry as Scott enjoys his tea break, and the announcer says: "Have a break. Have a Kitkat." He should've said before that, "Even heroes deserve time off." So, do any of you remember this advert?
Just asking.
The things you do when you are bored 😅
Hey, Thunderbirds fans! I've been working on a Thunderbirds Are Go-inspired comic strip idea called Full of Fun, where I imagine my toddler self hanging out with Lady Penelope, Parker, and their pup Sherbet. Think of it as a series of mini-adventures with a playful twist—Penelope and Parker are always up for some mischief with a little one in tow! I’d love to get your thoughts on what kinds of shenanigans they could get up to, or just connect with other fans who love seeing the characters in a fresh, fun setting. 😊 Any fellow fans out there with a soft spot for Penelope's sense of style and humor?
I've been rewatching TAG Season 1 lately and a question that has been lingering on my mind is how did The Hood exactly find the Island's location in Season 1 Episode 26 "Legacy"?
Was there ever an official reason, or is it just fan theory's?
If it's just fan theory's, i'm perfectly fine with that and i would love to hear them
:)
Looking for some TV shows that use amazing miniatures like in Thunderbirds, with all the explosions and action.
Thunderbirds Live Action Script Idea
Hello there, screenplay enthusiasts!
So I have this idea (more like fanfiction because what do I know about owning copyrighted material?) to write a few scripts for a live-action Thunderbirds trilogy. I sincerely believe (given I've been a fan of the franchise for as long as I can remember, and I'm only in my mid-20s!) that a live-action Thunderbirds film would be a great addition to modern blockbuster cinema, given the failure of the first one in 2004 and that the classic 1965 series and its 2015 reboot are still well received.
I think it fits the following criteria well: it has a plethora of stories that can adapted to fit a traditional three-act structure; it's relatively untapped so people aren't necessarily tired of it, in fact, I feel it's still relatively niche maybe?; it's known for it's cracking special effects and beautiful musical suites composed by the legendary Barry Gray; and it's a great opportunity to bring the Tracy's and their machines into the modern era, maybe make things more mature but still keep an optimistic and authentically sincere attitude (when everything feels so meta and cynical today), whilst keeping some of the retro-futuristic elements from the classic series.
My very rough initial idea for the trilogy is this:
First film: adapts the classic episodes "Trapped in the Sky" and "Alias Mr Hackenbacker"; The Hood wants to get revenge on his half-brother Kyrano after they were separated when an illegal diamond mine in the jungles of Malaya they were enslaved to collapsed. He intends to exact vengeance on Kyrano for all the ills he suffered whilst Kyrano was picked up by wealthy ex-astronaut Jeff Tracy (founder of International Rescue); he has his criminal underlings plant a bomb on the landing gear of the new atomic hypersonic airliner Fireflash as it takes off on its maiden voyage whilst it also hosts an illustrious fashion show hosted by the impeccably camp Françios Lemaire; Tin-Tin Kyrano (The Hood's half-niece and Kyrano's daughter) is attending the event as well. It sees the Tracy boys attempting to save the Fireflash and stop The Hood from getting innocent people killed and potentially stealing their secrets to sell to the highest bidder.
Second film: adapts the classic "Terror in New York City". Not only does it see Thunderbird 2 mistakenly shot down by the US Navy, it sees the collapse of the Empire State Building due to land subsidence from underground river expansion, which would trap Ned Cook and his cameraman Joe underground, along with up to 10 - 20 odd others. Not only do International Rescue have to race against time to save them all, they have to do it without their heavy duty transporter.
Third film: adapts "Atlantic Inferno". It would see Jeff's health deteriorating and Lady Penelope invites him to recuperate on her residence in Australia; this puts the eldest brother, Scott Tracy, in charge, and he has to grapple with the responsibilities of leading the organisation, just as the US Navy is conducting underwater nuclear tests which accidentally go wrong and ends up threatening the safety of a drilling rig, Seascape. It would end with IR being successful, but Jeff ends up passing away in a bittersweet ending. There is an epilogue where the Tracy's hold a funeral in his honour and decide to pass on IR's wondrous technology to the nations they can trust with it, allowing Jeff's legacy to be spread worldwide and thematically ties back into The Hood's original grievance that IR idly sits by and watches the world go past as people suffer and die around them.
My question is, is this a good idea to start writing scripts for them all? Do you think it's a good idea to adapt classic episodes or try and craft a brand new, original narrative that still keeps with the spirit of the franchise? I just feel the latter is less safe and more prone to failure than the former.
Would love to hear thoughts!
One what happened to thunderbirds? Like season 1, 2, 3, and 4 are on Amazon, but then I figure out that it's not season 1, 2, 3, and 4 and that's it series 1, 2, and 3. And that's not on Amazon us. And two why can't I watch it on any streaming service I can't find thunderbirds on any streaming service in the US. I found one way to watch it but then I would have to pay for Amazon prime UK and a trial of itv hub+. I'm just trying to watch the last of thunderbirds reboot in the US free or not free (preferably free tho)
I would like to share with you my story idea 'Scars Of The Wild'. In this lonely, dark story, I am a loner out on the streets who gets put into an asylum after killing a load of children at the playground with a shovel. Instead of electrocuting me to death, the guards throw me off the cliff into the sea, where I end up on an island inhabited by some familiar puppet characters: Lady Penelope, Parker, Captain Scarlet, Captain Magenta, Titan and Oink the seal (the last two characters are from Stingray). There, I find a life of solitude and peace in this vast new world, with Lady Penelope promising to take care of me. The premise is inspired by the film version of 'Where The Wild Things Are' by the way.
