The 10th annual Michigan State University Science Festival is happening now through April 30th with free events, celebrating and exploring science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM)
One of this year’s main features, Science in the Gardens, invites attendees to visit MSU’s Horticulture Gardens on April 9-10. Attendees will explore such things as butterflies in the garden and machine learning, to understanding how well movies obey the laws of physics, chemistry demonstrations, and much more.
Other feature events for the 2022 MSU Science Festival include:
Not only will attendees be able to participate in programs, tours, and hands-on learning on MSU’s campus, but they will also have the opportunity to connect with scientific venues in regions throughout Michigan, including a museum in Kalamazoo, a planetarium in Jackson, and an observatory in Detroit.
All events are free, and a full list of in-person / virtual events, frequently asked questions, resources for educators, and more, can be found by visiting Michigan State University’s Science Festival website.
You should know; if you’re having any problems with the UIA please contact senator Dan Lauwers. He is currently on a senate committee that has the power to fix many of the problems the UIA is currently experiencing.
My concern is that many Michiganders are breaking down during these difficult times. One individual I meet online, a young man struggling to find work that covered rent costs, seems to have lost all hope. My fear is he is no longer with us but I’ve been unable to locate him :( Thoughts and prayers going out to everyone suffering right now, I hope we can work together to improve everyones lives. This is a heritage route that goes to some communities, and is an access road for lots of farm estates here and there, and is kinda the west edge of "the thumb", and it goes to Bay City.
#M-24
This highway passes by some campgrounds, and has some farmland and a few small communities, and goes to Caro which is the county seat of Tuscola county.
#M-53
This here is the main major highway for The Thumb area, passes by a few communities, and has lots of farm estates accessible by it with some scenic agriculture views, kinda the bone of the finger, this one goes to the tip of the thumb.
#M-19
This route serves as an access road to a handful of rural communities and farm estates in the thumb, and it has a few concurrences with some east-west routes, and also uses a few other rural east-west roads as brief "offsets" of the north-south roadway.
#M-25
This here is the shore side scenic route for Lake Huron, and is on The Great Lakes Circle Tour route system. It passes by a few campgrounds, and a few communities, and also serves as the common terminus for many M-routes in the thumb area.
Known for the ability for birders to get up close to wildlife and offer amazing views, theFish Point Wildlife Area is a large sanctuary. With over 3,700 acres and including about seven miles along the Saginaw Bay shoreline. Before 1950, all of the present wildlife was in private ownership. The State began acquiring the land in 1950 for “protecting natural shoreline habitat and enhancing waterfowl production, improving resting and feeding areas for migratory waterfowl and providing waterfowl hunting opportunities.”
Would be nice to see what's going on in our little corner of the world.
